Give the guy credit. He's hanging upside down, he's no kid at this point, and he finished the number and never lost his cool. I don't care if they were doing dubstep, disco or classical. Tommy Lee is a trooper!
I have seen the negative comments here and I understand some people aren't happy with the music but I think a lot of people missed the point of what Tommy was doing here. Ever since the early 80's Tommy said one day he was going to play the drums on a roller coaster. I mean, when they were still playing The Troubadour, The Whisky and Gazzaris on The Sunset Strip, Tommy was saying that he was going to do what he did in this video. I have seen him nailed to a ceiling and on a loop-the-loop contraption and I even saw him in 2014 at the beginning of this tour and he didn't have this roller coaster. He had it the second time I saw him in December of 2015. And he kept yelling this, "I'M LIVING MY DREAM!" He was in the moment and he and all of Motley Crue literally provided proof that your dreams can come true with hard work. I'm not saying anyone should agree to the music he is playing, but I certainly respect the fact that he lived his dream and I got to experience it with him
That episode was mocking bands not using drummers, so they decided to use the band with one of the craziest drum solos, they got inspired buy this band
I know what you mean. my first concert was the Mötley Cru Dr Feelgood tour when I was 16. Tommy was in a flying cage which was awesome and cell phones weren't even invented yet which was even more awesome.
Ya'll came to Greenville,South Carolina and I will never forget Tommy's awesome drum solo, kick ass last time that after being a fan for 20+ years, I was there, I have the pics, the video, the memories! Thank ya'll, Motley Crue for all you guys have meant to me throughout these years, nothing but love guys ❤
Give him credit though. He was upside down for a while there still playing. Lol I love him. yeah the solo's cool/ridiculous but I still love it and think it's awesome. He's still a great hard rock drummer! He was a big influence for me
I'm 18 and seen them 6 times lucky enough to see them on there farewell tour to and there will never be a band that will ever put on a show as good as crue God bless all the crue heads out there we will miss you Motley
+Rosie Guy Thank you! Yes he is. I loved every moment of the show last night,,,this mishap was just all part of the fun and I am glad I had the sense to record it as it is a classic!
Boy Tommy really had to think on his feet no pun intended... from the always popular "Holy shit!!!!!" to his mesmerizing mantra "What the fuck???" and who can forget "Whooooooooo!!!!"
I saw the show at the Honda Center a couple of weeks ago and it was a decent show but basically all these guys do is yell "fuck" through the whole show. And everyone goes nuts. o_O
The roller coaster thing is amazing I love that you have made the concert so interesting and I also think it's great that you obviously have a good sense of business as you are so successful!!!!!!
Commit tommy lee is really good friends with sonny so he playing to his ragga bomb/ ease my mind mix... and also deep down low from Valentino khan which he is a part of owsla, sonnys record label
Tommy Lee, the one could pull this off especially hanging upside down! man he is the best and his heart is in the right place! NEVER have I seen a show where the drummer is going round &round on a rollercoaster! love motley crew, but Tommy is really the reason for a great show!!!
Yet, no nerds, geeks or makers ever get any credit for making things like this. All the people who fabricated this coaster, designed the motherboards, communication relays, programs, and power supplies never get any recognition. All we get is abuse and bullying for the people who ask for what we can make. Think about it. What would this concert look like without the fire, fog, cool lights, audio or even the coaster itself. Pretty dull. So let's give credit and raise up our support for the geeks and nerds and makers because they make our lives just a bit easier and definitely much more entertaining... In the words of Bill Gates: "Be nice to nerds, chances are you'll end up working for one."
What he needs to do for their comeback tour is have a drum hamster ball made. He sits inside this great big ball of drums and it rolls around the stage and he controls it while playing. Of course it'll roll off the stage and into the audience and people will die, and the funny part is that Vince Neil won't even be driving it.
Some people are saying this is fake. I saw their previous show at the honda center a couple weeks ago and it didn't get stuck like this. Ladies and gentlemen this is not fake! When I saw it, the roller coaster went all the way to the end and back.
I was one of the lucky bastards who was there for the last Motley Crue show. I watched their 2 shows prior to this on Monday and Wednesday and this did not happen. Great way to go out ;)
+MrYorkieLover Fitness God damn...I'm on the other side of the world with a tear in my eye because I never got the chance to see them live...would give anything to be there on that last show...hope it was the best shit ever man!
I thought Motley Crue was a Rock (Hair/Glam, Heavy Metal) band not some "'drum on a techno beat'' band... whats wrong with them, play some Rock N' Roll
+Bourbonator tbh the drums are much better in generas such as drum and bass and dubstep, making this part of the show much more intense since it's just tommy drumming.
to see where Tommy got the idea to play upside down search you tube for "world's first upside down drummer". There you will see Mick Mars in his 70's band Whitehorse (aka Mottley Croo) performing in a home movie with the first flying drummer.
I've seen his kit spin, I've seen Tommy leap thru the rafters to different types of drums like spider~man and the ultimate a drum roller coaster !!!...Great !!!
Hi Stuart, I work with CNN. Could we have your permission to use your video on all our platforms? I sent you a private message with additional details if you are interested. Thanks for your time.
Trying to figure out all the techno and dubstep songs he did you you guys could help. 1:13 is "I Am Legion [Noisia x Foreign Beggars] - Make Those Move"
okay i just watched The Dirt Motley Crues Biopic movie and i mean i knew who they were and heard some songs from my parents in the car (as i was born in 2002 and im only 20) but damn i was born in the wrong era i wish i could have lived in the 80s/90s and experience them in there prime.
That was definitely an OSHA rule breaker! Crazy that I signed on to make a comment and the person below me in the comment box has my exact same name...first and last!
Give the guy credit. He's hanging upside down, he's no kid at this point, and he finished the number and never lost his cool. I don't care if they were doing dubstep, disco or classical. Tommy Lee is a trooper!
dubstep died in 2010. 20 years after motley crue's career.
There has never been anyone who has enjoyed being a rockstar as much as Tommy Lee has.
Very true there
I realize Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream new movies online ?
@Israel Alvin I watch on Flixzone. You can find it on google :)

haha!!
Tommy just redefined Rock and "Roll".
Yeah baby! He turned a disaster into the coolest thing to ever happen live on any stage.
+Anthony Ulibarri Thank you for this comment as I thought the same exact thing when it was happening.
Great minds think alike!
The real stars are the mad men fixing the rollercoaster without any ropes...
Agreed!
No doubt about it, the dude is a top class entertainer. Props to him and the crew for not losing it.
Benson did this on Regular Show.
That episode was mocking bands not using drummers, so they decided to use the band with one of the craziest drum solos, they got inspired buy this band
The things you gotta do for kicks after you've already been blown by Pamela Anderson, and the drugs won't get you high anymore.. hahaha!
the amount of phones used during the show is freakin' sad. concerts will never be the same when they werent like this.
+Branden Lucero And if it weren't for those phones you woudln't be watching this video commenting on it.
+Branden Lucero People don't experience anything anymore, they just want to upload and show their friends later on.
+Branden Lucero and before phones they used cameras. Nothings different.
"Nothings different" lol, yeah sure
I know what you mean. my first concert was the Mötley Cru Dr Feelgood tour when I was 16. Tommy was in a flying cage which was awesome and cell phones weren't even invented yet which was even more awesome.

I'm just surprised one of the maintenance guys didn't fall off. They didn't have cables hooked up to them or anything.
+Matthew Wilson That surprised me too!
+Matthew Wilson That's the whole reason I kept recording...I thought one of those guys were going to fall for sure!
+Matthew Wilson Once in my city, one of those guys died in a concert cause of that.
+Alef Berg Did you see the concert? What band was it for?
+Matthew Wilson A rigger fell to his death on the Kiss Animalize tour
I'm 18 and seen them 6 times lucky enough to see them on there farewell tour to and there will never be a band that will ever put on a show as good as crue God bless all the crue heads out there we will miss you Motley
Six flags meets metal mayhem = Tommy Lee 🥁🎈
He handled that like a champ! He is awesome.
I was just in shock with the hole performance! This is amazing!!!

thank you for uploading this!!! What a moment to capture!!! Tommy is a legend!!!

I was in New Haven when he fell off the drum kit from the ceiling. The whole concert ended and he got taken away on a stretcher.
I went to Carnival of Sins tour. fukin awesome!!🤘🤘🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👏👏👏. Tommy's solo was on a platform above my seat. so awesome!!!
Great band, remember drinking beer in class, listening to Crue!!
Thanks for recording that. Went to 2 of their shows this last week (not this one). That was a treat. Happy new year Stuart!
+Cuberfied ! Thank you! It was the best Motley Crue show I have ever been to, even with the coaster mishap.
Happy New Year!
The roller coaster thing is amazing I love that you have made the concert so interesting and I also think it's great that you obviously have a good sense of business as you are so successful!!!!!!
That drum roller coaster worked fine at the San Diego show shortly before this. It was an incredible show.
I just was waiting for him to drop a drum stick or something
I was there! Concert ruled!
+Robert Savage Yes it did!
+pouceeter What kind of logic is that? "If you paid to see them, it's your fault if one of them fell to their death in a stunt that they planned."
pouceeter Uh. What? I'm a Greek in America that works. I'm also a Native American, so that too. But that isn't related to this video at all.
+Kalam1ty Plays
Chill, bro. You don't know what the Greeks did to his family. It was horrible.
+Kalam1ty Plays
Chill, bro. You don't know what the Greeks did to his family. It was horrible.
since when did motley crue become a skrillex cover band? god damn I feel old.
that was my first thought
+Commit lol
i was thinking that too

Sickest fucking thing. Tommy Lee in Deep Down Low is fucking 12/10 bro, that shit was wild.
I LOVE ❤️ TOMMY LEE💋🤘
Tommy Lee, the one could pull this off especially hanging upside down! man he is the best and his heart is in the right place! NEVER have I seen a show where the drummer is going round &round on a rollercoaster! love motley crew, but Tommy is really the reason for a great show!!!

Yet do I see nerds doing these drums tho and plus he asked to build it soooo
Maintenance Guys are fearless, lol. No cords or cables and went that high to save that drummer. Gee
Tommy lee: fuck
people: WOWOOOOOOOOHOHOHHOWJKGOJWHOWOOOOOOOOOO
He should have that drum coaster do 40 mph, yeah baby!!!
What he needs to do for their comeback tour is have a drum hamster ball made. He sits inside this great big ball of drums and it rolls around the stage and he controls it while playing. You gotta love Tommy lee, man. He is awesome
You went full creative man, never go full creative
Serves him right for bringing Bruno Mars into the mix!
High end entertaining vocabulary from a local commentator & for the local plebs...

Mishap aside, this is the coolest idea EVER.
I thought Motley Crue was a Rock (Hair/Glam, Heavy Metal) band not some "'drum on a techno beat'' band... whats wrong with them, play some Rock N' Roll
It's a motherfucking drum solo, chill dude
Nothing is wrong, just because he has your rocker ideal look can't mean he can't rock out to other music.
They are Mötley fucking Crüe
+MrEinsteinmaniac yes!!!!!
good job tech #1 for heading up SECONDS after the problem became apparent
Handled it like a pro and a boss!
I think that this is going above and beyond!!!
- Spinning drum set was more bad ass in '87.
What was with the weird ass dubstep? Or the rest of the pop music for that matter? I thought this was meant to be a Heavy Metal gig
+Bourbonator They want to sell tickets, so they do modern crap.
+M Ba I hate to say it because I love Motley Crue but if that isnt selling out I dont know what is
+Bourbonator tbh the drums are much better in generas such as drum and bass and dubstep, making this part of the show much more intense since it's just tommy drumming.
+CAMPO Well they're classified as a glam metal band so...
He is crazy
cool thing to release in the official dvd/blu-ray
a great showman Tommy Lee.
he can turn on the crowd despite his roller coaster being stuck in the middle of the show...
Wow! Amazing feat of Engineering! Hope they get credit too!
LMFSBO what a Spinal Tap moment!!!!
to see where Tommy got the idea to play upside down search you tube for "world's first upside down drummer". There you will see Mick Mars in his 70's band Whitehorse (aka Mottley Croo) performing in a home movie with the first flying drummer.

Tommy Lee has always done some amazing things with his drum kit and such, very awesome !!!
I've seen his kit spin, I've seen Tommy leap thru the rafters to different types of drums like spider~man and the ultimate a drum roller coaster !!!...Great !!!

Does EVERYONE have to hold up their phones? I mean, they're all going to send up on RUclips anyway, so you might as well savor the moment instead.
