Really glad you decided to start doing these vlogs Jimmy. Keep it up!
ProjectRecon1 thank you !!
Sounds like Willie has had quiet the life!
About the bridge, nail some chicken wire over the planks for extra grip, it's what they do to make icey dock pontoons safe to walk on in winter and it works great!
chicken wire is a good idea
John Smith sounds like a good way pop a tire if the chicken wire breaks
John Smith expanded metal is a bit better than chicken wire.
ernst ernst never seen it happen but you can't discount it either I suppose, but I think I'd rather take the chance than have someone roll a vehicle off the bridge and have it roll over onto them and trap them underneath.
Billy Beane Yep that would work great too I think.
Wow. I cannot believe I made it into one of your videos. Surreal!
I worked EMS in the LES and got to know 1000 Willies. Always love to hear the stories.
Love the Willie Stories, definitely have to keep them coming! Great stuff as always Jimmy!
Thanks for featuring Willie and for sharing his NY story! That was crazy! Definitely more of Willie's stories!
I'm really glad you managed to get Willie to share one of his stories with us all. Always look forward to the VLOG vids Jimmy, great work buddy!
I look forward to your vlog every week. I love the way you cut up the different parts with little vignettes of the lives of your pets, nice touch.
I honestly didn't think these videos could get any better but Willie's story's are gonna be an awesome addition.
Showing old videos is a good way to let some of your newer viewers see them. Thank you! Glad to see that Willie wasn't injured other than perhaps his pride. Be sure to tell Willie that we loved his story about the donut... still chuckling about it. All sorts of cop vs donut jokes come to mind LOL
Yeah pretty glad you are doing these as well. Willie's new york stories is the cherry on top!
Jimmy! I've been loving the updates. Glad to hear all the plans are moving along with your upstate projects. The Willie stories are a great addition. I could listen to him all day.
Take care brother,
John
I really can't get enough of these updates jimmy. Thank you.
I don't comment much cause by the time I get to see the video there are thousands of comments, I just wanted you to know that I love your video's, you are a very talented individual and have learned a lot from you.
I'm loving the clog video's and you definitely have to get more videos with Willie in them, I lmao hearing his story, and it's hilarious hearing the rooster crow in your clogs :) keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!
dana smith thank you!!!
I like these blogs, I already seen all the old videos on another channels but every time you upload it here i watch it again, every time I watch them I can see more little details that define your craftsmanship.
Keep up the good work Kimmy, would love to see you doing some simple furniture or some starting guides to someone that wants to do what you do.
I'm not sure why, but I didn't expect Willie to sound like that.
Willie IS New York! I live in ny my entire life and there are hundreds if not thousands of people like him with great stories that makes NY so unique. More Willie please
Always good to watch a DiResta video no matter the topic or subject..thanks!
Love the vlogs, Jimmy! I've been a long time sub, and have always enjoyed the videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them!
Thank's Jimmy, I always appreciate the time you take!
Enjoying the vlogs Jimmy! Love the old videos too, I think it's great when I see them posted and i can re-watch something I enjoyed before.
I've been wondering about Willie for a long time. Looking forward to more stories.
Good luck with all the red tape on the gas station. Looks like a cool building.
Loving the vlog Jimmy, very nice addition to your other videos. Can't wait to hear more Willie stories!
Jimmy ... I never post a comment but just wanted to say I've been on board since pre-100k subs. All the best on the push to a Million Subs! I'm a professional Firefighter and furniture builder ... can't tell you how much I look forward to seeing your new posts. Loved the video with your Dad ... obviously reminds me of all the knowledge I've gained from the older guys around the hall over the years. All the best.
Scott Preston thank you scott!
Willie the GOAT. Meeting him in person he was just so genuine and welcoming. His eyes speak volumes when he's telling his story.
I love the vlogs! It definitely shows what kind of nice person you are! Keep on!
Great videos. I'm a New Yorker stuck in ILL. and really miss back home. I love when you show the city in your vids and I would love to hear more of willie's stories, it brings me back. thanks for your hard work.
Willie reminds me of an old neighbor that lived a fast life and did a lot of time. Overall a good hearted guy. Just not the guy you wanna cross. Good stories.!
i love all the animals in the vid and its funny that you woke the rooster instead of the other way around
I appreciate you posting old videos I might not've seen.
Did you find Willy "on the streets of New York"?
I love your videos! You seem like a genuinely nice guy and I wish you all the best. Keep up the great work!
I love the vlogs. It keeps the feel real. Makes us all know it's not a corporate deal.
Keep doing what you're doing. Thanks Jimmy
Thanks for the videos you make, they always inspire me to create. Can't wait to see the distillery sign being assembled.
I like the Willie stories as well, it was a little hard to hear at times over the atmospheric noise though.
Working in a jail, willies story is horrifying to me!! That's the kind of thing I have nightmares about.
Hey Jimmy. im so stoked you've shown us a little about Willie. he's a good man.
Appreciate the update, Jimmy!
Also, Willie sounds absolutely nuts. The man has balls. I'd be shitting myself if I were in that situation.
I was introduced to your channel through your knife in a cane video. Cant believe what Ive been missing. Im an inspiring videomaking/editor and I've always loved wood working since high school. Ive gotten a huge spark of creativity and motivation since I've been watching you. Thank you, Im going to be like you one day with a shop to my self haha!
Yes some more stories from Willie would be great. Your relationship to him has possibly saved his life by giving him a higher purpose. This is a wonderful story in of itself.
I would consider helping you with your pole barn this summer.
I have enjoyed your videos and work from the very beginning.
I love these vlogs jimmy keep em up and don't worry about the length the longer the better!
I've been waiting to hear more about Willie....I've noticed him melding into your life via the videos.....keep more coming !!!
Loving Willie's stories. Always a pleasure seeing you Jimmy.
Love the vlogs man. All the content is excellent.
Thanks Jimmy. I find the v-logs interesting so keep going. Willie came of age I am sure, in a very different NYC then most people know today. His stories will be fascinating. I am a LI guy now living not too far from you upstate and his story reminds me of those told to me by my Gypsy cabbie neighbor while growing up. Here's hoping Willie will continue to share.
I love the 'silent' vids but the vlogs are good, too. Looking forward to more Willie stories!
Your vlog is the best one out there. I love it!
Glad no one got hurt in the car incident.
Much love for you and your work from Czech republic, Jimmy!
I live in Levittown pa and know a guy just like Willie. I would sit at the bar and listen for hours to the stories. Keep them coming.
It's awesome how you created a community on this channel that allows you to meet people with similar interests!
It's a little unfair that your video editing and composition skills are on par with your skill in the shop! Love your channel. Keep it coming!
congrats on the new space! can't wait to see you fill it with tools and projects. Love the vlogs!
Good thing Willie didn't get hurt. Love to listen to Storie like that , I alway try to have my Dad (88yrs old) tell my kids stories from the past. Good one Jimmy, Thanks...
Yes, please share more of Willie's stories!
I love listening to old timers life stories!! I look forward to hearing more!!
There needs to be a petition for Stories from Willie, I will be the first to sign it.

Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. Please keep asking Willie to tell his stories. I love everything you do and I hope you get some sleep between work and all of these videos. As my grandfather would say "you're busier than a cat covering up shit!" Mad love and respect!
So I understand that Willie had quite a history with drugs and crime? But how did he end up in your "care" ?
Auarhau Willy helped Jimmy move to his new house and he hired him
I love your work and style. Please keep bringing your videos over here!

Having willie telling stories isn't an option. It's mandatory. That was an awesome story.
just subbed to your other channel. I love how you explain a little more then normal videos. I do have a suggestion, you should have a warning on your videos, they are extremely addicting and inspirational! keep up the great work! bullet bourbon rye. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Much love from Scotland!
Great Vlog! Thanks for keeping them up. Why black and white filter when you're talking?
Your the best, very excited to watch the evolution of the garage.
Jimmy! Love all your vids and content. Been a subscriber since you first made your Leatherman belt clip and I've seen every video since (literally). My Dad works for Leatherman in Portland, OR and I recently saw the haul that David Waelder got from them. Very cool! You gotta do something with them as well. I can put in a great word for ya 😂. Keep up the great videos and amazing content. Keep making!!!
+ofNeeko 78 thank you !! I need an inside man!! Put the good word in ! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼 Thank You!
You got it! Let me know if ya need anything. Consider the word put! 😂. Let me know if there's an email address that I can message you with or anything specific that you'd like me to pass along to the Leatherman folks. My Dad is a purchasing agent for them and works with all the office folks. I'm sure I can find some info through your website. Thanks for the response.
Neeko 78 thank you!! Jimmydiresta@mac.com
Keep going 👍🏼 nice video and please we need willie stores 🌹
Definitely more from Willie and your Dad please. Such characters with great stories, and that's something you can't manufacture on RUclips. Thank you Jimmy
Cops? Didn't steal the donut.?
Very nice idea to communicate with fans and reinforces the friendly atmosphere you already created while working and explaining things.
good stuff Jimmy. I met the outside of your shop and the bench a few weeks ago, that was pretty fun. hopefully I'll meet you someday
Good Morning Jimmy. Yep, the story time portion of the video is a keeper.
I really enjoy the v-logs, esp the sneak peeks of the upcoming videos,
Have a great weekend, hope its filled with successful projects and learning opportunities.
I totally respect Jimmy's work and his genuine videos. Too many youtube makers are attempting to be comedians and not relying on their abilities. RUclips needs more of this. More Norm Abrams and Tom Silvia's and less Chip Gaines and Pete Nelson. Real men building real shit and not acting like clowns. Love the vids.
Thank you! thank you!
Still I'm in love with the ROOSTER background sound, wish you Jimmy to do all velog early morning to hear it again, by the way, I enjoy your old video for second time and thump-up again
I've always wanted to know more about Willie
Thank you for sharing!
great video man! please ask willie for more stories. I bet he has enough great stories to fill a thick book or make one hell of a movie! tell him my heart started racing a bit just hearing the story. intense ! and I got to say , you make some awesome things man! your and artist . peace
Yes! We love when u visit us Jimmy, love from KY.
