I bought dispite Matt's review. Perfect ride for around town (Zurich) comes alive in the Alps in the snow. ...and sounds awsome (RSQ3 Black Ed), a head turner. Matt: Maybe its overkill for the UK supermarket run & M1 carpark!
Haldex isnt that bad. There are videos which are showing it in comparison with the standard quattro in the a4 and it was a lot better at acceleration at wet, frozen and dirty condition. Another Advantage is the fuel save by cruising at decent pace at the autobahn cause it drives in front wheel Mode. It can switch faster than you need to all wheel Mode.

But as a petrolhead, few years ago I was interested about the different types of AWD and I spent dozen of hours searching information. Here is another explanation (not from me this time): "The Haldex is obviously only FWD until the ECU deems necessary. While offering an advantage in efficiency while cruising, this means that you will experience a faintly noticeable delay in power being transferred to the rear; I can only say that about my own car, though. The newer generations of the Haldex system have been designed to be proactive rather than reactive in nature and the torque transfer is not detectable at all. They also offer the ability to transfer nearly 100% of all torque to the rear wheels in the event of serious slip/throttle application. Haldex AWD is also "fully mechanical" just not "full-time"."
Im pretty sure that is an editing mistake - the editor wanted to show the rev-counter, but there's obviously nobody filming it at the time he is revving it so he used footage from another part of the review - it just happened to be in comfort mode then.
it's becoming a habit, matt keeps making this stupid mistake with his reviews. a different guy in a review, showing different interiors of cars and now this he showed o skoda milage readings instead of audis.
You're saying that as if the reason isn't that people are buying them. It's a cycle. People buy SUVs -> companies produce more SUVs -> people buy more SUVs. Regular everyday people enjoy the raised driving position and raised luggage space because most people have back and/or joint problems at some point in their lives, therefore it's nicer to not have to drop down into your car or bend down to load shoppings.
This man satisfies the need I have for a British man to talk to me about cars. It was a gap in my life left open by top gear/grand tour. Now he just needs a couple cohosts so they can mess with each other. I’d watch that.

Could you make a direct comaprison of breaking distance of two similiar cars one with carbon ceramic brakes and one with normal ones?. It may be quite interesting to see the diffrence on the dry surface as well as during a heavy rain
I mostly agree with it, which is the best part about videos like this is my idea of a good car differs from other people and that's ok. I own a 2018 Audi S3, fully optioned, and love it. That made me consider a RSQ3 for more room but I think after watching this I'll see about a hot wagon or just a bigger car. Thanks!
Drive one for a week, you'll see the point, providing you own a dog, maybe a kid or two or live in a climate where weather can change frequently. I have a sports car for the weekends and a GLC 63 AMG for my daily. I never thought I'd get an SUV, but after owning it for a while, I enjoy it and it's versatility.

Когда есть возможность, будучи пассажиром, ехать сзади и по центру, имея подголовник, если нужен для "ловли башни", в целом, это место не хуже по безопасности, тот же ремень безопасности полноценный (трехточечный, а может даже с преднатяжителем и ограничителем усилия), то наверное стоит сесть туда (причина для безопасности), упереться руками в сидушку, сумку или что-то по сторонам, если что, хотя бы с той стороны, где на плече нет ремня (если вдвоём по краям, то в подлокотник или что-то по центру).
За водителем, в теории, если он максимально бдителен и пытается избежать бокового удара, особенно на перекрёстках, а не побыстрее тронуться или проскочить на красный, в чём-то лучше тем, что он сам с той стороны сидит и легче тот бок контролировать.
Ещё момент с встречкой, когда оба уворачиваются типа, но на одну обочину, иногда может наоборот стоит самому чуть на встречку оттормаживаться, ну и если подставлять, то углы, где фары, процентов 40, а не всю морду, если скорость при ударе 60+60 например, т.е. в неких краш-тестовых пределах, если же 150 в стену для примера, то может всю морду тогда уж, а то свою или пассажира часть подставишь, а авто не сможет "поглотить"...
Если в беспонтовом (по безопасности) авто ездить в специализированном (с подачей воздуха) или мотоциклетном шлеме, с защитой зрения в том числе, то кому-то оно может и смешно, но если управлению явно не препятствует, а безопасность повышает (причина), то смейтесь как бы, если ума, знаний дефицит и не способны иначе, по вероубеждениям чей тоже, мусульмане (настоящие) - это едва ли "масс-маркет", наверное никогда, со времён даже расцвета исляма на пике, их не было большинство, а уж к концу и подавно вроде, гураба же, если я прав, чуждые (за правильность не ручаюсь):

Haldex isnt that bad. There are videos which are showing it in comparison with the standard quattro in the a4 and it was a lot better at acceleration at wet, frozen and dirty condition. Another Advantage is the fuel save by cruising at decent pace at the autobahn cause it drives in front wheel Mode. It can switch faster than you need to all wheel Mode.

Here is another explanation (not from me this time):
"The Haldex is obviously only FWD until the ECU deems necessary. While offering an advantage in efficiency while cruising, this means that you will experience a faintly noticeable delay in power being transferred to the rear; I can only say that about my own car, though. The newer generations of the Haldex system have been designed to be proactive rather than reactive in nature and the torque transfer is not detectable at all. They also offer the ability to transfer nearly 100% of all torque to the rear wheels in the event of serious slip/throttle application. Haldex AWD is also "fully mechanical" just not "full-time"."

Im pretty sure that is an editing mistake - the editor wanted to show the rev-counter, but there's obviously nobody filming it at the time he is revving it so he used footage from another part of the review - it just happened to be in comfort mode then.

You're saying that as if the reason isn't that people are buying them. It's a cycle. People buy SUVs -> companies produce more SUVs -> people buy more SUVs. Regular everyday people enjoy the raised driving position and raised luggage space because most people have back and/or joint problems at some point in their lives, therefore it's nicer to not have to drop down into your car or bend down to load shoppings.
When I'm fat and old I might consider buying a SUV. Before that NEVER.

I mostly agree with it, which is the best part about videos like this is my idea of a good car differs from other people and that's ok. I own a 2018 Audi S3, fully optioned, and love it. That made me consider a RSQ3 for more room but I think after watching this I'll see about a hot wagon or just a bigger car. Thanks!

Ground clearance matters here.
Drive one for a week, you'll see the point, providing you own a dog, maybe a kid or two or live in a climate where weather can change frequently. I have a sports car for the weekends and a GLC 63 AMG for my daily. I never thought I'd get an SUV, but after owning it for a while, I enjoy it and it's versatility.

Hold the tcs button until it turns fully off, then the soft limiter disappears.
