  • From Childhood to Local Mississippi boy to The National stage, and all the rest of His life Elvis Presley captured our attention with His Raw and transforming talent of every part of The Music industry, to a United States solider, movie star, and The Most Fabulous Entertainer The World had ever seen .He broke all records in every way.
Las Vegas was never the same after Elvis!
Mostly Elvis personally was a private person, shy, in many ways and always Suffered stage fright but when he took the stage He came alive! He was never surpassed.
Elvis always gave us his all, I think he did that in His Private life too, he loved hard ;lived hard, worked hard; and did it all with all his heart more then anyone I have ever seen! That was just ELVIS!
Truth is , Elvis lived just the way he was and was the most talented at just being himself and allowed no-one to change that! Thank God!
Foe Elvis truly was The King of all Music and everything you hear today, he opened doors for that to be long ago!
    Hope you enjoy..
    Phyllis

Elvis was indeed a gift from the Almighty God. I studied he's life. From humble beginnings. He was blessed with the greatest looks. Greatest voice. The way he carry himself and gived to the needy. But he was a man that was not shy to bring messages from his Creator in his GOSPEL performences. NOT A EASY LIFE. He gave his everything! We/I love you ELVIS. The greatest he Respect and Loved he's parents!! What a man!! 👌

I’m 80. “Heartbreak Hotel” came on our radio about the same time every morning. My mother didn’t have to tell me it was time to get ready for school. I was out of my bed like a shot and the first thing I did was turn the radio volume up. My mother liked Elvis as well as I did. No problem turning up the radio when Elvis came on.

It is a amazing history, that we can really believe that everything is possible when you agree to make the dreams become true. However, the most important thing that he never forgot: Who you are, your personality. For all these things I can say: I love Elvis Presley!

He definitely looked like “The new and Improved “ version of Frank Sinatra when Frank had him on his show but I think it did a lot for both of them. He (Frank)was presented like The Godfather, the seasoned veteran and Elvis the younger, Taller, maybe more handsome and wet behind the ears youngster. It was wise of Frank to have him on and blew up Elvis’ career especially with him raving on about what a nice boy he is etc. And if Frank said it-It’s gotta be true.

Elvis later have Sammy a beautiful horseshoe shaped diamond ring he admired on Elvis. Elvis really liked Sammy and Sammy liked Elvis. I was glad Sammy was there when Elvis needed someone to give him a pep talk.

The moral to the Elvis phenomenon is that 'll the fame and richest in the world, cannot and never will be a substitute, for true happiness of mind nidy and soul, and i think Elvis himself would have been the first one to agree.
Only yesterday I was listening to some of his earlier interviews as he was just starting out on rise to fame and worldwide popularity, what struck me in all interviews was his yearning to be loved just for himsel, his sensitivity, his humility and his unwaivering faith.
Sadly Elvis was thrust into a world so alien to every fibre of his upbringing, he was simply too trusting, and used and exploited, became a cash cow to many and a true friend to few. His family and faith being often his only solace.
The conflictions and struggles of mind and body he was forced to face were simply too much of a burden in the end.
Had Elvis found his true soulmate and lifelong partner, his life would have taken many different paths both careerwise and personally.
To accomplish what he did is a testament To his multi faceted talent, never to be equalled or surpassed.

I don't know why, but I feel that all the persons who surrounded him were the right ones for him: neither the Colonel, nor Priscilla, less than ever the MM.even if some of them loved him and helped his career.Nobody really understood his inside; he was polite ,gentle, caring of everyone,a tormented spirit, full of contradictions:he had to be freeand his great talent and charisma, would have come out in anyway.

    • @MaryElizabeth99
      @MaryElizabeth99 8 лет назад +4

+anna maria facchiano In another biography, one of his friends said he was naive about his career and his manager. I think with Elvis' upbringing, it was hard for him to do anything about Col. Parker, so he probably chose to ignore an unhappy situation. Actress Mary Ann Mobley who was good friends with Elvis said: He was much nicer than people knew, a loving and loyal friend, and innately a good person." I just don't think Elvis got the warmth, understanding, or sensitivity he needed on earth. He made some wrong choices that came back to haunt him in spades, and especially this showed up the final years of his life. Some people have hearts that get broken and hurt easier than other people, and I think Elvis was one of these people. I also think when he was more intimate with his audience, it can be traced to his early childhood and loss and stresses he felt going on (and also the person Elvis was!). It was a way more of getting the love, comfort and acceptance he wanted. He also came from a generation of men who were different than today's men. Being in my 60's, this stands out a lot when I watch him on You Tube. I love it that Elvis touched his audience, or would wave at them, he interacted with his fans as though he felt close to them, and he would bring you into his world closer. I talk about this because when I listened recently to one of Elvis in Concerts in Europe, a man was heard laughing and making fun of Elvis for kissing the ladies (and children too), but that was just one of the things very special about Elvis. You knew if you went to an Elvis concert, you may have the chance to touch him, and as a fan what would be more exciting??!!! I saw Elvis in 1971, and I wish I had gotten out of my seat and tried to touch him !!

      MaryElizabeth99
I understand you and agree with you on may things.Who had the chance to meet Elvis, fans, musicians, critics, common people, all of them was enchanted by his politeness, his smile, his sensitiveness, his humbleness. No doubt he had Charm and charisma. And yet he was often hurt by dull people who made fun of him and even accused him of misleading young boys and girls with his rock'n'roll and with his bodily movements on the stage. But his bad luck was to have around the wrong people.Gladys who understood and loved her son, mistrusted the Colonel and, at first, she did not sign the contract with Parker. Then she gave up seeing the enthusiasm of Vernon and Elvis. This strange man was able to take out money from a stone and promoted his golden boy in an excellent way making him (and himself ) rich and famous, but he was a bad manager.especially in the second part of Elvis career. He did understand anything about music,he was rather rude and uncultured,he did not care of Elvis inside richness and problems, he exhausted him booking long tours and when Elvis was sick with high temperature he said:"tonight he must be on the stage."What about the acting career?Elvis was so happy to start acting and wanted to become a good actor and pointed out that he did not want to sing in the movies. But the colonel decided that his pictures had not to win Academy Awards, but only money. At the beginning Elvis was very grateful to him, but he always used to avoid fight or quarrels with anybody, above all with Parker. This was his big mistake he had to show more determination and personality and opposw his manager's plans. But "he was lost in his music" (his words). So he had to leave Parker as a promoter and choose an appropriate manager.(see what kind of managers had Michael Jackson : Quincy Jones, Frank Di Leo, and so on).I realize that I was too long and I don't want to bother you, But I love Elvis so much! If you are interested in knowing what I think about Priscilla and her family and why she was not the right woman to Elvis, let me know. I'm glad to talk with you. CiaoA:Maria.

I still believe Elvis is alive and faked his death. He had to his life was in danger. He had to get help with his addictions. Being confined didn't help Elvis. The mafia didn't really help Elvis. Priscilla was too greedy, sneaky and a witch. Love should had been there and made a difference.

@@annamariafacchiano1688 .myyes I have believed Priscilla was not the right person for elvis he wanted someone who was going to stay with him knowing they both love each other with his career wherever he in a big crowd she must have trust for him truly deeply honestly genuinely loved him for who he is, but she did not deserve him ,she don't know him amen to this ,if she had really love him truly deeply his life would have been better for him,

I don't idolize anyone but Jesus Christ. Like Elvis said "I'm not the King, only Jesus is King." Nothing wrong with getting excited about something and have fun as long as your not looking up to someone as perfect and things to that nature. Big difference so don't judge like typical Christians do. It gives God a bad name.

No matter what anyone thinks of Priscilla here, it wasn't her fault things went wrong. No woman should be a doormat to any man Famous or not. Don't blame her for something she had no control over. It not normal for a woman to be sitting at home with your child and waiting for your man to come home. But a woman is not stupid. if you listen to most of Elvises songs after the divorce, they are confession songs. He had it all. the beautiful wife, a beautiful child, fame and fortune, but he put his career and fans ahead of his family. if any one to blame, it is fans and women who threw themselves at him, wanting a piece of him. with that sacrifice he lost his family, but gained the loyal fans forever to-date. so instead of blaming Priscilla, us the fans can take some blame. he wanted always to keep his fans happy and to give them love. It was hard for him. family or fans? he chose his fans and his career. This lifestyle was making him ill and medication was his friend to keep him going until his body could not take it anymore.

This is the trouble: everyone makes excuses. Elvis was, and was always, in charge of Elvis. He did what HE wanted. If he lost his precious family on the way, that was HIS fault. Fabulous entertainer, immature and weak man, surrounded by male hanger-ons and enablers.

He was not a weak man nor was he immature he became an addict he didn't know why neither do we my daughter died of addiction not to long ago and she was neither weak or immature you have no clue who the man really was no one did we know what we read what we hear from other people but we were not in his inner circle and I get so tired of people making all these assumptions about a man who has been dead over 40 yrs honestly we know nothing everyone that tells a story about him has there own agenda so unless you we're there you know nothing and no that's not a contradiction to what I said about the people that were there they all had an agenda

knowing priscila now doing to his grandchildren, his loss is definitely not priscilla but either ann margaret or linda or mindi. other people keep on speculating that Elvis was heart broken when priscila left. for me a big NO, he was only angry and frustrated but not heartbroken. disease caused by drug abuse deteriorates his behavior and appearance like other sick person . I believe he was more than happier when priscila left. he was happy with his caring beauty queens, pretty daughter, loyal and crazy fans, and loyal entourage.
