Loved this show cuz. The acting was great and the set and clothes were amazing! I really loved the adaptation. The chemistry between Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid was just off the charts. I can’t wait for season 2

I am not a vampire person but this show was IT!!I loved the show and started rewatching cause I missed things you mentioned. I am so glad it is free for Sling users. I hope its free next season cause I can't pay for another subscription service. I am so confused about Armand and how they Louis said he has always been his soulmate. Wait, WHAT??? Yes, Where is Claudia???? Me thinks Armand took her out, like he did in the movie. OR, that vampire she met at school came back for her.
But did you see how the song just popped in my head and flew out of my mouth. It was out of my control! 😂 Armand confused the hell out of me. Because if he's ancient, and revered, why is he pretending to be a servant? I need for the to rewrite Claudia's storyline because she too good of a character to kill off. Claudia was about that action!
Enjoyed this series. Cannot wait for Season 2. I think Louis is in another messed up relationship with Armand. Armand is older than Lestat. Every time Louis drinks his blood. The more control Armand has on him
About 30 seconds into your video, I gasped. Thanks to the talented Jacob Anderson, I recognized your accent as New Orleans right away. Just as impressive was Sam Reid learning French so he wouldn't have just the accent, but the language too. Loved your season recap and hope you do every episode next season. You're a whole lotta fun!

I enjoyed this review. I am just now seeing the show in late 2023. The show is impressive and I'm looking forward to season 2! I was glad to hear this review point out the irony that it was Luis' family that enslaved people. Jacob Anderson really nailed both time periods...I was laughing because some of the way he spoke sounded like my Grandfather who was born in the 30s. Sam Reid is phenomenal...to come across as a romantic figure and a sociopath. Paul killed me with she will never be your scientific mother. Just a great watch with an unpredicted ending.
Love this recap!! Especially since you’re from New Orleans, it adds such fun “inside info”. You should try to be an extra for the next season! Re: Chemistry Tests- you pretty much make eyes at your partner and flirt and make sure they/the camera believe you’re into each other. Once I was having MOMENTS with my partner and I look over at the director and he was on his phone the whole time.

I watched and now I’m making my bf watch. He wasn’t feeling it but Claudia changed his mind. He can’t wait to watch the last 2 episodes. I just came across your review and it has made my morning. It would break my heart to see Claudia be sentenced to death by sun like in the book but I’d they do that would Armand really be the love of Louis life being the one who sentenced her? Something to ponder
I read the first 3 books and was totally dismissive of the show and the it came out and rocked me to my core. The complexities of it all! I think what I'm loving the most about the newcomers that know nothing of the story is how much most people are hating on my boy Lestat. Because that's exactly what happened to most of us with the first book! The most important thing to remember is that Louis is an unreliable narrator, he has a purpose to be doing this interview AGAIN.

AMC made an interim deal with sag and wga only for iwtv and the walking dead spin off's, so now the shows in the deal can continue production and filming. I absolutely adore your commentary. You make me laugh and laugh... and I didn't even watch this show. Had no interest in it. But this commentary. Sign me up. Edit: I read these books like 20 years ago and it seems like the producers and writers took a million liberties with the material. Like they mixed Rice's vampire series with her erotica novels. From what I can remember the vampires couldn't have sex. Lestat had to return to human form (I don't remember how that worked in the books) to enjoy food and sex again.

I absolutely L O V E D this series. I think it surpassed the movie, given that it had the time to flesh the story out. The only thing I preferred more, was Kirsten Dunst as Claudia. Let it be known, she I S, and will A L W A Y S be, T H E Claudia!
Kirsten was so good! She was able to play an adult character at such a young age. Loved Bailey’s Claudia because she’s forever a teenager and watching Louis and Lestat raise a teen with all those hormones is interesting to watch.

She would have already poisoned and cremated Lestat, gotten Louis into therapy, started her own charity for battered/abused vampire spouses everywhere…..A L L by episode 4! You have to remember, OG Claudia rolled up on Lestat with scissors, sliced him on both cheeks and dared him to say something about it. #ColdBlooded
