"TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL" That $h!t is real.
How relevant is that today oh my
@@julies5515 PF will always be relevant
The whole LP is a must to listen to from the beginning to the end. One of the greatest concept records of all time.
Absolutely. I have been a fan since the 4 album vinyl came out and I listened on my turntable, speakers set one on each side of my head. Let the music and story carry you where it may,
The Wall is technically a rock opera it tells a story, a concept album has songs that all fare connected by a similar theme or concept like The Dark Side of the Moon
4 sure... i practically grew up, with a Pink floyd sound track. Maby that is why im really picky about music.
True. Very dark in the middle and borderline psychotic towards the end but none the less it's a masterpiece
@@boriskarloff4250 same , it was an amazing experience.
You get goosebumps the first time you hear this song, and you'll still be getting goosebumps when you hear it for the thousandth's time. Because Pink Floyd.
I first heard this song when it came out in 1978. I just listened to this reaction video and when the guitar solo began I had chills up my spine for a good 30 seconds.
I still do every time!!!
Goosebumps went up my back even listening to this on the video even after growing up to all the old music and hearing this a thousand times
This song speaks to your soul. It speaks to the utter loneliness of the human condition. It speaks to the fact that no matter how many people you surround yourself with your body and soul die alone without the comforting touch of the love and feeling you crave. Pink floyd speaks to the truth of the human soul.
For me, at this point in my adventurous, unpredictable life; what you said is exactly how I feel lately. Crazy. Thanks for that perspective.
This one of the greatest comments I have ever seen on youtube. Thank you. This brought a tear to my eye and then a smile to my face
Beautifully worded The song’s lyrics speak of the human desperation of yearning for connection to fill that empty hole in us
This whole album and movie are about ww2 and the holocaust. The claw marks on the walls represent the claw marks on death chambers. listen to it and watch the movie/video with that context in mind.
My son is 8yrs old, and I had this song playing, and out of nowhere he says, "wow I feel so emotional" as he wipes his tear, so I asked him what's wrong? He says to me, "it's that guitar solo" so now I have my 12yr old daughter and my son hooked to Pink Floyd
Your job is done as a parent🤟😜👍
I've been listening to Pink Floyd for over 50 years and it never gets old still get tingles. Don't edit the language it's real from the heart. Welcome to the Brotherhood of the Pyramid of Light that is Pink Floyd.
Same here. I was always transported to another dimension listening to them! Being a teenager in the 70's was awesome with such great music that still has the same affect on me today!
It’s crazy to think Pink Floyd has been here for more than 50 years and still sounds ahead of their time, amazing.
I get goosebumps all up my spine and body as well. My parents raised me with this music and it’s still so amazing
Same for me too 50+ years still my overall favorite musicians.
Still gives me chills & tears. It's so indescribable. Seeing them live was a spiritual experience.
As a pink Floyd fan, of over forty years, I can tell you .... they’re still ahead of their time. 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Couldn't have said it better myself. Put ANYTHING made today against the top 75% of their stuff, and today's musicians walk away with their heads down. I should say, the musicians we are fed today walk away with their heads down.
100 per cent ahead 👍🏻
Not just ahead of their time. They’re truly timeless classics
It was 1979/1980. My boyfriend and I bought the Album which had just been released. We put the album on and laid on the floor of the living room and listened to the entire album. Mind blown. I think we all love watching these reaction videos because we know what you are about to experience, and it transports us back in time, to when we first heard the song. "Hey you" is as fresh today (and as relevent) as it was back then.
This. ⬆️
By God, you URGENTLY need to see the movie THE WALL ... so you will understand much more the meaning and why of the beautiful songs of Pink Floyd, greetings from Córdoba Argentina !!!
Yes yes yes!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. You should...
argentina papaaaa
Agree! I wore the grooves off of the album and had this vision in my head of what the songs were about...then I saw the movie and holy shit, opened up a whole new perspective. My all time favorite!
The movie was one of the most profound artistic experiences of my life.
So incredibly well done
“What have i been doing my whole life” made legit LOL!
"Together we stand divided we fall" These words hold true today.
The lyrics to this song is sooo significant today.
"I have no words to describe what I'm going through listening to this"
Welcome to Pink Floyd :)
"Hold on I can say this because there will be kids here..."
Next minute: PINK FUCKING FLOYD MAAAN!
hahaha love it
Exactly!
"I gotta edit these curse words off"
Roger: The Brain
David: The Talent
Rick: The Soul
Nick: The Power
Not 100% accurate, but as a summary, well done.
Syd : The Spirit ☝️
Syd the inspiration
Roger is the mastermind behind the scenes, Dave implements Roger's work perfectly, Rick and Nick is the boat carrying everything
david is the heart
Most people who grew up in that time realized they would never hear music like this again.
They weren't wrong
One does not simply, pause a Pink Floyd song.
or album
One does if one wishes to avoid the video being taken down for copyright infringement
Underrated comment
@@karlgw he's gotta take it in.
ikrrr i was vibing 😭
Your reactions to Pink Floyd have been making me cry. That's exactly how I feel about them every time I hear them. 💕
I totally agree!!! I kinda wish I never heard them lol lol that's how much I love them. By far my favorite band of all time
I can't say by far my favorite. Other bands have slightly different style so it's hard for me .like I LOVE LOVE Ozzy, Rush .the Eagles such a talented band.. iron maiden for heavy and there lyrics is like teaching history. But floyd is #1 for talent
Same here
Welcome to a whole new generation of music, you experience, you don’t just listen. ❤️
listen on RUclips at BLACK METAL TEENS REACT TO PINK FLOYD THANKS
Q: What's your favorite PF song?
A: The last one that I just heard.
Hi there bud! Welcome to the Floyd family. Good luck finding a favorite Pink Floyd song. A difficult but pleasant journey awaits you.
Wish you were here and mother...
Wish you were here and welcome to the machine for sure
All of them…
There is a correct answer and it is Echoes (Live at Pompeii)
I’m 65 yrs old, listening to PINK FLOYD since I was 12, and still play PF every day, I just can’t get enough. Definitely the best ever band.
I truly feel the love this gentleman is providing. Just like how millions have felt for 45yrs. Too many songs to choose. I appreciate your heart & soul.
I love how our young generation are appreciating or even giving the time to listen to classic and different genres of music. I really appreciate this
The whole Album tells a story it’s one of the greatest ever written in my opinion
And the greatest live show I have ever seen
Not just your opinion friend...
👍😃
Dark Side of the Moon #1
Listening and watching your reactions makes me hear and feel these old friends as if for the first time again. I have tears streaming down my face but the biggest grin at the same time ❤
what an awesome comment, Rozco!
What a perfect reply. I got chills watching him experience Hey You.
I'm really enjoying all your Floyd reactions. It's great to see a newcomer instantly get the Floyd vibe.
I have a few listening notes that may help you get even more from their music: Pink Floyd did a lot of what are known as 'concept albums'. These are albums with a common theme to the tracks, or an idea woven into the music that the band wish us the listener to discover. As a result of this, many Floyd tracks merge seamlessly into each other. You may notice this when you an odd start or end to a song when listening to individual tracks. For this reason It's preferable to set a little time aside, as soon as you can, and listen to the whole album.
Pink Floyd's roots go back to 1965 with the line-up of Syd Barrett (Vocals, Guitar), Roger Waters (Bass), Nick Mason (Drums) and Rick Wright (Keyboard). In 1967 an old friend David Gilmour (Guitar) was bought into the band to take up some of the load of Syd Barrett. By this time Syd's behaviour had become eratic due to mental health issues. Shortly after this, Syd was dropped from the band but was never forgotten. Floyd paid homage to their friend Syd in the brilliant 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' and his influence remained long after he'd left the band.
You read my mind. Good comment. It's great to see someone discover Pink Floyd. I truly think that if someone doesn't love Floyd then they ain't REALLY listening to it.
Well said. Actually, I'm just waiting to see his reaction to more hard core stuff. While Hey You is quite PinkFloyd-ish, it's also a bit more mainstream than other stuff. Also, the whole album hit 10x stronger in the context of the movie, at least for me.
Anyway, the point being if he finds this dope, his brain is going to explode while listening to part 1 & 2 of Echoes Live in Pompei. Or The Great Gig in the Sky.
To me, PFF is unique in that some of their albums are masterpieces, not just contain masterpieces. During the years, what's my fav song from those albums shifts, to the point that I rotate almost all of them. Hey You has been one of my fav, but I could cite all of them from The Wall, including the two found in the movie only (Empty Spaces and When the Tigers Broke Free). It's amazing how after listening to an album for years, you still discover some gems that slipped initially.
when the tigers broke free is my fave well, they are all top notch
i went to see the wall at the picture and i left in awwe of it,and i think judith charmers still listens to dogs lol
Dr. Morbius, thank you for adding this.
The time ones make me cry. It is like getting to experience it again for first time.
I am 45 and lucky enough to have lived in a time (early 90s) where you could go to a Pink Floyd Darkside of the Moon laser show.
Living inside the album is what it was like...I hope those shows come back.
Hey you isn't a song you hear or listen to......hey you is a song you feel in your soul
I am a 50 year old guy that was introduced to Floyd in my early teens. They were so far ahead of their time. I was hooked instantly. Their music is an experience. Watching you discover this and really feel it is amazing. I got the most out of it by lying down in a completely dark room with a set of headphones, and like many others have suggested, listening to an entire album...Wish You Were Here and Meddle are my favorites. Keep digging...you have just scratched the surface. I found myself smiling when I knew what was around the next corner, waiting for your reaction. Great video!
Dude you need to go back to Echoes live at Pompeii 1972 where the guys play in an empty Roman Amphitheater with no audience.
You will get to see who is who and the kit used.
@@dmont Sound sound recording is as good as studio quality. The track Echoes describes how the very earliest forms of life in the deep oceans leading to humans exchanging a glance. So it takes a few minutes, but the sound effects used match the random occurances slowly forming into structure.
At the end the instrumental really funks out! Talk about ahead of their time!
So glad you recommended this one - it is mind blowing! Hope you’ll enjoy it! Ps the directors cut version of that video is soooo visually gorgeous if you choose that one, lots of visual cuts from Pompeii & back to the band in Abbey Rd studios.
@@dmont ...and they revisited Pompeii to perform for an audience.
@@thisguy8916 Gilmour did with his solo band. I don't believe any other members were there.
@@MattKrogmeier I know, just had slackers like that Chuck Leavell from the Allman Brothers & some other scrubs!
I think gilmour and Rodger harmonizing is highly underrated.
My very first vinyl was The Wall. My daughter is 32 and she grew up with me playing Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Door and many more wonderful singers and bands. I will be 60 this year and still love to listen to Pink Floyd. 👍💙💙
"What have I been doing my whole life?" Hahaha 😆😅🤣
Roger Waters' voice at the end is so full of angst I love it❤
"Together we stand, divided we fall."
This music doesn’t go away it just ages like a fine wine!
Got there album when it first came out decades ago I still can't get enough of it and IAM 65 years old...
Yo hammer head; watch the movie!🤸♀️
A Rock Opera.. masterpiece of all time.
"Pink fucking Floyd man!"
I concur.
Right on. Hear Animals all the way through
Pink floyd is the best band in history of music
It’s so cool to see you vibe on this bro. The entire album is a journey
Greatest band I've ever heard by far! Practically every song they ever made is a Classic. I highly recommend "us and them" "welcome to the machine" and "great gig in the sky" those are my favorites, but honestly you can never go wrong with pink floyd every song is great! Anyway thanks for the reaction 🙏🏻
one of the greatest bands of the 70's
I'm 52 and been listening to pink Floyd since I was 12 and it still makes my eyes water....
Shout out to Phil Shorten, watch the Pompeii 'Echoes' i've listened and watched almost every day for the last 48 years and i never tire of it.
There's just no band like them.
Went to a Pink Floyd concert in the early 70’s..have loved them ever since. ❤️
Extremely refined musical genius. Every component of their artistry is on the highest level. Thank you Pink Floyd!!!!
Pink Floyd has been going through generation after generation and still going strong since they came out in the late 60s . This type of music will never die or be forgotten
“They came out”? I didn’t o i.e. they were gay! 😆😂🤣
D Mont- The Genius------ I knew as soon as I heard you say, "Pink F***&** ""Floyd" that this would be my first subscription. Back in the 70's when
they were popular, there were soooo many bands to choose from. It was near impossible to hear them all so as to to know which to follow. This group was, and still is
the TOPS in my likes.
Every time you listen to it is great.
It never gets old. ✌👊🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dude..it's like another level. You have the same reaction as everyone who hears Floyd for the 1st time. It changes your soul & it changes your brain.🎸
So much fun to see somebody hearing this for the first time. Takes me back to that Sunday afternoon in December 1979. My 16-year old self visiting an uncle who, by that time, had already introduced me to the likes of Santana (specifically the album 'Moonflower') and Vangelis ('Heaven and Hell' and 'Spiral'). I can still hear him say: "Take that chair and put the headphones on. This you gotta hear". He then played me all four sides of "The Wall" and I was stunned in every way possible. Didn't really get all the lyrics at that time yet, but that didn't matter.
My uncle passed away a few years ago. My love for music and especially Pink Floyd is still very much alive.
Sounds like a top uncle 🙏
Everybody needs an uncle like yours
Me too. It was 1979 when I first heard them.... Comfortably Numb. Hooked since then. 🌞🇨🇦
That's a Awesome Uncle!
we had a friend of my parents visit from poland a canadian embassy worker we were canadian military family and he introduces me and my older bro to RUSH wow what a memory
I was 17 and a guy at work loaned me 'The Wall' on cassette... That was me hooked. Got yourself another subscriber as I'm looking forward to more Pink Floyd reactions 😊👍
😂🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🤣😂🤣🙌🏻💕💕💕💕 your reaction is priceless!!!!! 🙌🏻💕💕💕
You look like a child seeing the ocean for the first time. Great Feelings, Brother.
"what have I been doing my whole life?" Best response ever.
In addition to listening to the entire album... The film, The Wall, that they made in the 70’s... You owe it to your life. It’s absolutely insane.
Hit the movie theaters in 1981 along the same time with heavy metal I was 13 and I wanted to see both
Pink Floyd in headphones .. seem to come at you from every direction... incredible composition of the "Pink Floyd" sound .. bet your wishing you could travle back in time.. to experience them Live... They put on some of the greatest shows
Yes. ...no words to describe......that's pink floyd.
Check out "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" parts I-V. avoid the video. studio version. prepare to be transported to another place.
I agree! Please listen to the non-video versions of PF songs first before seeing the videos. The 'official' video of Shine on You Crazy Diamond isn't official at all and takes away from the music in my opinion. And heck, why not do all 9 parts of Shine on You Crazy Diamond while you're at it :p.
@@jayofelony86 because in my mind they're two separate songs each one with the beginning and an end. Let him check l-V first.
1000 upvotes
Every time they released an album since Dark Side, the music world was thrown for a loop. 4, count them, 4 certifiable masterpieces in a row. No other band has come close. Hell most bands never produce a masterpiece, never mind 4 of them.
Together we stand , devided we fall...we have most certainly fallen.
So happy pink floyd is still so popular one of the most amazing of all time, real poets.
I was 18 when my then boyfriend introduced me to pf, I liked it but didn't appreciate it. I'm now 49 an loving them. The words are so poignant.
Yea this is an album that has to be listened to all in one sitting, The Wall is one big song, classic.
I love seeing this guy react to how good their music is!
Listen to each album in it’s entirety. That is how they intended.
Their evolution from the days of Syd Barrett up to The Wall is truly a musical journey of sonic excellence.
I was in music for many years. The thing most don't remember is they did not have all the fancy computer systems like today. They made that with bare bones and talent
And all before computer recording and samples. This was all Tape
Thanks for ypu Floyd reactions. I imagine by now you have discovered more. You are among many that are amazed by their music. And yes it us annoying when any of their songs end. Thanks man for keeping it real
Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands because of the way they make me feel when I listen to their music!
''I'll edit these curse words out'' hahhahaha this dude
Its too hard to put “the wall” above “Dark side of the moon” or dark side above the wall, they both sit in number one, but you can’t go wrong with any Pink Floyd
'Meddle' album #1, my vote.
Animals
Wish you were here is better
I been a floyd fan 40 years. The wall is a amazing piece of art but other albums are way better. One of my favorites is the final cut .
the dark side of the moon is the #1 record on billboard. it is the greatest
There ain't no words to describe 'Floyd' - You just lay back, listen and get blown away, lol
You need to listen to the entire repertoire. In my only mind, the way I think, the greatest band ever
I owned that cassette and had it stolen from me at parties 8 times in the '80s.
Then CDs 3 times in the '90s. People loved to steal albums at parties back in the day.
I've got a huge grin on my face! You look like you've been kicked in the chest every time there's a drum fill or the guitar comes in. They are that good.... It takes your breath away. Great reaction!
monique looking on RUclips at BLACK METAL TEENS REACT TO PINK FLOYD THANKS
Oh man, I love your reaction! So glad you love Floyd
So cold yet so beautiful
Hey, React to Us And Them by Pink Floyd, it's one of their best one.
One of my absolute faves. Vocals are simply off the chain
Yea!
he should also react on Another brick in the wall part 1,2,3
true masterpiece
It’s has to be coupled with “Any coulor you like”. Fucking amazing duo of songs!!!
once you hear pink floyd it becomes a part of you. it is with you forever
So true.
Pink floyd will unveil places inside your soul you never knew existed! They will make you feel stuff you could not imagine existed inside or outside yourself!
I’m 66 I still love it this music is so clever it doesn’t age
That bass line you were reacting to in the beginning is actually David Gilmore (the guitar player) on a fretless bass. He also played a fretless bass on Pigs from the Animals album.
You have to listen to Live at Pompei from around 1970' Part 1.
I laughed for 5 minutes watching him freak out. Begging that song not to be over. Good times.
Absolutely my bro. Timeless. Then, now, and for ever.
One of my biggest blessings was seeing Floyd live, it’s Biblical😊
My man, "The great gig in the sky". Just lay back, and let it soak in.
Great gig in the sky! Be sure to download the lyrics in the beginning. It can be hard to understand the first time you hear it
One of my favorite songs by them. Tells such a story . Thankyou Tori.
It was pure fun for me to see somebody else enjoy Pink Floyd as much as I do. Thanks.
i was 15 years old when i heard them first time and i see them at a concert in Denmark when i was 17 im now 52 years old its still my favorite Pink Floyd album
Everyone said they were timeless back when they came out. No lie. Everyone.
The bass guitar has always been what makes this song what it is. Waters was so powerful.
Gilmour actaully plays it on this track
It's cool to watch people bring introduced to this great band. I started listing as a pre-teen in 1971
He is one of Us now .... You can't go back my friend!
Listen " The Wall " ...full album .
It's a good life experience
The Wall is a concept album, you have to hear it from begining to end! it is mandatory to spark a fat J prior to listening, and Floyd will speak to your mind, im sure there are alot of people that agree with me on that! lol.David Gilmore, one of the greatest guitarist in history, and his voice, what more is there to say! My suggestion is Dark Side Of The 🌙
You don’t need dope to enjoy The Floyd. You don’t need it for anything.
I love how u really FEEL the Music
Together we stand divided we fall...
