I agree with one of the previous comments about interviewing single people who are residents or visiting for the winter. Thank you.
I was hoping to see some observations from folks who have lived in The Villages for at least 5 years. Everyone here seem like a real newcomer.
I agree. Please consider doing a Q&A with "seasoned" Villagers if you can find some willing to be on camera.
Playing the first one!!!!!
So much fun watching this!!!
It’s great seeing fellow Villagers enjoy life and the lifestyle here. We love it too! Thanks!
Glad you enjoy it!
What a great idea to interview folks that actually live here and find out how they feel about The Villages. I hope you do this again with people who have lived here a little longer. Personally I have met people that have lived here 15 or more years and thay still love it! I wave at everyone whether they wave back or not. It doesn't matter. I loved both videos. I find that even though The Villages is quite large, I still have the feeling of living in a small quiet town. I think it's because of the individual villages. We're spread out in area, but still have a feeling we're all together as one. After all we're all Villagers!! Anyone else have that feeling or am I missing a few? 😊❤ Great videos Jerry and Linda!
❤❤❤❤❤
Part 2 yes! Can't wait to watch it. Thank you for doing this!
Hope you enjoy it!
This is fantastic! Thank you.
You're very welcome!
I would like to know about access to medical care, police, fire. Also, the people who work at the Squares, restaurants, recreation center etc.
Great show, really enjoyed Monday's and today's! I feel like I learn more about TV every time I watch, places are sounding more familiar, people seem to be wonderful. I'd love to live there, but needed here still in the frozen north helping with my very elderly mother! Hoping to visit a friend in Leesburg this year and I'll definitely be visiting TV!!
Thanks as always for your video
One of my favorite shows.
Thank you Raymond. It's kind of going over like a lead balloon today.
Love hearing how so many are living their best life in the Villages! That’s the way retirement is meant to be. Thanks for another great video Jerry & Linda😘
Hi Jerry & Linda!
Excellent video as always… Can you do a video on all your personal favorite restaurants within the villages? I think that would be fun. …
JimmyUSAF 🇺🇸✈️💜🙏👍😇🌎
Glad to hear so many of your participants say how they enjoy the friendly waves from strangers 😀
It would be interesting to do the same survey on the north side of the Villages where people have been here many years.
I agree with you.
Great group willing to sit before the camera to answer questions👍
I love the villages.. loved the question of being accepted .. I never met such friendly people… in fact my neighbor from the villages sent me a house that was for sale across the st from where I stay… she wants me to move there… I wish!!!
Nice to see and hear how different people feel about the Villages!
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for putting this together. It's fun to hear the replies from all of our Villages neighbors. I especially liked the replies to the question: Is The Villages getting too big? It's true that it can be as cozy or sprawling as you want it to be. See you for MBM.
Great infor Jerry and Linda! Thank you.
Hey Jerry, Linda and Gizmo. Oh yess. Part 2 as promised. Wow. A lot of newcomers. What a Christmas present to themselves moving to the Villages on Christmas Day. I’m like the 1st gal. If I have a pool in my backyard; that’s my favorite place. Everything else a bonus. Agreed. Would feel safer from hurricanes 🌀 more inland. I’ll a pool person. When visitors come we’ll just drive 30 minutes to the beach. Nowhere to live is too big as long as it’s clean and there’s ample parking. Like the answer by car not a problem. By golf cart a challenge. 😂. As long as new shopping is developed to handle new communities. Whenever we visit Florida; most folks seem friendly than some in NY. Great part 2. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend and see you next video. 🤩🤗
Both Jim & I loved being interviewed and meeting other Villagers😍This is the most welcoming place that we have ever lived in!! Super friendly & very helpful!! Living Your Best Life here in The Villages‼️
Thank you so much. People like you are what make it what it is.
People coming now have no experience of what TV was 10, 20+ yrs ago. My parents bought in 96. I have seen this place explode with positive and negative expansion. Moved here 2 yrs.ago myself.
I used to walk on the cart path on Morse with my Walkman on and rarely came across any carts!!
Carts were not allowed out after dark according to my 88 yr old neighbor. 466 was a 2 lane road with no lights, just cows.
We really enjoy hearing from people that tell us what the villages was like several years ago. Thank you.
Another amazing video. Thanks for sharing!
That Poor Over Worked Dog ...😁😁😁😁
Good questions 👍
Glad you think so!
To those that live in the Southern section how is the turnpike noise. My #1 priority when looking for a home in TV is to find a peaceful quiet section. Any input is appreciated.
You two did great with this 2 part show. The only thing that would’ve made this show better is having Gizmo ask the questions and test new jokes out on these participants.
Tell Martha from Michigan that i'll meet her at Home Goods any time!!😆 xox to you both (we're back in CA for dad right now but see you at the bus in Feb)
We did not know you were going back. Have a safe trip, we will see you sometime after you return..
Have you done an interview like this one with singles? If so, can you include the link? I want to watch it. Thanks

@@JERRYANDLINDA awesome, thank you!!!!
We're visiting The Villages this month and considering a move. We previously lived in a golf cart community in South Carolina. In our former community, when driving about in your cart, it was customary to exchange a wave with other cart drivers, bicyclists, and walkers. It was a friendly gesture that served to promote a sense of community. While driving the multi-modal trails here in The Villages, I've exchanged only a few waves with other drivers. Reflexively, based on my previous experience, I've initiated many waves but received few returns. I have found that walkers and bicyclists are routinely happy to exchange waves. Is there a standard protocol; or expectation for exchanging waves between cart drivers here in the Villages?
We have found that although everyone is friendly, they are very focused when driving. Keeping both hands on the wheel and concentrating on what they are doing.
With so many residents running around, I would guess some non-wavers are likely just tired of doing it.
Isn't this what aired in Part 1?
How is the homeowner insurance market in the Villages? And type or age of homes being cancelled or non renewed? Has the cost of insurance increase year over year? Thanks
Yes, insurance is going up. Some homes are getting ultimatums regarding their roof. Replace or they won't renew.
@@JERRYANDLINDA i see standard asphalt roofs. Have builders moved up to better tile roofs with hurricane tie downs? Exiting homes for sale seem to be built years prior to home construction improvements in newer homes from Toll, Pulte etc
Jerry and Linda this is the same video as part 1
No. Just the 1st part (introductions)
Yes, that's what we think. This is Part 1.
👌
This series isn’t my cup of tea so I will pass but I’m sure it will be helpful to others.
Do this again!
I wish I could tell people the truth about the villages....all it is is a money pot for developers
Don't live here do ya?
@THE VILLAGES FLORIDA NEWCOMERS I don't live there, but I've worked there for the last decade and have seen all manner of growth and behind the scenes in terms of the rising cost and the caliber of people that do live there, let's just say it's not for me and I would rather live in the woods without the nosy neighbors and rude people and traffic but to each their own. I'm glad that the influx of people do give local people jobs though
@@DAS769 Personally nothing, I'm employed, but I make enough to get by but that's it
What type of job did you have here for the last decade?
