    @aetion is correct. The classical Greek sculptures came into my mind also as I listened. What impressed me above all was the perfect balance of vivid characterisation with a profound understanding of true Verdian style. Verdi is not Puccini, and the boundaries of taste are not overstepped here. At the same time, the nobility of the characters is at the forefront, aided by the flawless musicianship of the artists. A rewarding listen, for sure. Thank you, Manoli!
