I'm new to gardening and what I've learned is people really hate weeds. But I don't know why when they are nothing more than food and Medicine. Also birds and insects rely on those wildflowers for food and shelter. The "weeds"were here before me and you and are definitely a part of our ecosystem. When you pull a weed you're pulling somethings food and shelter away from them

Thanks for the comment! Such a good point! I agree and would even take it a step further, the only thing that makes something a 'weed' is the fact you don't want it growing there such as purslane or dandelions, which both are actually wonderful! I pull weeds in my raised garden beds to make sure the intended plants don't have to compete for nutrients or water, etc.. To your point on others relying on 'weeds', these days I don't even try to get rid of clover in my yard. I used to despise this until I realized that it has the highest attraction to pollinators probably in my backyard. Thanks again for the comment and happy week ahead!
