    Just ordered my 2040 today. I bought a new leftover for $3k less than a 2035 and added BH, Loader and Grappler with 3rd point. I drove a 4045 with a turbo and holy crap I wish I needed that much toy.

    I have a correction to add. The PTO guard does indeed flip up! Mine was a bit tight but is ok now. My apologies to Bobcat.

    What I really like is, you can pretty much operate these tractors all day on 5 gallon or less of fuel. Todays prices of diesel, that means a lot. For my own needs 40 HP is more than adequate for power. I know if your into big time farming, using a haybine, or a big crop producer you'd probably need more HP. You did a good review were honest to point out the dislikes. I'm a lot like you, I prefer basic equipment, I don't need all the bells and whistles but, I do like a cab on a tractor.

    I sold my JD855/24hp and got a CT2035, love it! She's at 60 hours now being used for land clearing with 80% being flail mower or grapple, no problems yet :)

    Love mine. Agree, the front bucket is lightweight, but I think it is more about lift capacity.

    bobcat did a 5 year contract with a Korean company to build these tractors, same company the builds the Kioti tractor.

      👍 Stout little tractor and very maneuverable. Their dealer network support is also strong which is a big deal nowadays with all the supply chain issues

    Highly recommend the cab it will freeze or cook you right off of the tractor.

    Thanks for the video! I was thinking about buying a Bobcat but I'm thinking I might get a Branson tractors instead. Looks like you get more for your money with them. All of those cheaper things Bobcat added to their tractors that you pointed out are concerning!

      Whichever brand you go with, make sure you have a good local dealer. Bobcat is very strong in my area. I probably should have gone with the 4045. They have a lot more features. Also get the extended warranty that covers electronics.

      Branson is a good brand if you have a good dealer near you.

    I have the ct2025, the pyrite brother of yours. There is an extendable link add-on for around $400 available from the dealer. I ordered it with my tractor in May and am still waiting for it though... in Oct. I believe it comes with the better control arms also. I also got a top n tilt kit from Michigan Iron. The one for the kioti ck10 fits as it's about the same tractor. You can just get a hydrolic top link from a few places for not to much to upgrade the crappy oem.

      I believe you're right on the money. With everything going on in the world right now, believe they are having trouble getting parts and thus had no choice to go with the cheap Chinese alternatives

    You can get almost any size bucket. I plan on getting an 8’ bucket for wood chips.

      Yes. I'm looking at getting two additional buckets. A bigger utility and also a rock bucket. Have a fair amount of rock in several pastures.

    I have the exact same tractor. I has been good so far. The pto guard is on a hinge but it is very stiff. Mine flips up to allow me to get onto the 540. How many regens has your tractor done in the 100 hours? Thanks

    • @sprancho669
      @sprancho669  3 года назад

      2 regents thus far. Thank you for the Pto guard tip. I'll double check it to see if it will flip up.

      @@sprancho669 I know right where that’s out. I worked at A&M for a few years about 20 years ago. In all honesty how do like the Bobcat? Im on the verge of buying a new tractor and it’s down to Bobcat, Branson, and Kioti. All in the 35-45 Hp range. How was Brazos Vally to deal with? I looked at Bobcat last Dec in Houston, only issue was their delivery fee to Buffalo.
      Well have a great week and hoping for some rain this week.

      @@davemiller3027 I think you'll be fine. Bobcat Tractors CT are basically a rebadged Kioti. The Wixon Valley branch is a particularly good branch and is open on Saturday morning (Waco is closed). Depending on how big you need, you might to go up to the 4000 series. Better features on back end and fuel tank in better location. price and Bobcat support network/ dealerships is what sold me. Special note. When the ECM failed on my New Holland, replacement cost alone was $2600. First thing I checked on the Bobcat. Replacement on the ct2040 would be $1500. Quite a big difference. I'd also recommend opting for extended warranty that also covers electronics.

  • @kencoon2155
    @kencoon2155 2 года назад

    I believe this tractor is built by LS tractor and I believe is the same tractor as the new Holland work master series a few little changes to make it theirs but a lot of the parts are interchangeable

    Electronics on tractors are BS. If you see the Kubota in my profile, it is a 2018 L2501 GEAR DRIVE, with NO electronics. No tier 3 crap either. It's a simple tractor, but absolutely NO electronics on it, all the way down to the accelerator and fuel delivery system.

    • @sprancho669
      @sprancho669  2 года назад

      Thanks. I needed a little more hp, but good to know on the 2501. Frankly I think it's "by design" companies are putting more and more electronics in tractors theses days. Something else to break/fail where you have no other choice but to have them repair them with their software.
