My Uncle and Godfather Joseph P. Bouchard was a Carpenter's Mate 2nd Class and served on U.S.S. New Hanover AKA - 73 , an Attack Cargo Ship that served with the Pacific Fleet in W.W. # 2. He also served on a converted Yacht as a submarine chaser in the Carribean in 1942-1944 that being U.S.S. Sturdy. After the war he became a full time Carpenter and did some amazing woodworking.
