- Wendi Adelson, the ex-wife of the murdered Florida college professor Dan Markel, takes the stand and testifies in her brother’s murder trial October 26th-27th. Wendi Adelson eventually decided to end her marriage with her ex-husband, causing some tension when it came to the custody of their children. When the couple split, brother Charlie Adelson made a joke that getting Wendi a TV was cheaper than hiring hitmen. Prosecutors believe that Charlie Adelson hired multiple hitmen to murder Markel in order to regain custody of the kids they shared.

(On which they never seem to correct her.) Her act is so tired, i hope the jury sees through it.

It really bothered me that Georgia did not go harder on Wendy regarding Wendy saying that her lawyer advised her not to look at anything not to read anything not to listen to anything... Even with her parents.. I mean give me a flipping break! This was a close-knit family who gossiped about each other's lives constantly.... They most definitely definitely talked about this murder with each other in the almost 10 years since the murder 😮
Wendi lied when she said she talked to Danny that morning on the 18th. They supposedly fought over him wanting to take the boys swimming that day. I thought he called her and she didn’t take the call. She returned the call after he was killed. Roshbaum then says to her “you didn’t talk to Charlie that day right?” She says no. She did too! She called him to ask if the tv was worth fixing.
Am I wrong?? I don’t think so. .

i know she has insulated herself more than other family members - probably by design, but I still wish if they convict her brother that the state will take a stab at going after wendi even if they are unsuccessful in the end - just putting her through the misery of a year in jail awaiting trial would be some level of justice and give the Markel's a true gift in this sad tragedy

@auburn1159 I followed the case for years and I think is difficult to find evidence against her, I think she knew, maybe not the exact day or who but she knew, buuut you need to prove with clear evidence to convict her so she may never be in prison.

The ‘bump’ always seemed strange to me. A complete stranger approaches you in the street implicates that you are involved in a murder then hands you a piece of paper and you just calmly place it in your handbag and walk away. If you had no knowledge of what the guy was talking about wouldn’t you read what’s on the paper immediately. I know I would. But she just tucks it away. This is very telling behavior that the prosecution should be picking up on.
An innocent person would take his photo then immediately take the note and hand the note and photo over to the local police.
Instead, she called Charlie, who later talked about it with Katie.

This is the only time she speaks with police even after they request she and her family. Never again until trials do we hear from her. Compare her trial testimony with the interview. Especially her drive down Trescott.

I also would like to know who the “friends” are that requested the Bullet Bourbon. Have they ever been interviewed? Did anyone track exactly where that email request came from? I have my doubts that these friends did not actually exist.
Also, I never heard her say she needed to call and cancel her babysitter even though she suggested calling the party host.

This predicament leaves me puzzled. Why on earth would Wendi offer-up/suggest her family members. She's killin' me!
Stating the obvious, this is perfect defense for her. She knew after the murder she would be questioned by police and this was her well thought out reaction and every word she spoke in interrogation was only to help her to look innocent. She is still playing this game and it has been working in her favor as we see in this trial and all the others. She even made the suggestion to the detective stating, "could someone be doing this to help me?"
