    Neat job and it looks fabulous. Can't wait to see it in the ground working come sprirng.
    As you mentioned about discarding "metal" I save the pieces too. You're repurposing the left over parts of the dolly build. Now I just wish I had the land for a garden as this project would be on my list.
    Webpage is looking good too. Happy New Year and good tractoring...................

    We C-clamp a piece of angle iron onto the flap of our tiller. Then clamp the kickstand of the earthway to the angle iron. miles and miles of rows.

      It does require two people. One walking behind to make sure all is turning and seeding well.

      This one works pretty good. I feel confident to just let it plant. I really enjoy that part.

    I would add hiller plates to do the covering, for the soil in East TN anyway. The chain may work fine in your sandy stuff out there you call dirt...LoL

    Now that it is known it works best tilted, that tilt could be fabbed into the parts that hold the seed basket. Then the rest of the planter could run 90 degrees to the earth.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад +1

      It could, but I am not doing it 😁. It has been working fine for four years of planting.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure I just ordered a Chapin seeder. Going to make somthing like this but for my utv w a winch used for lift and setting. Says has a steel frame as opposed to AL. I’ll have to see how rigid, before I weld something beefier. Great video tho !!

    That's really cool Tony! As a child me and my siblings were the "auto planters" LOL... are you concerned about the width of your rows at all because of the width of the tractor?

    I know exactly what you mean about the rocks, and also it was a little steep where you lived.

    I couldn’t find a link saying where you got the spring and how much tension the spring has. I already have a Earthway planter to use to make one, I have a 318 John Deere with a hydraulic 3-point lift that I’m going to use to pull the planter.
    Do you have any measurements of the planter build that might help me building mine. Thanks

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад

      I bought the spring at Tractor Supply. I would build the planter fist and then build the spring hinge to fit your tractor.
