VERY interesting idea! SS United States Did snatch Queen Mary's "Blue Riband", though they weren't "racing" at the time. It would be unique to see them both digitally portrayed as if they were, though.
I know which one will win SS United States is the fastest ship in the whole universe. It had a top speed I believe about 40.50 knots she beat the queen Mary before it arrived I believe a couple days earlier than queen Mary but I wish I could visit the queen Mary in person

The Queen Mary would of had a lot to prove when the Rms Olympic and Rms Mauritania were finally scrapped in 1935, but she sure did fit those shoes that many ocean liners wore before her. She was a worthy replacement and a fine ship, long live the Queen Mary, may she be with us for generations to come.

She's been here in California for a long time. My Mom is 50 and she even remembers when her dad took her to the Queen Mary when she was 9.

How bout a race between RMS Queen Mary vs HMHS Britannic
That "race" would have been QM's from the start. Britannic's TOP speed was 26 knots, but QM'S cruising speed was 28 knots (top speed 33).
White Star Line knew its liners didn't have the speed of Cunard's, so concentrated on opulence instead.

Several years ago I was on a history tour of the ship, the guide explained that once in high seas, QM rolled to 45 degrees; 1 more and she would have capsized. Director Irwin Allen was aboard, & this event gave him the idea for The Poseidon Adventure, with a model of the retired Queen for his victimized vessel.
