My mother died in 2003 at age 82. She was German and was in the Army during WW2. She told me before she died that she didn't recognize the USA at all anymore. I agreed. She said she could see the winds of war blowing up again just like before WW2 started. And here we are!!! She'd been through it already. My mother was enormously intelligent.

The more I hear Kid Rock, the more I love this guy. Freedom is so precious, and we are so close to losing it. My Momma and Daddy lived through war and poverty, and they passed down their patriotism and love of Country; but the kids today have been sheltered from all of this, and they don't know what it is like out their. This country is not perfect, but it is still the best out there and we MUST keep it that way.

Filmed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I live. Only 5% of the U.P. is inhabited, and we have 300,000 people basically scattered in the woods. My families were miners up here in the early 1930s and have been here ever since. Moved here 20 years ago to take care of my Dad, who had moved home after retiring. He passed many years ago, but I will never go back to Minneapolis. This is home, and I just had a bear walk through the backyard 2 days ago. People here want to be left alone in this beautiful wildness.

If you are born in Michigan's upper peninsula (U.P.), you are a "Yooper" (like the initials sound.) I'm a born - and raised - Yooper. Those spectacular shots of a beautiful shoreline? Any Yooper recognizes the southern shores of Lake Superior. There's a reason he has some of that scenery in this video, even though he had to travel a loooong way to get there. Lake Superior - and the U.P. - are a stupendously beautiful, and sparsely populated area of Michigan. I may not agree with a *lot* of Kid Rock's political views, but he sure can recognize one of the most beautiful areas in the world.
He has traveled around the world, but came home to Michigan to shoot this video. Good call, Kid. I agree.

Born Free and hell bent dying that way. The crazier this country gets the more stubborn and set in the old ways I get.
This is one of my all time favorites and for sure an all time favorite blasting it while my knees and hair are in the wind while I ride my Harley in no particular direction, with no set destination on 2 lane roads enjoying our beautiful country. I’m smack dab in the middle of the country and it’s not uncommon for me to end up 4 or more states away on a weekend ride..
I’m gen x and I can remember my grandpa say in the mid to late 80’s the people done lost their damn minds and this country has gone to hell. Although I miss him dearly I’m glad he doesn’t have to see the clown show we live in today. Being gen X, I was I was raised tough and my grandpa and step dad taught me how to be responsible and self sufficient, but I didn’t really understand until high school and could start to see how the federal government was using the department of education to program children.. I narrowly missed the time out, everyone gets a trophy and drugging children into zombies.. I Remember telling my grandpa and step dad all the BS wasn’t going to turn out so good and the smiles I received because they knew I got it. Been preaching the government acquired its most effective weapon in 1979 since. It dumbfounds me how many people are unable to connect the dots.. 2 of the most true things I’ve ever heard, the most effective way to control, rule people is own their minds when they are young and influential and control the food.. Here we are..

Dude has an incredible stylistic range. If you haven't reacted to "All Summer Long" you should check it out. Maybe the perfect summer anthem, samples a couple of great songs, including his fellow Michigander Bob Seger. I wonder if "Born Free" isn't one of those songs that has a different message for his record label. I read somewhere that if you put all of the people on earth in 10-story buildings, you could fit them all in pretty much any county in Florida. The world is HUGE, but somebody wrote a book in the 1960s that said overpopulation would destroy society, and that idea has been driving policy ever since.

If you don’t care for the auto tune version of “Only god knows why “, check out him and Jamey Johnson live. One of my favorite songs!

Artists may fight with each other but fans of the music itself, naw. We get along well enough. Usually. At least we do when the music is playing.

React to Cody Jinks "Must be the Whiskey" and/or "Loud and Heavy" if you want your mind blown on new country.

I've seen him several times in concert and have to say hands down one of the best live concerts ever!! He puts on one hell of a show!!
Listen to Jesus and Bocephus... love it! Blue jeans and a rosary is amazing also. A fun one to listen to is Po Dunk! The camouflaged mobile home in the video is his it's in Alabama. He had 2 of them made... the other is in Tennessee, he's living in it while his replica of the White House is being built!
