- Wendi Adelson, the ex-wife of murdered FSU professor Dan Markel, testified in her brother’s murder trial Thursday. Wendi Adelson said her relationship with rocky with Markel and she ultimately chose to end their marriage. She testified that Charlie Adelson never mentioned hiring a hitman to her specifically and if he ever did make such a statement, it was as a joke. Prosecutors believe Charlie Adelson recruited three people to kill Markel so Wendi Adelson could have full custody of the children they had together.

This woman doesn’t even have to change sentences to lie. It’s not a criticism dude! 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a clear observation. He was admired so much for being a genius and she was pampered at home to believe she is the best. In Toronto he was and is known to be brilliant, kind and extremely polite. Now that he is no longer with us and can’t talk for himself… she lies to save her neck!

That isn't what she said. She said she did not know until she got to court that Charlie's defense was that he was making payments to Katie because he was being extorted by the Latin Kings . I think she at some point found out that her brother may be involved but I do not think she was part of the plan. I think her mom orchestrated it and got Charlie to carry it out.

The fact that the surrogates they hired to conduct the murders are in jail, yet they have been living free for many years after the murder is sickening. Jeff Lacasse has been maybe the MOST credible witness (at least for me) in this whole thing. My point is, this woman has a way of twisting the narrative to benefit her time and place. She’s dating a new guy and her ex husband is fired. She testifies in a juried trial and he didn’t get the job. Can’t be both, sweet Wendi. And that’s the problem.
