    i found that the back and forth swinging one works even better when there is a second phone (or a counter weight) on the other side, otherwise mine just stops swingen sometimes, ever so often, dont know why sadly, they should make one with a better input plug cause the cable also just not that good of a fit sometimes

    You need to take off the case. The one that goes left to right is the best one for me. I always had issues with the other type.

      So how does it work? Do I have to turn off Pokémon go device and let adventure sync do work? Or can I just have Pokemon go on and put in device?

      I've never had the side to side one, but definitely.....take off that case. Solved my issue with inconsistency.

  • @nixequestrian3721
    @nixequestrian3721 Год назад +8

    I have the opposite issue with my phones- Oppo & Samsung (Oppo is a lite phone the Samsung is heavy). The side to sider rocker is consistent & it doesn't matter if PoGo is open or closed- it counts steps reliably & hatches 6- 12 eggs per day using the free incubator & makes earning buddy candy for the 20Km pokemon do-able.
    As for the front-to-back rocker, it counts less than a quarter steps in over 4 times the amount of time of the side to side & I'm lucky to get 3 eggs hatched per day. I've given up trying to earn candy for any 20Km mon using it, as it just isn't reliable at all ie. Current buddy is 3Km but the candy gain is painfully low despite hours of use daily.
    The downside to the left/right rocker is they do stop working (they become inconsistent at continued rocking). I've found it to be an issue with the cord in my first one after about 3 months of heavy use. I got a second one & used the new cord for the first rocker & it started working properly again for about 6 weeks before stopping again. The second was a dud & only lasted 3 weeks max despite changing cords. The third lasted 10 weeks & now has stopped working properly regardless if a new cord is used, so IME they're only good for about 3mths if used heavily.
    I'm waiting on new 2 side-to-side rockers to arrive atm.

      Did you find a better alternative?

    • @nixequestrian3721
      @nixequestrian3721 6 месяцев назад

      @@verxw74 No, I have tried a few different types now tho & the ones that last longest & count most reliably for me do seem to be the side to side rockers.
      I did find phone weight has a big impact how long the rockers last- the heavier the phone, the quicker the rockers stop working, so the Samsungs have any covers removed before going in the rocker.
      They work well enough that I can passively earn candy for my 20k buddies & hatch some eggs with the free incubator daily.

      @@nixequestrian3721 Thanks for actually responding. Which swing rocker would you recommend, does it really matter or are they all basically the same? And lasty for the weight; how heavy was your phone for it to stop functioning at times? Thanks again for spending the time to read this 🙏

      @@verxw74 You are welcome. I get mine from AliExpress or Temu ('phone swing' or 'phone shaker' with 'pokemon go' are the keywords I use) & purchase 2 or 3 at a time (to cover me if one is a dud). The ones I get look like the rocker with the white arms in this yt video, but often the arms are a different colour- black, blue or red. Current version of this type of rocker has been in daily use for over 5months now.
      I've tried the sleeker versions of the side to side rockers, but the heavy phone killed them pretty quickly (less than 6weeks use).
      Google says the heavy phone is 202grams, the lightest phone is 160grams.

      @@verxw74 You are welcome. I use the rockers that look like the one with the white arms in this yt video, but they are not branded as I get them from AliEpress or Temu etc. I did try the a few of the sleeker looking swings, but the weight of my Samsung killed them too quickly.
      I purchase 2 or 3 of the coloured arm rockers/swings at a time to cover any dud ones I might get, of the 3 I got Nov last year, one was a dud & only lasted 3 weeks, one is still in reserve waiting to be used & one has been used daily for the last 6mths & is still going strong.
      I'm not 100% sure on the total weight with a case, but google says the phone itself weighs 202 grams & the rocker is working fine. The oppo which the swings work even better for is 173 grams.

      Just make sure, auto sync is on in game and that the game is fully closed on the phone when you put it in the swing, you shouldnt have any issues really with a s22 as its a normal size phone my issue was my phones big and probly ro heavy for the side to side swing

    Interesting comparison. I got the "FUNTECK" Phone Rocker because i liked the metal cage with the desk-toy style ball weights, it works great, but i did put a bit of heat-shrink tubing on the (god knows why) knurled rods it uses as pivots because the knurling would make it noisy when it got going. It's a front-to-rear style rocker, and it gets me way more than .5k in half an hour, i come back in that long and all my eggs are hatching. Maybe it's your phone gyro sensitivity? (assuming you are using adventure-sync of course..)

      I regularly get the 'you are going to fast' pop up using my side to side swing, so it might be the weight of your phone that is slowing the rocker down. If you haven't already, try removing any case or cover on your phone to see if that helps the speed of the rocker :)
