Put on of these in a fractal pop air mini with a 13400 and a free 1050ti and it is quiet cool and gets around 85-95 fps on fortnite for a total of ~$700usd. Makes me want to switch from my full atx to matx!
hello my friend, I have msi b760 tomahawk with an i5 12600k, 16g ram 3200mhz. updated bios. walter cooler 360mm, but in the bios the gamer boost and overclock options are disabled. can you help me. thanks. like
does this one finally support BCLK OC on locked 13th gen CPU? the B660M version as of now does not support it yet, which is presumably because intel patched the microcode exploit
Very exciting stuff coming down the pipeline for the budget crowd. Cant wait for the new i5 13400 - a monstrous 10 core for just $200. Unfortunately, the i3 13100 still looks to be a quad core. I was really hoping to see 6 or 8 cores on that, like 4P + 2E or something would have been killer.
I'm not much of a overlock guy, but i ain't gonna lie i slightly prefer having that door open just in case, so what do you think i should pick up this one or the tomahawk ? do they differ much in features ?
Nick you always kill it with those cinematics man ✨ I had one doubt Nick i.e would you recommend this board or b660m mortar for 13600k? With ak620 cooler Usage:gonna run at stock but it won't be a problem right? If it's running at 100% load for long hours. Because people say it's temperature might run hotter if used in these boards compare to z boards
It should run fine either way. If you won't be overclocking, you don't need a board that facilitates it. It's very nice to have, but if you won't use it, don't pay for it. Actual performance between boards is functionally the same, it's really about features. Go for what has the features you want at the lowest price
I got this board and negative offset for undervolitng is sadly limitted to 50mV in bios. But you can use CPU light load mode the lower number the mode the less voltage/power for the CPU. I keep mine on mode 3 and I get arround 52-56C temps when playing games in 4k. That said you will loose a lot of performance in something like Cinebench R23 benchmark, but who cares if games are butter smooth and cpu stays at good temps.

No, Intel didn't make the same mistake they did with 12th gen when they gave the microcode of the cpus to the MB manufacturers.

Hey man! Thanks for the video! I know it's an older one but i was wondering is the non-wifi version also able to overclock?
With the mobo prices these days, including only one SATA cable is just low.
I'm hoping you get to look at a board more suited for budget 13400 CPU. This board is clearly designed for the 13600k etc.

Yes
