I have EASILY watched over 200 Bohemian Rhapsody reactions, live and official music video and YOU ARE THE 1ST to comment @8:17 on that ICONIC Brian May chord. ‼️💥🙌🏽 EXACTLY 💯 "Ohhh MY HEART" EVERY TIME brother! EVERY TIME. Legit, I have watched back to back to back videos and every time THAT one second gives the biggest of goosebumps. I can't get enough of yall experiencing Freddie & the boys for the 1st time. It's been my quarantine high for sure. Throughly enjoyed your reaction, you have a new sub in me. 😊
This particular song is much better on the official video because this is not only just part of the song, it doesn't have all the sounds. Original with headphones is what you need to hear. Thanks for reacting. Freddie was a genius and this band is made up of 4 of the best musicians. Each one is at the top of their field. Queen rocks, even 45 years later
Completely disagree with you. For this band to perform this well live is far more impressive than what they did in the studio. The song is amazing, studio or live, but hearing it performed live is always the test of a great band. Sure, they may have left a little out, and this might not be the best live version, but live versions are always the true test for a band I think.
This song never dies said Brian May, and we all agree...never get tired of seeing this...more queen please plus queen hidden gems like Cool cat, seaside rendevous, 39, liar, spread your wings, friends will be friends...
There's a reason Michael Jackson looked up to Freddie. Now "Somebody To Love" 1981 Montreal and he'll take you to church. Yes, you just heard the best front man of all time. The studio versions are equally impressive and you get to hear his range, but ALL of them are talented GOATS.
Freddie did indeed write this. A masterpiece. He was genius. And a legend. He passed away from AIDS in 91 and he's so missed. I do prefer this live but if you haven't heard the song before it's better to do the studio version/music video first to get the full experience. They always skipped the beginning of the song when they performed it live.
I so agree. I hope he watches the Green Day concert from 2017. 27 years after Freddie's passing. Not even there, they played Bohemian Rhapsody for the crowd and there was some 65 thousand people of all ages singing in perfect sinc. 27 years after he was gone and he did not even have to be on stage to completely own the crowd. It was AMAZING
Yes, your life just changed. Greatest live Rock N Roll band ever. They have a massive catalog, you will recognize so many of their songs and say - they did this? I was lucky enough to see them in 1976 and 1977, Freddie had long hair and black nail varnish in that era, very much in tune with the glam rock movement. I was madly in love with him. He was stunning then - singing, charisma, stage presence, piano playing and was right until the end. Tragic loss, but he continues to inspire. "I'm not going to be a rock star, I'm going to be a legend". Yes, Freddie you became that legend.
Queen was a British rock group founded in 1971 consisting of: Freddie Mercury - Lead singer and piano Brian May - Lead guitar and singer Roger Taylor - Drummer and singer John Deacon - Bass guitar They were all 4 extremely talented musicians who played together for 20 years until Freddie's untimely death at 1991. They all not only were excellent performers plus all 4 wrote music and Queen is the only group where every member had hit singles. They recorded 14 studio albums, had a multitude of hit singles, and play to huge stadiums all over the world to crowds as large as 250,000. On one of their tours, they only played at 9 different venues but they calculated that they had played to over 5.3 million fans. Yes, Freddie wrote Bohemian Rhapsody. He admitted that it was actually 3 separate songs that he was working on but couldn't quite finish. Then one day, he got the idea to smash them all together with transitions and bridges and thus a classic was born. The band trusted him even though they had no idea what this song was about. It was all up in Freddie's head. They just did what he asked them to sing and play. You need to hear the studio version and see the video of Bohemian Rhapsody. Normally, Queen is better live than in the studio versions but this song was recorded using innovations that weren't common for the time. It was recorded on tape and they had so many over-takes that the tape ended up clear. Also, the video was inventive. They were about to leave on tour when Bohemian Rhapsody dropped so they needed a special video to promote it since they weren't going to be available. It only took them about 4 hours to make and it is was so innovative for the time (1975) that it launch the music video craze and is credited with launching MTV.
Bohemian Rhapsody is not 3 separate songs, the composition of the song works perfectly together to form one cohesive unit. There are cord progressions that appears through the whole song. If the song was 3 separate songs then you would not get these reoccurring themes.
Back in the day when singers could really sing. I was in high school when this song came out, rocking my world then as it still does now. I love seeing the reactions of you young people when you hear the greatness you have been missing!!!!!!
Watch their entire Live Aid performance! Best 20 minutes of Queen, EVER! Freddy had the ENTIRE crowd of THOUSANDS in the palm of his hand. The call and response he did was incredible!! Freddie was once asked what instrument he played, his rather cheeky answer was 'The audience, darling.'
I am always so excited when I see new people venturing out on their music journey, especially when these songs are the ones, we grew up with & loved!!! Enjoy your journey man, you are in for a treat 😄 Freddie Mercury was one of the best front men in Rock History!!! I really enjoyed your reactions and comments, you made an old lady very happy today 😊
Love your reaction. Queen had so many good songs. We will rock you, we are the champions, just a couple. I'm sure you've heard them and never knew it was Queen!!
Queen & Freddie best EVER!! Yes, Freddie wrote this masterpiece!! All members of Queen are in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Writers Hall of Fame! Brian May (guitar, vocals) Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) John Deacon (bass guitar) and the legendary Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano). Brian named in 2020 best guitarist of all time by Guitar Magazine. React to “Somebody to Love” live from same concert. AMAZING!! Yes, you’re life has changed!
YOU, my friend...yes YOU have just earned yourself another subscriber!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE your reaction to QUEEN...but my friend you have just BARELY scratched the surface!!!! DIVE RIGHT ON INTO their whole discography!!! You will NOT be disappointed and we Queen fans won't let you drown!!! QUEEN FANS of the world give this man some song suggestions!!!! Stay safe and healthy my new friend
Welcome to the world of Queen. You, my dear are in for the wildest of rides. They will take you from rock & ballads to jazz & blues with side trips to prog rock, pastiche vaudeville and let's not forget the mighty anthems. Each song is an original, (Queen didn't do covers, apart from a rock n roll medley on stage), written by one or more band members each of whom were inducted in the songwriters hall of fame , each man has written at least 1 number 1 hit.
If no one has suggested it yet, watch Queen's performance at Live Aid. You will see a master at work. It is generally recognized as one of the greatest overall R&R performances of all time.
Awesome reaction! This is is likely the most complex popular or commercial songs you will find. It has 5 different sections, and it goes through the 5 stages of grieve. The song is full of chromatic themes, and key changes and modulations, the song has 49 different cords. Bohemian Rhapsody song has reached the charts in 3 different decades, in 1975, 1992 and more recently in 2018. It is one of the best selling songs of all time. It was written by Freddie Mercury almost like an opera, and no one really knows what it means.
Nice reaction! Some songs you’ve probably heard are We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, and Under Pressure. Other great songs to get into Queen are Somebody to Love Montreal 81, Keep yourself alive, hammer to fall, Dragon attack Montreal, radio Gaga, etc. Queen at the Live Aid ‘85 is one of the best live performances ever. Would definitely recommend!
Top three I would love for your to check out are Somebody to Love Montreal (some concert as bohemian), Dragon Attack (once again the version at Montreal), and Live Aid ‘85
Look up earlier versions of this song live. This was when his voice was starting to go as he got sicker and sicker as AIDS started to take him. Freddy had such an amazing voice...somebody to love, gonna have a good time, and hammer to fall are a few of my favorites.
I'm sittin in a room in a mood and I've heard Queen since 1977 - it's life changing stuff. I remember taking News of the world home to mom as a present from dad. They gave me the best music!
Was 15 in 75’ when this rocked my already blessed good fortune of growing up across the Detroit River on The Canadian side ...saw Queen in 78’ at Cobo Hall on there album after this one Day At The Races ... give all their music a good listen...early Queen rocked ..
Great reaction! As much as I enjoy Queen live, if you enjoy music production, the official video is a must watch. Audio and visual masterpiece. There are videos online about about the creation of it, breakdowns of the different sections, and even a video about the chord progressions (which I really enjoyed!) 45 years later, it remains a unique piece of art.
Your life will have changed, you’ve now entered the world of Queen, enjoy! The fact that the audience began to clap as soon as Freddie played those few notes, they are so recognisable, particularly in the UK, it’s part of British culture and everyone knows every word, checkout Green Day at Hyde park, it just about sums it up, the audience there to see one band but sings the entire song of another, Bohemian Rhapsody as the track was playing
I was blessed to see Queen live twice, first at Wembley Stadium (the old stadium) and then three weeks later at Knebworth. Each one absolutely mind-blowing. I have loved them since I was 12-13 years old. They still blow my mind and I'm nearly 60 now. I have to agree with some of the other posts on here that while this performance is magnificent, to get the true feel of this song it's the original that hopefully by now you will have listened to. Also on the album A NIght at the Opera are the track's The Prophet's Song and Love of My Life; both astounding! Enjoy :)
I'm convinced Freddie Mercury was an alien... I don't think there's ever been another performer like him. I think as time goes on his legend will just grow and grow.
LOL! Yes your life did just change ! I was lucky enough & am old enough to have seen Queen every time they came to Australia. Yes ! You have to "rewind" & play back the headbanging bit several times. Great vid again. all the best mate.
You should watch just to get an idea of the legend Freddie is, the Green day 2017 concert, they open with Bohemian Rhapsody being played for the crowd 27 years after he passed and some 60 thousand people of all ages are singing it in perfect sinc . It was an amazing experience.
The Beatles' crowds screamed before, during, and after they left the stage. So much they couldn't hear themselves play. So in 1966, they quit the road and spent their time in the studio.
Bohemian Rhapsody is also famous for the fact that it was also the first ever promo pop video produced because the band were too busy to appear on the BBC's flagship music show "Top of the Pops".
there will nothing like this song or queen ever again. this song mashes 3-4 different genres seemlessly and perfectly to creat one of if not the greatest song song of all time. theres a reason this song and band and freddie are considered legends
Decades after Freddie's death he still has control over an audience at someone else's concert "Crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody at Green Day concert" check it out. Every generation adores this man and there is the next generation that hasn't been born yet that will do the same. R.I.P. Freddie
Love the comment “I think this dude wrote this”. I’m sure his reaction is genuine because you can’t like music and not be blown away by this song and the performance. Legendary.
Watch the full live performance from Live Aid, After Queen was done, I believe it was Elton John, who was due to play later that night, asked someone” How do you follow something like that”
You have only just begun your journey in the world of QUEEN! There are many many more songs to explore and digest. As stated you have probably heard many of them not realizing who the artist is. Enjoy!
Don’t worry, I’ve enjoyed hearing Queen since the 70s and only just heard the astonishing “Love of My Life” for the first time in the recent Freddie movie!! Don’t know how that happened lol but it’s never too late when you get there in the end - enjoying your channel, hi from Australia 👋👍👍
Freddie was 27 when he wrote this song it's 3 songs in one check out somebody to love live in Montreal 1981 or we will rock you and we are the champions

Ditto Katie Young. I was 17 when this song came out. Great to see youth listening to real music and appreciating what they see and hear.
This song has some of the most brilliant moments in rock history and that one is one of them for sure!
Why do we like reaction videos?
Bohemian Rhapsody is not a song.. it's an EXPERIENCE. Great reaction. Welcome to the endless rabbit hole of Queen..
“It’s like being at the opera”. You hit the nail on the head, the album is called ‘A Night At The Opera’ 😁

You will be equally impressed with Queen- Somebody to Love, Live at Montreal..

So glad you did the live version. Freddie Mercury's voice was astounding and yes, you're life just changed.

Dude, this is the most iconic song of the 20th century sung by the best vocalist, entertainer, and songwriter to ever take the stage.
Also check out the studio version of this song. It's amazing. The guy at the front was crowd control to stop people coming onto the stage.
