I'm so impressed by how you repaired that Kenner T-Rex. First you carefully and cautiously took it apart and fixed the mechanism inside. Such a VERY good job.

This actually makes me more confident in buying a broken figure. I've never owned any of the Kenner rexes only the Mattel one. Lately I've been looking for some good deals on the original figure and alot either have horribly kinked necks or tails or missing limbs.

Thank you for this great video! My brother's T-Rex broke when my son played with it. You saved my day, and I was able to fix it. Im my case, the cable was brocken, which took somecextra effort. It took me two days, but it worked out!

Could you make a video explaining more how to fix the kink in the tail so I can do it to mine.
From what I know, you just have to put the tail in some boiling water yo fix the kink.

My rex constantly roars. I think the button is just stuck. Is there a way i can fix it with out performing surgery. Also I can't decide if I should get rid of the kink because it's kind of iconic

Another question the rubber for the T. rex that you made is a hard rubber like the bull T. rex of a softer rubber like the thrasher
I am not sure because have never seen one in person. It is a softer rubber if I was to pick

Just acquired a red rex and I'm trying to fix it up like you did. This video has been rather helpful, though at the moment I am stuck. I can't exactly roll up the first half of the skin, and the two halves are refusing to pull apart.
As well as when I went to open up the underbelly where the battery was, instead of it being empty there's a rusty battery still plugged in. Anyone have any suggestions?
Gently pull the battery out (use a tool if it's stuck), and clean the battery compartment/contacts with Q-tips and vinegar. Vinegar cuts thru (oxidizes?) the battery acid residue.

Hi! There is a problem here :
When you press the chest, the toy roar but the mouth is supposed to open, not to close. (check other review videos to see how it is supposed to work)
There must have been something that changed on yours, because the mechanism is closing the mouth instead of opening it wide.
Yes, I've since been made aware. It's so interesting, how did my rex's mechanism somehow invert at some point before getting it.
In any case I'm happy it works, although the other way round 😅🦖

I believe that this T Rex is still the best of all JP line figures, I’m not saying the others are bad... well only the Hasbro’s 2015 from Jurassic World, that one is horrible, but this one of 1993 is just beautiful
the mechanism in mine simply refuses to be serviced. unless i rend some parts in the mechanism casing
i had to cut off part of the leg "bone" to get access to the hidden screw
