Beste is om niet naar de finale te gaan zodat het selectie committee een wake-up call krijgen en dit niet zomaar nog een keer gebeurd..
Vind het oprecht vervelend voor Mia en Dion maar ze zijn alleen maar gekozen omdat Duncan achter dit project zit, hoe dan?
Cornals Maas gaf aan dat er meer dan 400 inzendingen waren dit jaar, en heeel toevallig kiezen ze het nummer dat door Duncan geschreven is en geregisseerd wordt. Hopelijk volgend jaar weer gewoon de beste kandidaat met het beste lied ipv vriendjes kiezen ☹️.

I had the TV on and my dog heard Mia&Dion singing and started howling which sounded a lot better than what they were doing on stage.

As a dutch person i’m getting very scared of our chances. I don’t expect the artists to be perfect every preparty but these two haven’t had a good showing yet.
They blamed the monitor first, but later they got a new one of their own and they sung even worse after that.
Honestly they need to autotune these 2 to the moon, otherwise a lot of people will experience total vicarious embarrassment.

@@BirdNatureView lol, I even heard on the radio today ( 538) that they have to laugh so hard about all the critics, because acccording to them WE, the audiance, are the ones that don't get it; this is their style, they said, they are on purpose out of tune.......lol yeah right, who they think they're kiddding? So they changed the story about their performance yet again. They just can't sing and somehow managed to bluf themselves in to the festival...........we won't qualify for the finals with these 2, thats for sure. I mean; even for Eurovision standards this is way too bad. They manage to be out of tune almost every single note...even the lower ones.

As a Dutchie I've always been a fan of the Songfestival but I've never heard anyone sing this false. I sincerely hope and believe they won't make it past the semifinals. Let's hope there will finally be a competition in the Netherlands next year for who can represent this because I feel shame in their place.

This reminds me of Romania 2021. Before the show it was in everyone’s top 10 and the song, choreography and stage were flawless to the point it made me shed a tear during the live show. We all know what happened in the end.
I mean it was Romania's brodcaster that told Roxen to sing in a low note, wear the outfit, and be mad. They screwed them

This is exactly why you need to do as many preparties as possible. Brooke in 2022 was facing issues singing live but she really improved but the semi's..
The worst part is I know Dion can do better cuz I've seen him live at one of Duncan's concerts but he's just not delivering😭especially not together with Mia. Sorry besties

I legit just sat here and sang it to make sure I wasn’t being overly critical and, yeah, same lol. They are both just SO off key in so many parts, and the lack of controlled power in the belting parts, I’m just baffled at this point. So frustrating, I love the song and the recorded version sounds so lovely! 😢

don't count on it...they performed it live a few times now and every time it was very much out of tune/pitch.....so basically everyone in The Netherlands have come to the conclusion they both can't sing at all....and that we end up dead last this year. Love from The Netherlands

hahahaha dat zei ik net ook al tegen mijn vriend; in elk geval weten we zeker dat we ergens onderaan eindigen dit jaar ( zo niet allerlaatste zelfs), dus dat scheelt weer tig miljoenen voor organiseren als we wel gewonnen hadden...met een beetje mazzel duurt het weer zo'n 40 jaar ofzo voor we weer eens een keer winnen.
Ik heb al eerder gezegd dat het een ruk nummer is en nu met de 2 live optredens blijkt het ook nog eens dat ze niet kunnen zingen. Vriendjes politiek met Duncan Laurens. Hoop dat ze nog eens gaan nadenken om dit act op te knappen. Beter weer de ouderwetse voorrondes doen met echt talent!!!!! Laat het volk kiezen.
This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. 😂 Two people who got there just by having connections to a previous winner, that same winner backing off now because they're really bad, and them still trying to blame it on technical problems. 😂

It´s clear that they are able to sing, but when competing in this type of competition you have to have some type of professionalism. Honestly, it doesn't seem like they have practiced enough, considering how of key they both are at times. Probably nerves. Still love the song though....
They are able to sing right, but very false, so they cannot sing.
@JP Meulendijks You got a point, but being a singer myself I can tell that nerves are affecting their vocals. What I find curious is that they often sing false and lower than the right pitch. Usually when singers get nervous they tend to sing slightly higher than the original pitch, but these two often sing under the original key, which is weird. At this stage the song is too challenging for them and they should lower the key of the track.

Mia sounds pretty good tbh, she didn't fumble much. Dion had a very rough start but improved towards the end. I don't think this is quite the train wreck people say it is but it's not good, live harmonies are always tough to pull off because if either one is off key it sounds horrible
Don’t blame it on the technical issues, the track was overproduced, live they are pretty weak vocally 😢 Which is a shame, because the song is great
yea a good producer and studio engineer can make something of it.. working round the clock on the vocals to make them sound good... reverb and all that. But it shows that they cant sing when they go live. and No chemistry at all. no pasion nothing.

It really shocked me, Most Mia. It reminded me of the performance of the Double Date twins in 1999 at the National Song Festival in the Netherlands with the song A Email to Berlin. So far these 2 sisters sang the most out of tune , but I think they Mia and Dion rival them.

This is the same situation as with amnesia a couple years ago. The studio version was amazing but the live was just not meant to get equally as good😢 and im dutch myself this is just not good
I believe it's a bit different. Roxen had serious voice problems during the entire preparation month, whereas with this entry it's just bad singing, off-key, no chemistry with eachother and the audience whatsoever.
