Fred Mastro demonstrates that no amount of Kali or Martial Arts training can possibly prepare you for the realities of a vicious knife attack on the street. In this video, he meets with a long time FCS Kali practitioner for the first to test the theory that on the street, things happen very fast and that not even Kali can protect you against a swift, powerful attack with deadly intention.

Maximum respect for Anthony Reyes of FCS Kali, he swallowed his ego and accepted this great learning experience.
He most likely knew the importance of stance and the reactionary gap already, this was just to show us.
He should have let him do it to him
if he was in Kali he must've been a beginners cos everyone knows this already - mastro should try and block it too - he'd be cut big time - and why is everyone he demonstrates on is shorter than him - this is common knowledge bullshit .
Colin Frost This shows how stupid is the teacher here.
LMAO Fred starts from a position with a knife is half up already in his hand.
Look closely how he tells the short guy to keep his hands down straight and start from that position.
This guy is such a loser he can't even trust a shorter dude with this.
I mean my hand is already up while other guy's hands are straight up down of course I am gonna slice his throat. LMAO he always get short dudes to show how effective his bullshido is.
Colin Frost 🙏🏾
What I LOVE most is the Humility and Professionalism of both of them. The efficiency and power is amazing!
This is just a classic case of action being faster than reaction.
+LastCasualty Yes.
+LastCasualty yes, left guy is fast af
yes it is but reaction have to be very fast lot of training for reflexers
What is what? What are you talking about?@Logic
Action is going to beat reaction almost always. Its like trying to survive an ambush. Your survival hinges upon your opponent's incompetence, not good odds.
That is exactly what we are seeing here... people are missing it. No one will be fast enough to react... No one has to be incredibly fast to succeed at initiating the action... It is a bit of a parlor trick.
Exactly. How many times could the little guy have randomly shanked him while he was talking? This is because he was the designated defender. This concept is a principle in law enforcement defensive tactics. A knife-wielding suspect has an advantage against even a trained police officer with a holstered firearm inside of 21 feet. At two feet? C'mon.
Yup. I show this to people (who don't have long fingernails) by putting a coin in their flat palm with my flat palm under their hand, and rotate my hand around their hand to grab the coin out of it... they'll often think they have it and be surprised when they open their hand.
He's cutting from under the eye line. You won't see it until its too late. His body shifting and pivoting add to the unseen hit and it just rocks you. Wow! Great stuff. He's amazing.
Mike Reis n
What?
Yep. It's like when a Boxer doesn't telegraph his punches with his elbows. Good luck blocking that straight left/right
It also helps that the defender is apx shoulder height. Allowing his approach angle to be tighter to his body (that action would look fairly different if the defender was as tall or taller than him)
He would have to adjust his arm more as well as run the risk of losing a significant amount of power generated.
Dont get me wrong this dude would still probably rock it. I'm just saying the situation is ideal for maximizing speed and power of that cut
Knife trajectory also very far. He actually aiming for the lower left side and emphasis on punching than slashing. Awesome learning video.
This is an action vs reaction drill. When you’re reacting your brain goes through a “defensive reaction cycle” of 1. Perception
2. Evaluation and 3.Reaction. That takes time. The attacker will always have a slight advantage in that regard, especially in a close quarter, sudden, aggressive assault. This is pure human physiology. In this particular drill the subject of the attack is also being “stunned” because his brachial plexus nerves (located on the side of the neck) are simultaneously struck. Fred Mastro is a highly skilled individual but having said that if the roles were reversed you would likely have the same result. This is human physiology at work, don’t mystify it.
Lesson taken: when the adversary has a "k-nayfe", run for your life
I think it would be better suited with someone like him on first meeting, his own student you'd suspect it was pre-planned.
Sorry. Wrong comment. My phone sucks.

Everything was okay till i saw your comment. Now i got a lot on my shirt. I laughed so hard. Sry for mah english.

Man that guy is going to be feeling that tomorrow!
That's hard plastic. Those training knives are not made of foam, I'm sure that didn't feel good.
but he will remember that lesson, and maybe that could save his life
Thank yiouu. Thank you. THANK YIOUU.
i hate it when teachers beat up a student or person offering themselves for demonstration. There is no reason why you need to demonstrate that technique 15 times without a pad or something to such a sensitive part of the body. Just put a pad there, roll up a t-shirt or something so that you respect the person's body.
+professorbland pussy, no ballet round ere son
+Toby Wolff pathetic
Then why not use a real knife? That's "real world." Jugular strikes are not something to play with, no matter how real or hard you may think you are, if you're hit there you can get a concussion or bleed internally and go to the hospital "real" quick. Train responsibly.
suna sasori sure. Why not take the chance, right? Hospital visits and brain damage are cheap and worth trying to look like a hardass. If you want to train that way, hey, it's your body.
From what Ive seen in Freds videos, he takes it too far for an educational standpoint.
Reaction is always slower than action, especially when you are close to your opponent. The most important thing to remember in a street confrontation is to control the distance, do not let a stranger get to close to you. Keep moving , try to keep something between you and a potential opponent; a wall, a trash can, a park bench., whatever. A cane or a walking stick is a great distance control tool as well. Use it as a barrier between yourself and your would-be assailant. Just some tips I've picked up along the way.
or bullets
That is why he needs to travel the world, because he runs-out of training partners. ;)
Long story short: If someone is mugging you with a knife, throw your wallet at him and run.

ULTRAFIGHTER Did you watch the video?
or conceal carry a handgun 🔫
point of the video, power is a necessary component of any technique, this is just one example... great video!!
+Danny Sullivan You got the point.
+Danny Sullivan the point of the video is that his feet are stuck in the ground or what? fucking move your body or upper body just a bit and he will miss - simple as that -.- don't make yourself an easy target by not evading blows trough movement alone
supermodel2011 very true. but power cannot be ignored as also being important...
agreed sir. i just felt bad for the guy's neck after a while.
+Ben Pierce
I know that's right, after the first I would have been done. He was beating the shit out of his neck boy....
why don't you try that on Doug Marcaida... It would be a very interesting video to watch.
yeah
Doug would recognize the set-up... it's a parlor trick that merely exploits the reactionary gap. Except in this case the guy is using it to stroke his ego and not to enlighten people to the realities of Action vs. Reaction.
A parlor trick? Except in a real life scenario, the setup would have been the same..
Porpoise....watch a world star video. just about everyone does the stand nose to nose and talk shit method.....which is closer than what they show here.
Yes this is a parlor trick. I'm glad someone said it.
Action faster than reaction. Short reactionary gap with power and commitment.Video speaks for itself. Thanks for sharing.
Lol, that dude was like "What the fuck have I gotten myself into? HELP!" You could see the terror in his eyes hahaha.
I've seen that instructor on this channel before, I think he has a bit of a sadist streak.
Torgo dude you are so right. That guy enjoys seeing people in pain. And hides it behind humbleness and respect. Thanks for letting me beat the living shit out of your windpipe and sternocleidomastoid muscles making you have the fear of God in your eyes. Lol. I would not volunteer for this. Why didn't the guy just say, I get it all ready, enough.
I would volunteer for this gay sadist to attack me or try his gay techniques, he'd be crying all the way to the hospital, he picks people who 'respect' him or are gay and skinny like he is, I have a few Russian brothers who would love for this master to demonstrate on them, I would not respect or fear him but explode into him.

+xXbaylegoXx You've obviously never been an Uke and taken a strike over and over. Or come to grips with the fact that your training is just not enough to overcome a street fighter who wants to maim you. The word he used was "humbled" and it's perfect. That's the basis for training and improving one's skills.
It's necessary
***** Oh yeah? I took on the whole American Special Forces with just a toothbrush, and a half eaten pancake.
Fred tells the other "you start here not here. And when Fred actually start is slash, it is where he tells the defender not to start. That like saying punch me like this not like that. It's like they are in a race and Fred is start at the near finish, were he told the defender not to strar there.
0:43 *The "I don't trust you" handshake*
Big respect to Anthony to face that wholeheartedly again and again.
Alright, I'll take that challenge. If you actually know why he's so successful you'd be aware of the oncoming strike.
But to digress...The reason why he's successful is mainly two reasons. One, the attacker isn't telegraphing the attack. There is no movement from the shoulder, like with a good boxer. Second, the defender has concrete for feet. Since the scenario is set up that the attacker and defender are 'at range', at the beginning - it's obvious its going to be successful. The defender has to have a plan to defence in order to react in that short period of time - 3.2 seconds. That's it. This is why there are so many systems that are flawed. You can see him trying to defend. His hands move, he can see the attack coming, he just has the wrong defensive plan due to poor training.
This is why flow drills are terrible but look awesome. In order to perform a flow drill, your partner has to maintain the same distance at all times, otherwise the drill doesn't flow. But as you can see from this video, when attacked - the defender didn't move, he didn't create space. And physics tells us, that in order to increase time between two points of distance you must increase the space. So if you have only 3.2 seconds to react - protect your body and move. He had the ability - especially when he knew it was coming - but his mind had not been trained to react in a defensive plan. You can even see that once attacked, the instinct is to surrender as if that was it. So you got cut ? So what ? Hands up, return the attack - or get cut again and again.
Lastly, these drills - although a wake up for 90% of the community - are unrealistic as proof to a defence. The defence happens when you see the opponent before you know there is an attack. Reading body language, watching movement, seeing a weapon ( as if ) and putting yourself in a position to mount a defence if necessary. No schools teach that.
+kodaspaws Amen brother. The same thing applies to hand to hand combat. Once you are in striking range and your hands are down, it is very easy to be sucker punched in the face. Which also explains why so many different arts teach you to keep your hands up.
+kodaspaws After you've trained with weapons for a while, you can "feel" when an
attack is coming, as silly as it sounds. If you have to react to body
movement, you will lose since you go last. My first reaction here though was: Why isn't he moving? Why is he standing still in place? The first thing I was taught was to move my feet first to get distance, then you can block. This becomes even more important when weapons are involved.
+kodaspaws Well said. The defender is standing like a statue. He should be moving AND blocking.
+TheCrushmaster certainly. In real life, if you have a shady fucked walking up to you and he gets that distance and you feel any killing intent, you back up and build space. Knives are fought at close range, and if you're too close, as this video showed, there's absolutely no way to block an attack; Only avoid it by gaining distance from the attacker.
TheYeller7: I think this can be blocked. Boxers block hook punches thrown at very short range, for instance. Just not in the statuesque manner shown in this video.
i love these vids.
i love when you show actual in action test. not training test, but actual "this is how it is done in actual use" test.
VERY interesing. would love to try and block that cut, would be an awesome experience :D
*He made a how to kill properly tutorial..and my GTA 5 Video got flagged from youtube WTF REALLY*
You didn't disclose "for education and entertainment purposes only".
What Fred is demonstrating can save the life of our military and law enforcement officers. The cut/stab one kill mindset must be engraved in the Warfighter's. Fred is an incredible Trainer. Wow!
I know he's doing it to prove a point and show how fast and powerful the attack is but the guy in the white hood looks pretty uncomfortable. I feel bad for him.
Well, better be uncomfortable now and take in the truth then display heroism and bravado in a real situation which will lead to a way more uncomfortable outcome.
Interesting, but here is the thing: beyond the Street Philosophy, what does an individual take away from this? When I train, I should hit harder & faster? Musashi's writings cover the concept of "preemption"; minimal technique with maximum delivery. Methodologies on how to deliver more power, how to effectively increase reaction time specifically for knife would be a good reference point.
If someone can block that cut, its someone with a better neuro-muscular reaction time than the person attacking. Thats pretty much it.
What do you train in?
Princess2Warrior Yin Style Baguazhang is my base, but I mostly focus on physical training and movement integration now.
My only problem with this demo is why would you let a man with a knife in his hand get that close to you. He wasn't drawing from concealment so why oh why???? Of course it can't be blocked.
DonQuijote_The Chaplain it's a set up to fill up his ego.
Nothing to learn here, he is trying to be badass
Like usual you got the what if'ers here completely misunderstanding the point, it's not about technique it's about following through with your movements. Which is why the guy said it was humbling. It doesn't matter what you think his "ego" is, if you're in a knife fight you better strike with purpose. Very well executed.
DonQuijote_The Chaplain
You're weak.
@@itsTHATducker the only thing thos demonstrates is cheapshotting is effective. Its way easyer to gain the upper hand on a fight if the opponent doesnt even know he is in a fight.

Very eye opening! Simple and straight forward no bullshit approach to where it really counts, the street!
I see some negative comments here but understand that most do not understand the importance of this video.
em Burgess eh.. Do you really think people don't get the obvious message of the video. Come on. It's the demonstration that is kind of douchebaggy. That guy likes inflicting pain.
@Tekstil Art this genus thinks street fight means the other guy is gonna announce he has a knife.... Smh
The importance of the video is that without Situational Awareness, Distance Managament and Risk Assestment, you´ll get cut.It has nothing to do with the technique or the movement, it doesn´t even have to do with Fred or the other guy. It´s basic physics and biology, if someone is at arms reach, they´ll reach you before you can percieve and react to their motion. That´s it. Don´t let people get within arms reach and if you feel threatened, don´t keep your fucking arms down. But Fred sais nothing about this and only wants to look cool cuting someone who got set up in a disadvantage position.
Fred Mastro is a legend and is a very dangerous man but I respect him bc of the respect he has to people that are learning and he always shows his techniques with respect and love. Your the best Fred!
That dude is fast
zuto96 actually you would be too. It's a set up
@@gabbar51ngh It's not all set up. Dude you don't get the point of this video. This video was not made for the guy to prove how good he is. It was made to showcase that training in any martial art will not prepare you for stuff like this. Any of us with a healthy body can pull that cut off. And that is what this video is supposed to showcase. A thug on the street who is not just there to train and play pretend, but actually has the intention to kill will not give you time to think about all those defensive responses you have trained to accuire. Action beats reaction, very simple. So the bigger picture here is just to be aware of your surroundings. Honestly, because of past experiences I always turn off my music, keep one hand out ready and keep an eye on people I walk by when I am out at night and it's just me and that person.
Pretty paranoid I know, but also pretty much the only way to prepare for such a situation. Because if the person has a knife and I do not see that until he is in range, I am dead basically.
I hope you get that now. He is not trying to show off. He is just trying to say, anyone can fuck you up like that on the streets. Martial arts won't make you invincible and you need to build up an awareness of this and know in wich situations you should be extra careful of your surroundings and other people.
EDIT:
Oh and forgot to mention. About the point of the video. The difference between street fighting and martial arts showcased here is not only that the hands were down and as such reacting is much harder, but also that the attacker puts 100% of his power into the cut, wich makes it a lot faster. Something you don't usually do while training because you would hurt your partner and that would be stupid. But still, this causes many martial artists to forget what actual power feels like and how to act against it because they are used to a safer training environment and cannot handle actual power intended to kill.
@@ardynizunia9709 funny how you are saying all of those things but he isn't, yet you think that's his intention, somehow.
@@pabloqueima
You actually think you need to say something out loud to convey intention?
It is honestly pretty obvious. I do not agree with him actually going as far as hurting and bruising people he works with, he should not do that. But this video is clearly not to show off like a badass. He is not superhuman, that much is obvious as hell. So once again, from his perspective, the things he said made everything pretty clear, for me, someone with martial arts experience it was also very clear. This is directed towards martial artists so that much understanding can be expected.
And just to finish, if you think every person tells you everything LITERALLY, than you have no experience with human beings. Yes, he could have been more clear. Does that mean that only the things he said out loud were relevant? No. When a girl tells you she is cold, just as a simple example, in most situations she wants you to give you a blanket/your jacket, stuff like that but she did not say it out loud. Get it? Read between the lines because humans are pretty rarely 100% clear about their thoughts. Men and Women alike.
Very impressive. Seems like the more advanced you get the simpler you get.
He had no regard and no control or respect for his demonstration partner. SMDH. You can demonstrate high level tactics without causing harm or embarrassment to the person who is loaning you their body for a demonstration. Also, true knifers understand that you NEVER have your hands down or are flat footed when engaged in a knife assault! Distance and movement are key!

Wow, what an eye opener! Best vid for ages.
Wow! That's super scary man. How does a person prevent another person from doing something like that to you? Not letting them get that close to you?
+Scott Ballard Correct. You need to be aware of the guy's intent and capability... feel his intent [this can be trained], see the knife [or reaching for waistline etc. or hidden or weirdly tense hand]. If he seems to be about to attack you, with or without a weapon, you must act first [put your hands up! never stand close to a hostile like a sucker with hands down] and control the distance. So then you move away or in, to escape or attack. To escape backpedal with hands up [don't just turn to run if he is close as you might get stabbed in the back] until you have space to run or get a weapon or shield. Kicking is a possibility [with well trained balance only] to keep him back, gain space and injure him. To attack go for his eyes and throat... fingers in the eyes is real self-defence that anybody can do [if they want]... KO speed and power is not likely to be working for you when you are old or sick but tiger claw to eyes still works. Sensitivity, relaxation and balance drills are your most important exercises... forget most martial techniques. Learn to be naturally responsive and do some kind of sparring and most of all learn to manage your emotions and mind and those of others [continuous therapy for yourself to heal and grow and conflict and ambush scenario drills are a must for serious self-defence training]... be aware and balanced and you can avoid 99% of violence.

Reyes should have said, ok, let switch and I'll demonstrate on you for five minutes, just to make sure everyone understands.
this is why you never keep your hands down at close range. anyone can do this, and that's not the only angle that you can do. it's good to recognize you can't react to a knife, you have to have guard up and you should be doing things to stop him from doing what he wants. also, reflex reactions are different from controlled reactions, "nike" is trying to understand and then react. no time for that. you have to just have a simple, effective movement that has been honed as a reflex. also, I note that Fred was stepping and moving when he attacked, "nike" was standing. with a knife, distance and mobility is key. thank you for the video, good stuff.
i really appreciate the respect the two strangers show to each other.
+HE HATE ME ------ The moments before must be given great care and attention...
+TheDarkAquarian That's basically the idea. Don't allow anyone too close without a 2.5 second scan. Check the hand placement and belt line/pockets. A drill I used to get me acclimated to the idea, play a game with yourself called "spot the weapon", next time you're out, watch people's pockets for things like knives, Stanley blades, multi tools, and writing utensils. You'd be surprised how many you see, and how quickly a person can close on you by just walking at a normal pace.

Icy Uranus No, this scenario that they are playing out is not self defense. No one is getting robbed or raped. This is just a knife fight. Stop being stupid.
I totally agree with you. It would be murder, pure and simple. Of course, it is obviously effective for assassination, if that is the goal.
Your statement is true in almost all cases. As far as self defense, you can take that if you believe the person may have a knife you do not want them at that range and also that no matter how quick your hands are or martial arts training there is a good chance you will not be able to block the cut..
Excellent video, shows and explain well, thumbs up. Somehow I still feel uneasy about teaching the open public such.
Fred is one though master. He likes to hurt his students 😂
Well a good master don't do this. It is acceptable and even appropriate sometimes to show a bit of roughness to teach something but there is no point in repeating on and on and on the same technique even after the sparring partner has said enough, like in this video. He literally ask the partner if he can beat him other times, when the technique was already shown and explained. No way.

I think this is a great video...not necessarily because of the techniques displayed, but because it displays a few traits that todays martial arts have become complacent in ....Awareness of surroundings, conflict avoidance, and de-escalation methods. I understand surprise attack and all, but to me this video is a great example of why it is important to hone the skills of situational awareness, avoidance, and de-escalation.

+arkangel8419 I don't think +tutti was being a troll bro. He did raise concerns I had regarding thugs finding & using this stuff. 👍
+tutti how wouldn't it fly as self defense? if somebody is that close and hurting you or approaching you with violence. maybe he has a gun out in his hand at his side? and your flinch response that you said could beat this, couldn't, because 1 its a reaction to his action, and 2, flinches arent anywhere near strong enough to stop his powerful slash. this guy is swinging it like a sword. by the time you realize your under attack its too late because your either nearly decapitated or too busy chasing your tail trying to hold in the mass amounts of blood pouring from you.
Thanks for the video. It's very interesting and has got me to change up some of my tactics. Nice job and Fred is a beast.
All these fighting Pro´s in the comments its insane. :D Lmao
Johnny deep What fighting pro? It's obvious it's a staged scenario.
He starts from the point where his hand is half way up with a knife and he tells the other guy to block him while his hands are straight up down. Not while it's up.
A true test would be knife in the pocket and the defenders hands are down too.
So he pulls out the knife and then attacks. We will see how fast it is.
I would never be that close facing anybody with my arms just dead by my side. That´s plain stupid.
So the video teaches that Fred can murder unsuspected and untrained people in cold blood. Wow, news flash.
All commenting from their enormous experience of street fighting of course *sarcasm
The main lesson I learned working through kyu: When I got to 1st dan, I knew how to take a beating. Sensei was adamant with regard to understanding the difference between the are and the application. The art will bruise your " heart", but the application will crush your ego; there is no room for ego in dan grades.
A punch with knife cut with hands down, I thought that was hilarious, you see a guy with a knife in his hand only two feet distance from you, and keep your hands down, nonsense
Merci Fred , You are very good
I appreciate your amazing technics and helpful tutorials ✌🏻
Before I even watch the video, I call bullshit. There is no such thing as unblockable.
Yep, absolute bullshit.
It takes a special kind of stupid to believe Fred's bullshit.
Zed Zul Zorander lol that was funny man
I knew the outcome of this before they started to play the game: you cannot block or defend a blow (knife or not) from someone who is already past your safe distance. No matter what your reflexes or fighting experience is.
This is why so many martial arts fail on the street: not that the technique is bad, just impossible to apply at this range.
Good video to show this.
This title isn't click-baity enough for me. Please work on that.
+Murphy82nd its only click bait if its not worth watching ;)
For me its recognizing the situation before that would happen and range is something i rake very serious especially if there is trouble and your in a bad area. Thanks for the eye opener a humbly subscribed to your channel.
I try to explain this to my wrestling and BJJ friends and they laugh at me over and over. A knife is just as deadly as a gun.
I don't think you are legit because when I have knife defence talks at the BJJ school I attend they dont laugh they agree. It helps that a number of them are law enforcement. But any martial artist should know how dangerous a knife is...
+Rev216 I agree intent to kill is an important factor.
Nah, you don't see terrorism start with knives unless it was done on kids. They always teach you, if your enemy pulls out a knife, you run. Yes you can disarm them, if they are stupid. But level of stupidity you have to be on to be disarmed when you have a gun is just too high. Only way to get disarmed with a gun is that you used your handgun as a blunt weapon rather than A GUN.
LOL how do you know what people tell me. The average MMA school where I live is full of UFC meat heads that think they will meet Dana White one day for a fighting contract. And yes they do laugh at me when I advise them on how a regular person with a knife that is intent to do harm. Is just as bad a threat to someone as Black Belt in BBJ is.
It's easy dude, just ask them to defend themselves while you imitate on how a person with a knife attack. I'm sure you can stab them multiple times before they can even "grapple" you.
Great!!! very informative.thanks for sharing.
but what if your opponent it is armed with a banana?
Like the rock?
GokuInfintysaiyan No, like John Cleese!
dom uncl .-. lol
That banana is breaking across your neck.
Lol, Then you say...is that a banana 🍌 in your hand or you're just Really happy 😊 to see me?
This is why situational awareness is the ultimate prerequest in any self defense option, whether it's hand to hand, knife or gun, or simply sprinting, the prerequisite ability that is the force multiplier to all those effective options is situational awareness.
shame on you mastro! why didn´t you take a mastro-guy for your video instead a brother from fcs-kali???
never heard about honor and respect?
If he used his own student it would be accused of being planned or biased. Using someone with no training in his style makes more sense... and makes him have to look at the faults he may have. I'd be honored to participate.
This video can give people we train against what's needed to use a knife effectively.
Moshe Katz Krav Maga Master said if you're going to be attacked by a guy with a knive, the best defense is create distance, if you have a chair or everything use it, don't fight it unless it would be necessary :/
+Perfecto Desconocido IF you can react that quickly. How often are warnings made by a person with a knife with the intent to harm you, changes are it wont be a situation where you can prepare to have a chair at hand and just act like its a lion... that is a good theory, but in reality... the chances it happens the way you want it to is probably slim... doesnt matter what is said, your opponent does not think like you.
David Downs I just hope no one of us have to experience something like this.
Yes. That is right.
I agree.that's the way I teach
Sufu Hashim That works great in a gym setting, but I seriously question its effectiveness on the streets where youre likely to be attacked (speaking to the use of a chair or whatever)... you likely wont have time.
Creating distance is an obvious thing though.
Thank you, thank you so much slap number fifteen hug. Love it
Years ago I met an instructor who demonstrated a similar tactic cutting the abdomen. It was a learning experience.
great videos! just a little suggestion. can u teach us how to defend your powerful move as well?
A awesome teacher, but also a awesome sadist.
Always Underdog you can see he even has a boner!!
Always Underdog yep
"You know the anger".
He sure does now. Felt it too.
thank you very much for showing this.
I learned alot.
That's one disciplined and humble student!
😂Brother That real knife made me uncomfortable and it wasnt on my neck!! Thank you gentlemen for some great info!
Respect to Reys for abiding by what Fred said or I m sure no trained fighter let anyone close in without guarding up
Good video, very interesting!!! ☀️🌴🌴🌴
Fantastic video once again OMG come to LA California
This video very effectively demonstrates how important awareness of self and situation is. A powerful attack made with intention against someone who must first react before they can defend against it (surprise attack)... will ALWAYS win. This same cut would be impossible against someone who's already set up of for it, ie: in a defensive position, hands up and ready, or someone who is maintaining a safer distance.
I know, "INCREDIBLE OBSERVATION, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS, WHAT OTHER GEMS OF WISDOM HAVE YE FOR US?"
But seriously, it's worth noting every time, because in every defensive situation I've ever seen, be it against an attacker or a dangerous situation like a potential traffic collision, etc... those who maintain vigilance will be able to prevail I'd say %90 of the time. The other %10 of situations that they cannot avoid/defend against, they will be more able to effectively mitigate the negative results.
Stay aware, stay safe good sirs and madams.
Well he's standing with in range of the brains reaction time added with a very fast movement, damn
