Q. Why isn’t ‘Off to the Vet’ available in full on RUclips?
A. ‘Off to the Vet’ film production and crowdfunding campaign was a huge undertaking for the Simon’s Cat Team. Our hope is to produce more long form, full colour content for our fans but without having to turn to them through crowdfunding again. The film was completed in 2015 and submitted it to a selection of international film festivals over the following months. During this time it was exclusively available to all funders that contributed via our private production blog. The feedback we have received from our funders has been overwhelming positive and we hope they are extremely proud of making the film a possibility. Q. What software do you use?
A. Simon's Cat is made using Adobe Flash / TV Paint animation software.
Q. Why does it take so long to make each Simon's Cat film?
A. Even though the films are made on computer software, they are still hand-animated in a traditional manner, frame to frame. It usually takes between 12 and 25 drawings to create 1 second of a Simon's Cat film.

I absolutely adore Simon's cat !! He captures all the annoying yet adorable and amusing quirks of cats so perfectly. I've had twelve cats during my lifetime who are sadly now all deceased and I miss them every single day. Watching Simon's cat though brings a smile to my face and often makes me laugh out loud ! 💕

My cats just drive me nuts with their food...one week they love a food and the next week they won't touch it. It's like a never ending guessing game.
I have the same problem. One cat, who was operated on for lymphoma a couple of years ago, can't eat kibble so I buy him expensive canned cat food. One day he'll eat savory salmon and the next day he sniffs at it and walks away until I give him something else. It's my fault for spoiling him but I love him so much, I give in to him. Another cat has to eat K/D , food for cats with kidney problems and he always want to eat what the first cat eats but he'd not allowed to. The third cat sometimes turns up her nose at the food and sometimes not but I am not worried about her as she is the healthy one.

Hello! I have two indoor cats. You have to think about it from the cats point of view. They are related to wild African cats. A cat is an obligate carnivore. Their internal anatomy is designed to eat meat and meat only. If you were stuck with kibble everyday forever (think of processed cereal and milk) that wouldn't be enjoyable to you, would it. Plus, the cat has a better sense of smell than you. Kibble is filled with additives and sometimes toxic chemicals. Read the ingredients, no major pet food brand will release the "recipe". Some have "natural flavors" but they can't tell you what that is. Food shouldn't last three years or more (check the expiration date) and when you open the kibble bag it oxidizes, which can go bad. My cats get canned food and raw meat only plus supplements. I rotate three proteins w/ no veggies or other fillers. Cats can't process carbs at all. Kibble is filled with veggie protein and very little meat. Kibble is known to cause diabetes and kidney disease. Plus a ton of recalls on kibble make it unsafe. Many vets push kibble because they get paid to by the big pet food companies. Many vets are clueless when it comes to nutrition. Please go to catinfo.org, feline-nutrition.org and catcentric.org. Also, high fish diets are contaminated with mercury and causes hyperthyroidism. Please educate yourselves and don't let your vets push kibble onto you. Thank you! :-)
+Ora Hall I have only rehabilitated feral cats and they get only high quality wet food with high grade kibble for treats and they still change their minds daily on what type (turkey, chicken, fish etc) they will eat. They were starving when I found them and now they are food snobs!

Update: My cat, Jericho, woke me up at 2:00am this morning by patting my face and chewing my fingers and she would not let me get back to sleep. Maybe she's more like Simon's Cat than I thought.

I got a kitten 2 years ago. he tore my curtains. my other cat lilith broke one of my favorite mugs. and then 8 months back i got another kitten. he tore the curtains and broke the rods when i had just replaced them. life with a cat is great. but YES. Yes, theyre a pain in the "grass". but at the end of the day, they're company and your friend. and they wake me up in the middle of the night to be let out and early morning to be fed. but i wouldnt trade the world for them. not a single one.

The race track video reminds me of a cat I had when I lived in St. Paul. I had a Lego train set up for Yule and Tasha would sit on the track, watch the train, and then always be startled when it came around and hit her in the butt! As a gift I received a Lego set that built two remote control Lego crabs that did not require a track. I chased her around the living room with them and she was never sure what to make of those things!

I have 3 cats Nuvola, Leon and Minou (she is the youngest in the group) and my grandma have 2 cats, Birba and Tilly, I love them, I can't live without my cats. (Even when they behave bad XD) Leon was abandoned the day of Christmas Eve in the garbage, my father saved him, it was a Christmas gift for us. He was really little. He was really small, he was with his brother but he died, I was so sad and even now I am sad for his death, they were really little, they didn't even know how to eat. After much effort, now Leon is fine and is a happy cat and in perfect health. ❤
