I think our Lord has directed many of us to Mr. Wes Huff. Too many doctrines of demons out there. Especially, at this moment in time. It can become very confusing to learn about Christianity, when so many "teach" out of their own pride. This channel is a priceless resource. At least for me. It would take years or decades for me to learn what Mr. Huff has taught me in hours. Thank you for a TRUE resource... God bless..❤

      Why Christ’s Revealed Name
is Missing in the New Testament
What is the revealed name of Christ given for our salvation?
“Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, ‘Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of YAHSHUA the Messiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:8-12).
And He {Christ}, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side and YAHSHUA in the center. Now Pilate wrote a placard and put it on the cross. The writing was:
YESHUA OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS
Iesous of Nazareth, the King of the Jews
Iesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.
Then many of the Jews read this name and title, for the place where YAHSHUA was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.’”
Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written” (From John 19:17-22).
Pontius Pilate was the fifth governor of the Roman province of Judea, serving under Emperor Tiberius. Pilate is best known for being the official who presided over the trial of YAHSHUA and ultimately ordered His crucifixion. He was the first to use false names for Christ, namely Iesus (Latin) and Iesous (Greek). However, according to the apostle Peter’s testimony, empowered by the Holy Spirit, “there is no other name.”
History proves that the name of Jesus was only known in the late 17th century AD. Historian Ernest Renan acknowledges that Christ was never in His lifetime known as “Jesus” (Ernest Renan, The Life of Jesus, p. 90). The name Jehovah is a hybrid name that came into existence around the 13th century. The so-called Tetragrammaton (fancy name for the four letters) of God’s actual name are the consonants of YHWH (in Hebrew יהוה). The Hebrew letters are Yod, Hey, Waw, Hey (YHWH). ketiv-qere (Aramaic for “what is written/what is said”) by which they would insert the vowels of the word to be read aloud (qere) with the consonants of YHWH (ketiv), arbitrarily creating a false hybrid form, such as Jehovah with the vowels of the word Eloah (Hebrew for God). And depending on the vowels used, different forms of the name resulted, Yehovah, Yahweh, and also Yehovih. YHWH with the vowels of different words, such as Adonai, Eloah, and Elohim, which were to be read aloud by the readers in the synagogues, as the Jews wanted to hide the name of God from the Gentiles for fear that they would profane the name of God. These names, Jehovah, Yahweh, or Jehovih, were never considered to be legitimate. JHVH with the vowels of Eloah [e-o-a], which caused the false hybrid name Jehovah, or Yehovah. YHWH (ketiv) with the vowels of Adonai (qere) caused Yahowiah, later shortened to Yahweh. Yahweh is considered the most accurate because of YAH, as in Halleluyah, Praise YAH. The vowels from Elohim added to YHWH caused YeHoWiH (see Strong’s Dictionary of Bible Words #3069).
Hebrew names have meanings, for example, the name Abraham has a compound meaning, “Ab” means Father, and “raham” means multitude, hence Abraham means “father of a multitude.” Jehovah also has a meaning, “Je”, comes from the French, as in the letter ‘i’, and “hovah” in Hebrew means “ruin, mischief, and calamity”, (see Strong’s #1942 ޗ).
      The name Jesus is (French/Latin)
      The name Iesus is (Latin)
      The name Iesous is (Greek)
      The name Yeshua is (Aramaic)
None of the above names were revealed from Heaven, therefore, the apostle Peter did not testify to any of these names. Names that came about through linguistic evolution, or by the tongue of man, must be understood to be false names, as they were never revealed by God.
How do we find the revealed name given by God for our salvation?
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18). There is a revealed name given whereby we must be saved. If we do not believe in this name, we are condemned already. So we must know this name.
Moses asks God for His name
13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “HaYAH Ashar HaYAH”[that is, “I AM WHO I AM.”] And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM {YAH} has sent me to you.’ ” 15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The YAHAVAH God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations’” (Exodus 3:13-15). HaYAH means “the I AM.” YAH appears close to 50 times in the Bible, mainly in Hebrew. Havah means “to be.” Therefore, the meaning of God’s true name is “I AM Everpresent.” Therefore the proper way to say “praise YAH” is “Halleluyah,” not hallelujah. Jah, Yeh, or Jeh are false.
YAH is “the name which is above every name.”
But God has many names, right?
No, however, He has many descriptive names like El Shaddai and Immanuel, but only one personal name {YAH}. 2 And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord [YAH]. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty [El Shaddai], but by My name Lord [YAH], I was not known to them (Exodus 6:2-3).
Does the New Testament identify YAH?
The Savior identified Himself as God when He said, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58). Christ told the people that He is YAH, that is their God.
The apostle Paul heard the name which is above every name as part of the Savior’s name on the road to Damascus. 12 “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am YAHSHUA, whom you are persecuting’” (Acts 26:12-15). The name Jesus is not Hebrew, nor did this name exist until the late 17th century, therefore, Christ never told Saul, later called Paul, the name “Jesus.”
YAH, “the name which is above every name.” 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
      Halleluyah, Praise YAH, Praise YAHSHUA!

In the Nahal Haver fragments - which are the oldest portions of the Septuagint yet discovered - they left spaces among the Greek and later went back to fill in the divine name in paleo Hebrew.
So there was a transitional period where the Hebrew name was preserved with the Greek Scriptures.

Think also of names like Eli-jah (אֵלִיָּהוּ‎, - meaning "God is Yahweh or Jerem-yah (יִרְמְיָהוּ - meaning Yahweh will rise). However, these types of compound words including "yah" are not considered a formal use of the tetragrammaton. A word like Hallelujah (either transliterated as Ἁλληλουϊάn in Greek, Hallelujah in English or as הַלְלוּ) for a pious orthodox Jew - either ancient or modern - would still not consider this a formal use of the divine name and so therefore, while they wouldn't say the divine name out loud they would have no reservations about saying a word like הַלְלוּ.

Jesus is the name given above all others to us(that should tell us something), and whether it is Jesus or Yeshua, there is little debate even among the great scholars that both are correct.

The Divine Name in the Hebrew Scriptures
    Early Hebrew Tetragrammaton
The divine name in the ancient Hebrew letters used before the Babylonian exile
    Later Hebrew Tetragrammaton
The divine name in the Hebrew letters used after the Babylonian exile
The divine name, represented by the four Hebrew consonants יהוה, appears nearly 7,000 times in the Hebrew Scriptures. This translation renders those four letters, known as the Tetragrammaton, “Jehovah.” That name is by far the most frequently occurring name in the Bible. While the inspired writers refer to God by many titles and descriptive terms, such as “Almighty,” “Most High,” and “Lord,” the Tetragrammaton is the only personal name they use to identify God.
Jehovah God himself directed Bible writers to use his name. For example, he inspired the prophet Joel to write: “Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” (Joel 2:32) And God caused one psalmist to write: “May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18) In fact, the divine name appears some 700 times in the book of Psalms alone-a book of poetic writings that were to be sung and recited by God’s people. Why, then, is God’s name missing from many Bible translations? Why does this translation use the form “Jehovah”? And what does the divine name, Jehovah, mean?
The Tetragrammaton appearing repeatedly in Psalms
Excerpts from the Psalms in a Dead Sea Scroll dated to the first half of the first century C.E. The text is in the style of the Hebrew letters commonly used after the Babylonian exile, but the Tetragrammaton appears repeatedly in distinctive ancient Hebrew letters
Why is the name missing from many Bible translations? The reasons vary. Some feel that Almighty God does not need a unique name to identify him. Others appear to have been influenced by the Jewish tradition of avoiding the use of the name, perhaps out of fear of desecrating it. Still others believe that since no one can be sure of the exact pronunciation of God’s name, it is better just to use a title, such as “Lord” or “God.” Such objections, however, lack merit for the following reasons:
Those who argue that Almighty God does not need a unique name ignore evidence that early copies of his Word, including those preserved from before the time of Christ, contain God’s personal name. As noted above, God directed that his name be included in his Word some 7,000 times. Obviously, he wants us to know and use his name.
Translators who remove the name out of deference to Jewish tradition fail to recognize a key fact. While some Jewish scribes refused to pronounce the name, they did not remove it from their copies of the Bible. Ancient scrolls found in Qumran, near the Dead Sea, contain the name in many places. Some Bible translators hint that the divine name appeared in the original text by substituting the title “LORD” in capital letters. But the question remains, Why have these translators felt free to substitute or remove God’s name from the Bible when they acknowledge that it is found in the Bible text thousands of times? Who do they believe gave them authority to make such a change? Only they can say.
Those who say that the divine name should not be used because it is not known exactly how to pronounce it will nevertheless freely use the name Jesus. However, Jesus’ first-century disciples said his name quite differently from the way most Christians do today. To Jewish Christians, the name Jesus was probably pronounced Ye·shuʹa‛. And the title “Christ” was Ma·shiʹach, or “Messiah.” Greek-speaking Christians called him I·e·sousʹ Khri·stosʹ, and Latin-speaking Christians Ieʹsus Chriʹstus. Under inspiration, the Greek translation of his name was recorded in the Bible, showing that first-century Christians followed the sensible course of using the form of the name common in their language. Similarly, the New World Bible Translation Committee feels that it is reasonable to use the form “Jehovah,” even though that rendering is not exactly the way the divine name would have been pronounced in ancient Hebrew.
Why does the New World Translation use the form “Jehovah”? In English, the four letters of the Tetragrammaton (יהוה) are represented by the consonants YHWH. As was true of all written words in ancient Hebrew, the Tetragrammaton contained no vowels. When ancient Hebrew was in everyday use, readers easily provided the appropriate vowels.
About a thousand years after the Hebrew Scriptures were completed, Jewish scholars developed a system of pronunciation points, or signs, by which to indicate what vowels to use when reading Hebrew. By that time, though, many Jews had the superstitious idea that it was wrong to say God’s personal name out loud, so they used substitute expressions. Thus, it seems that when they copied the Tetragrammaton, they combined the vowels for the substitute expressions with the four consonants representing the divine name. Therefore, the manuscripts with those vowel points do not help in determining how the name was originally pronounced in Hebrew. Some feel that the name was pronounced “Yahweh,” whereas others suggest different possibilities. A Dead Sea Scroll containing a portion of Leviticus in Greek transliterates the divine name Iao. Besides that form, early Greek writers also suggest the pronunciations Iae, I·a·beʹ, and I·a·ou·eʹ. However, there is no reason to be dogmatic. We simply do not know how God’s ancient servants pronounced this name in Hebrew. (Genesis 13:4; Exodus 3:15) What we do know is that God used his name repeatedly in communication with his people, that they addressed him by that name, and that they used it freely in speaking with others.-Exodus 6:2; 1 Kings 8:23; Psalm 99:9.
Why, then, does this translation use the form “Jehovah”? Because that form of the divine name has a long history in the English language.
    The divine name Jehovah
God’s name at Genesis 15:2 in William Tyndale’s translation of the Pentateuch, 1530
The first rendering of God’s personal name in an English Bible appeared in 1530 in William Tyndale’s translation of the Pentateuch. He used the form “Iehouah.” Over time, the English language changed, and the spelling of the divine name was modernized. For example, in 1612, Henry Ainsworth used the form “Iehovah” throughout his translation of the book of Psalms. Then, in 1639, when that work was revised and printed with the Pentateuch, the form “Jehovah” was used. In 1901, the translators who produced the American Standard Version of the Bible used the form “Jehovah” where the divine name appeared in the Hebrew text.
Explaining why he used “Jehovah” instead of “Yahweh” in his 1911 work Studies in the Psalms, respected Bible scholar Joseph Bryant Rotherham said that he wanted to employ a “form of the name more familiar (while perfectly acceptable) to the general Bible-reading public.” In 1930 scholar A. F. Kirkpatrick made a similar point regarding the use of the form “Jehovah.” He said: “Modern grammarians argue that it ought to be read Yahveh or Yahaveh; but JEHOVAH seems firmly rooted in the English language, and the really important point is not the exact pronunciation, but the recognition that it is a Proper Name, not merely an appellative title like ‘Lord.’”
    The Tetragrammaton
The Tetragrammaton, YHWH: “He Causes to Become”
Hebrew text for the verb “to become”
    The verb HWH: “to become”
What is the meaning of the name Jehovah? In Hebrew, the name Jehovah comes from a verb that means “to become,” and a number of scholars feel that it reflects the causative form of that Hebrew verb. Thus, the understanding of the New World Bible Translation Committee is that God’s name means “He Causes to Become.” Scholars hold varying views, so we cannot be dogmatic about this meaning. However, this definition well fits Jehovah’s role as the Creator of all things and the Fulfiller of his purpose. He not only caused the physical universe and intelligent beings to exist, but as events unfold, he continues to cause his will and purpose to be realized.
Therefore, the meaning of the name Jehovah is not limited to the related verb found at Exodus 3:14, which reads: “I Will Become What I Choose to Become” or, “I Will Prove to Be What I Will Prove to Be.” In the strictest sense, those words do not fully define God’s name. Rather, they reveal an aspect of God’s personality, showing that he becomes what is needed in each circumstance to fulfill his purpose. So while the name Jehovah may include this idea, it is not limited to what he himself chooses to become. It also includes what he causes to happen with regard to his creation and the accomplishment of his purpose.

Josephus told us his name is comprised of four vowels, approximately equal to Greek IAUE. Thus, his name is Yahweh or Yahuweh. Another witness from the 1st or 2nd century explained how to pronounce it, yielding something like ee-ah-oo-ey. Yahovah/Jehovah is the Kabbalistic rendering to keep the gentiles from using the sacred name. It comes directly from the scribal rules of transplanting the vowel of Adonai onto the "consonants" of the name (note that the matron laconis are vowels when used as vowels, and consonants only when used as consonants, contrary to popular belief). You can read Hebrew mss. and see that the vowels of Elohim are sometimes used when Adonai exists with YHWH so as not to double the word and cause unintended emphasis. The name also receives vowels from a third word I'm forgetting at the moment in certain situations, such as when Adonai and Elohim are both present with YHWH. There are also mss. where one of these borrowed vowels is dropped due to that generation's scribal rule to avoid making a monster name by violating their grammar rules and not placing a vowel everywhere there should be one, so you will see the vowels of Adonai, but they'll be missing one vowel. Justin at the YT channel Hebrew Gospels (they have a .org by the same name) has videos on this showing various Hebrew mss. and explaining all the grammatical and scribal rules I mention.

That is what I came to say. Josephus and your second witness are saying the same. Ee-eh-oo-eh. Four syllables however you say the vowels.

It’s interesting that many who reject the rendering “Jehovah” don’t apply the same logic to other names in the Bible. By such reasoning we are obligated to only use the orignal Hebrew pronunciation for all names in the Bible. We don’t even know how Jesus’ name was originally pronounced in Hebrew. For those who know another language,
They will recognise the rendering Jehovah is essentially a loanword adapted to the English language. The rendering also has a venerable history in English - the KJV uses it, it was ubiquitous in English society for centuries (for example, Scofield freely uses it and so does Spurgeon), and a lot of late 19th & early 20th century Bible translations use it. But Scholars have been making the illegitimate argument that the Divine Name had to be rendered LORD or they claimed it was only legitimate to use the original Hebrew pronunciation of the Name.

    • @WesHuff
      @WesHuff  2 года назад +5

But that's not what we're dealing with here. Jehovah is not merely a Germanic-Anglicized version of a Hebrew word, it's a word no ancient Jew would ever have pronounced. The Anglicized Hebrew is Yahweh. As I explain in the video, the divine name with the vowels of adoni was a visual tool to remind the reader to say "adoni" instead of uttering "Yahweh," the word "Yahowah" was never a real Hebrew word. Therefore arguing that we should be saying "Jehovah" because we also say "Jesus" misses the point of what Jehovah was designed to be to begin with.

    • @eliasarches2575
      @eliasarches2575 2 года назад +3

@@WesHuff you are right, no Jew would’ve pronounced the divine name in the form “Jehovah”. No serious person makes this claim. I’m a little confused though, are you saying the divine name in Hebrew (however it was pronounced) was not a real word? Is it then your belief that Jews never pronounced the divine name? The name occurs over 6,000 times on the Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus constantly refers to the divine name also (there’s Also a verse in the NT which says: “All who call on the NAME of the Lord shall be saved” (note that Lord isn’t a name), etc). the internal biblical evidence indicates that the divine name most certainly was used (by Jesus and the 1st century Christians) and thus substituting it for Adonai was a later tradition. Most Bible translators blaspheme against God because they change God’s word to reflect a mistaken Jewish tradition of substituting the Name of God for Adonai or LORD. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood you, I just don’t understand the opposition to God’s name but not against any other anglicised name in the Bible. It just seems disrespectful to God to argue against the use of his name.

@@Drdoofenshmirts you are right, the precise original pronunciation of Jesus’ name is not important. Even if it was no one knows for sure the original pronunciation. The same is true of the Divine Name, whether it is Yahweh or Jehovah - God’s name occurs almost 7,000 times in the Hebrew Scriptures, there’s no doubt it is important to know and use God’s name (however it is rendered in one’s own language). It is wicked to substitute and obscure it with the title “Lord”.

"Thus says The Lord God: Whom shall I send? Who will go for Me? There is no more time to tarry. The day is far spent, and the sun is setting upon this age of men.
Husbandmen, go out and gather. For the wheat is already bundled, and who is able to loose it? Neither man nor beast is able; behold, nothing in all creation is able to separate that which The Lord has bound together. Therefore, My sons, go out and gather up the remnant, even every last grain which has fallen to the ground. Gather it up quickly before the storm comes, where the winds shall blow, the hail shall beat down, and the rains shall overflow, erode and wash away.
Behold, the field shall be left in ruins, in much disarray, unrecognizable to those who look upon it. And what of that which is left? Will not the birds of the air come and consume, and the beasts of the field devour, until nothing of the crop remains? For the time has indeed come for The Lord to stretch out His hand against the wicked, for The God of Heaven to visit the earth.
Behold, I shall visit in My wrath and come like a storm! And as a great whirlwind of fire, I shall consume all this wickedness from the face of the earth! For the nations have raged against Me, and the people refuse to give glory to My name. Yet of sin, this they uphold! Thus they shall perish with much shouting, when I cause the earth to rise up and fight against them, until deep and heavy silence covers them and their wickedness is no more before My face!
Behold, even in these lands, you call California and Nevada, shall it begin. For they have become as a great river, A RIVER OF SIN, an unending source of abominations, murder and licentiousness! Even that which Sodom and Gomorrah had done pales compared with that brought forth of them!
    Therefore, My servants,
    BLOW THIS TRUMPET!...
Shout to the masses, by all
    Manner of speaking and devices!...
For you hold The Key to Salvation in your hearts,
And there He is within your understanding...
    SHOUT HIS NAME!"

"LIFE HAS A NAME! The Beginning and The End has walked among you! The Source and The Reason is here, and shall also come in great power and glory! From Him did you come forth, and to Him must you return, all you, His beloved. Behold, His names are many and wonderful![1] That which He is has no end, for as I AM so also is He! The Father and The Son are one, and our name, one - YAHUSHUA-YAHUWAH!
In the beginning was The Word, and The Word
    Was with God, and The Word was God;
The same was in the beginning with God...
Through Him all things came into being,
And nothing in all creation was made apart from Him...
    In Him was life, and The Life was the light of men;
The Light shines in the darkness,
And the darkness shall not overcome it...
And behold, The Word became flesh...
    Immanu El!"
    ~
"Behold, even the whole of creation shouts,
    “YAHUSHUA is YAHUWAH!”

📑 With the decay of the Hebrew language at times and the absence of the Torah at other times during the lives of the ancient generations of Jews, that absence during the intermittent periods of the distant past led to the loss of the Hebrew memory of the vowels connecting the entire written language not only the name of God, which led to moving forward in the restoration of Hebrew based on the local languages that The Jews lived among in the past like Aramaic, then the Latin languages later, which led to confussion and then to the separation of Hebrew from the Semitic languages and its acquisition of a completely different context, dominated by a Western character.
📑 It is inappropriate to judge it yourself that the Creator is without a certain name, leaving His name to humans, for the name of the Great Creator is what He calls Himself with and grants It His sanctity by Himself.
📑 The word YHVH is not a name known for God as it is promoted, but rather a title of deity (YHVH=LORD) OR (GOD) and nothing more.
You do not realize that Ezra conveyed to the Jews the idea that 'Elohim is God' by teaching them that (Elohim is YHVH) and of course the Jews understood at that time what Ezra didn't mean at all , unfortunately they interpreted this asif the word YHVH is a new and better name for Elohim, so it can be attributed to the Jews own God rather than to God Himself.
When Moses was addressed by Elohim, he did not say that he was another God, or that he had replaced His personal Name with a new Name. Rather, the Jews interpreted the words of Elohim in order to be understood so .
It is self-evident that the Creator says to Moses:
☝ Iam the Lord your God.
      (אני אלהים יהוה שלך.)
I am the God your Lord.
      (אני האלוהים אדונכם.)
📑 In order to know where the derivation of the title (YHVH) came from, you only need to return to the Hebrew phrase that can cause this problem, something like(The Lord is Elohim/ God is God.) or(אלוהים הוא ה’ 0 ) and to read it from left to right in contrast to reading the Hebrew language to realize how the problem occurred between the Jews of that time with Ezra.

How is יהוה vowel pointed with the vowel points of אדני when you clearly showed at 1:32 that the first vowel point of יהוה is a shva which makes an “e” sound and then you showed at 2:34 that the first vowel point of אדני is a ḥaṭaf pataḥ which makes an “a” sound. What are you taking about “if you were to pronounce it out loud, it would give you a word ‘Yahowah?’” when you already showed “יְהֹוָה,” with a shva meaning if you were to pronounce it out loud it would be pronounced “Yehovah?” How do you get around the fact that יְהֹוָה and אֲדֹנָי clearly have different vowel points, namely the former begins with a shva and the latter a ḥaṭaf pataḥ, and it’s clearly shown in English as well that the vowels of “Jehovah” and “Adonai” don’t match. E does not equal A. How do you get around that?

Lord is where the text in the Hebrew is Anonai. LORD is where it says says Yahweh in Hebrew. It carries over the tradition of the early Jews so that the name isn't disrespected. God is a translation of Elohim and GOD just means Yahweh again, usually used when both Anonai and Yahweh are after each other, so instead of saying Lord LORD they translate it as Lord GOD.

ISLAMIC CHRISTIANITY VS. CATHOLIC CHRISTIANITY: The Two Sides Of The Same Coin
The Gospel in the Roman Canon means "Good News" of the birth of the New Emperor and sole owner of the Empire even Jesus as the Jewish Messiah(KING).
This is the kind of proclamation made throughout the Roman Empire when a New Caeasar(Emperor) was born.
This is how Paul sets the context in all his epistles. Paul was given the Roman Empire as a gift from God, of course by grace. Let's not forget he was a Roman citizen; his letters to his heirs were a nod to the Roman Law and Legal system since the state was still in business and taking up arms to overthrow the government was unrealistic on one hand. On another hand the Roman Magistrates would never want to enforce Moses' penal law consisting of death by stoning.
In the case of a clash of two legal systems, the Roman Law was the law of the land. "Government was ordained on earth by God to punish crimes and keep order," he later wrote to the Romans.
So Paul had no other choice but to defer to the abstract, such as grace and faith, in order to evade scrutiny from Caesar...
Alas, he was still beheaded for subversion of the Roman Power. But he didn't work in vain as Caesar Augustus lost his status which the Roman Senate conferred to him as "son of God," and Sole ruler of mankind, the Imperial Cult dwindled and Jesus enthroned as the Messiah(HaMashiach)Christ, the Sole Ruler of Mankind, and the only Son of God over the Roman Dominions. Thus, the Jewish HaMashiach(Christ) conquered the Roman Conquerors!
RELIGION AS A POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY !
By reverting to Moses Law as Islam did, Islam not only rejects Paul's love story with the Cross which appears to be the symbol of Roman Penal Law, but the extra-territoriality of Roman legislations. The point being Jesus is Muhammad as Muhammad throughout the 114 Surahs is used as a substitute for Messiah or Christos in Greek If you would; Jesus being said to be the Messiah, then Jesus is Muhammad. Which takes us back to Deuteronomy 18:15-19 where Messiah(Al-Massih) is described as a Prophet in the likeness of Moses, as Peter, Stephen, Paul, Luke, etc, put it.
      Does anyone see EQUILLIBRIUM here?

More to the point Nowhere Paul stated Jesus was God's Son but instead Jesus-HaMashiach(Christ) was the Son Of God.
So somebody must be lying ! The Text which we have actually seems to have been tempered with...to validate Trinity.
Bear in mind, the Son in Trinity is not the same as the Son in Incarnation.

Vowels cannot be added to YHWH using the rules of the Hebrew it was written in. This made the name of God unpronounceable. Therefore, the Jews would use Hashem (The Name) or Adonai (My Lord). Yahweh, Jehovah, etc., are names created by adding our vowels to the consonants YHWH. This gives us transliterations of YHWH, not a translation. We don't know God's name because it was never given.

Well its obviously not the vowels of Adonai.Have you looked. My tanach the hebrew actually spells Jehovah (with a Y) without the vowels for adonai.I know The tettagramatton only spells it as JeHoVaH 50 times as in most of the other occasions the cholam (O sound) is missing. But thats 50 times more than Yhwh which isn,t spelled once. You really have to examine the vowels first before you make these assumptions. The first vowel of Jehovah is a sh'va (short eh) the first vowel of Adonai is a chataf patach short A sound ? if in doubt please check Genesis 3.14 it very clearly says Jehovah or Jehowah depending on how you want to pronounce the Vah or Wah either way its clear to read.sh'va cholam kamatz יְהוָֹה Please note its a Y not J i did not want to write the full name.Shalom

I disagree. When it comes to the first vowel sounds for "YH," then the pronunciation is largely a mystery. The Moabite Stone does provide some indication that this was pronounced "Yah" (as in "Yahweh" -- even if the pronunciation of the "WH" isn't known). The divine Name doesn't appear in the New Testament....except when an addendum suffix part of a name (e.g., "Elijah," "Jeremiah," etc.). However, there is one set of passages with word usage in the New Testament that is attributable to the divine Name.
In Revelation chapter 19, John writes that he hears the word "Hallelujah" four times. This is very important in this context because, as a Jew in the first century, John the apostle knew both Hebrew and Greek (and wrote Revelation in Greek). AT the time, certain Hebrew words that were untranslated were often phonetic renderings of the Hebrew. This is the case for "Hallelujah." It is literally "ἁλληλουϊά" (i.e., "hallēlouia") in Greek as a phonetic rendering of the Hebrew phrase "יָהּ הָלַל" (i.e., "hālal yâ").
In Hebrew, this translates to "you praise Yah" (as an imperative). In this passage, John wrote it out phonetically in Greek as "hallēlouia" -- and it retained the phonetic rendering no matter the language that it was translated into. The Greek phonetic pronunciation has remained unchanged; and, that phonetic rendering for the YH (the shortened form of YHWH) is "Yah."
While I don't know the second vowel pronunciation, I strongly feel that the first renders properly as "Yah" given the phonetic rendering of "Hallelujah" by John (a Jew) in the first century. This indicates that this was an understood rendering handed down at least in Israel during the first century.

English speaking people translate God's name into English, obviously. No effort is made to speak the other names in the Bible in the ancient Hebrew so why should we only apply this logic to God's name and nowhere else? We have to be consistent. We don't use adonai either because it's a Hebrew word that would mean nothing to someone not speaking Hebrew.
The reasoning that the German translation was "germanized" is hilarious, of course it was, they are translating it to German.
Languages derive from one another so you've always got this happening, it's not a problem just speak your language. If you desire to speak ancient Hebrew then feel free but to argue that only a single name cannot be translated into a different language when you're fine with all the other names being translated is illogical and frankly kind of silly.
I speak English and God's name in English is historically Jehovah.

    • @WesHuff
      @WesHuff  2 года назад +1

The difference here is that words like “Jesus” and “James” are Anglicized/Germanicized versions of Hebrew words. “Jehovah” on the other hand is not. It’s a transliteration of a visual word key that Hebrew scribes inserted within the text (specifically through the means, although not limited to it, of vowel pointing) to remind the reader not to say the divine name out loud but replace it with an entirely different word. If you wanted the Anglicized name of God it would simply be “Yahweh.”
I have no problem with people saying “Jehovah,” that’s totally fine and I recognize that there is a reasonable modern history behind it. However, it’s not analogous or comparative to the other Anglicized/Germanized words from the Bible that we translate or use - it’s in a separate and slightly more unusual category of its own.

We basically agree then, I don't have a problem with whichever one people want to use. I am curious though why is it "j" in all other cases and "y" only with God's name? Jesus and James are just the ones you mentioned.
      Jesus name means
      “Jehovah is salvation”
      Jehdéiah (“may Jah give joy”)
      Jebérechiah (“Jah blesses”)
      Jonathan (“Jehovah has given”)
      And so on.
It seems contradictory, the germanized version is good enough for other names but not for God's name? I'm genuinely curious, I know it's hard to tell online sometimes but I really don't want to argue.

    • @WesHuff
      @WesHuff  2 года назад +1

Unfortunately there's a very long linguistic/philological answer to that question that has to do with phonetics and pronunciation of languages over centuries. Basically the letter ‘j’ was adopted to denote a stressed "j" whose pronunciation had changed from the development of classical Latin. In the English it denotes the /ʤ/ phoneme. The pronunciation in English changed for something like "Jesus" from ‘ye:soos’ into ‘ʤe:soos’ in the 12th century due to Norman Old French / Old German influence, and into ‘ʤi:sus’ during the Great Vowel Shift (1400s - 1700s).
Is and Ys in Latin and Greek become J's in German over time and English is a Germanic language due to the Anglo-Saxon influence.

    Consider this:
Joshua is a shortened form of Jehoshua which contains a shortened version of God's name. Same with Jonathan which is actually Jehonathan in hebrew. Since Jesus' name is Jehoshua and the meaning of his name is "Jehova saves" (because Jesus is the ransom and through him Jehova saved us) it is logical to conclude that Jehova is indeed the right pronounciation.
Apart from all that. Even the fact that we say "JESUS" instead of his hebrew/aramaic name Jehoshua could also be considered wrong since it's not the original pronounciation. Still we use Jesus because we assume that everyone knows who is meant by this name. Same goes for God. A japanese person might for example say "Yesu" or "Ehoba". This whole discussion is actually void. The fact is that today there still exists the name Jehoshua and it points to the "Jehovah" pronounciation.
In 1. Timothy 6:3,4 we read : 3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited and understand nothing. *They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words* that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions
Our focus as christians should be how we can lead our lives to please Jehova and show gratitude for the sacrifice of his son through which we can be free from the curse of sin! First and foremost our focus should be loving Jehova and our fellow human. 2. Peter 3:18: 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
    5. Book of Moses 6:5 : And thou shalt love Jehova thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
    Greetings!

Well this is just not correct. It seems like a nice bible session, but as easily explained in thr video it is very different. Jehoshua has no direct relation to Jehova for the is no jehova. There is only Yahwe. The point is that the hebrew writing traditions influenced this process and when forgotten and missunderstood people tryed to make a mystery of it. But the sincere truth is it was just and only Yahwe.
But this is not really that important - it is more about seeking the face of the LORD and calling his name (Gen 4 and 2. Sam 21) ;)

Lord is different from the LORD.
      The LORD is actually Jehovah(Yahweh)
JESUS didnt come for us to worship him,he told us to worship the LORD (Jehovah)
You do not see the FATHERS name in your bible because they people who gave us the EUROPEAN bibles are Antijewish

      MATHEW4:10
YAHSHUA SAID ,GET BEHIND ME SATAN it is written you SHALL worship the LORD(Yahweh) thy God .
If your BIBLE does not have Yahweh or Jehovag but rather the LORD then that is a blank check.
LORD is not a name ,its a Common english title meaning master
If king james and the bible society were not Antijewish or Antitruth they would not remove Yahweh and replace it with the LORD.
What I wrote may be hard for many to accept but I want you to do CRITICAL thinking?
      READ PROVERBS 30:4
      WHAT' IS GOD'S NAME?

WHO DOES JESUS TELL US TO WORSHIP?
WHO DOES THE BIBLE TELL US TO WORSHIP?
Who are the prophets and ISRAELITES named after?

      OBADYAH means servant of Yahweh
      NEHEMYAH means COMFORTED by Yahweh
ELIJAH means Yahweh is my God
Adonijah means Yahweh is my master
Abijah means yahweh is my father
      Yahshua means Yahweh is SALVATION

JUDAISM is written twice in the Book of ACTS;2:1-10 & 13:43
HALLELUYAH MEANS PRAISE YAHWEH NOT JESUS OR ALLAH OR THE LORD.

God the creator is outside of mans comprehension, IMO ... cannot be named. I think that is what he was saying. He was above being named. He IS. Jesus Christ is the anthropomorphic embodiment of God the Father who is spirit and cannot be seen or even fully comprehended.

      @xXJonnyJamboXx 2 года назад

@@DjMakinetor of course, because human name cannot compared or made similiar to god's name. -weh ending is not nonsense, it is a legit particle and makes grammatically sense. you should stop to believe Nehemia Gordon...his claim that all Jews secretly spelled Yehovah is a lie. Yehovah is a hibrid word like "HAns -RIegel aus BOnn" is for Haribo. it makes grammatically no sense ans has no meaning, but every hebrew name has a meaning. So Yihweh (hebrew) or Yeheweh (ancient aramaic) fits with the grammar ans has a meaning, both meaning are: he will be. Yehovah means: "he who was made to be" ...on this simple fact you can see that the name is impossible pronounced Yehovah

@@DjMakinetor where do i state that Yahweh is the correct pronounciation? you don't read, you just write without thinking. but that's typical for Nehemia Gordon Fans. and there was no samaritan god with name iabe, that's also one of the lies from Gordon. "Iabe" was only the phonetic sound from the 4 letters of tetragrammation "yud he wav he"which sounds indeed like iave when spelling the letters. but that's not the pronounciation, only the 4 phonetic repeating from the 4 letters.

I don’t speak Greek or Hebrew. I’m English speaking. So I say Jehovah. And Jehovah values anyone trying to say his name. Can you think of any of your close friends in your life that you don’t know their name? Use Jehovah in your prayers. What is the Lord’s Prayer? Our god in heaven, let your NAME be sanctified.

    • @kaalen24
      @kaalen24 2 года назад +1

The correct English translation of his name would be Yahweh, not Jehovah. Bible historians who spent their lives studying ancient Hebrew and Greek agree on this unanimously. Modern religions with members who didn’t have proper training or historians translating for their versions of the Bible are translating Jehovah from other incorrect translations, not the original manuscripts. You can “believe” it’s Jehovah. But you have to acknowledge that the original texts say Yahweh.

    • @kaalen24
      @kaalen24 2 года назад

I told someone the correct English translation of gods name is Yahweh and I showed them in an older translation that they actually owned. Think it was an older King James Version and they tore the page out of the book and said: “not in my bible”. So, you can believe whatever you like. It’s your life. But people wanting to actually learn the truth of a matter keep an open mind and follow the evidence not your emotions.

@@kaalen24 “Jehovah” is a loanword (adapted to the English language) from the Hebrew, as are basically all Bible names (including “Jesus”. Is it your contention that it is illegitimate to use a loanword? If so, you’d have to throw out basically every Bible name and tell Japanese people they can’t use the word “biru” which is a loanword from the English word referring to beer.

Is jehova the English way to say yehowa? I really don't know.
Something tells me that we're all going to know exactly how it's pronounced when Jesus Christ comes back to settle the matter with heaven and earth. This is what I believe will happen. Mankind was kicked out of the garden of eden, and we've been flopping around trying to figure it out. The Bible says that we will be speaking a new language given to us.
Another point of interest is when God confused all of the people who were building the tower of babel to escape from anymore floods to stop the building of this stoopid thing in opposition of God himself, and that's why they were going off with the folks they could understand.
    The word babel means confusion.

    The Father: AHAYAH (אהיה)
    Derived from:
    1. Hebrew root "Hayah" (היה), meaning "to be" or "exist"
Meaning: Ahayah = "I Am" or "Self-Existent One"
In Exodus 3:14-15, Ahayah reveals His name to Moses: "Ahayah Ashar Ahayah" (אהיה אשר אהיה) Translated as "I AM WHO I AM" or "I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE"
    The Son: YASHAYA (ישעיה)
    Derived from:
    1. Hebrew root "Yasha" (ישע), meaning "to save" or "deliver"
Meaning: Yashaya = "Ahayah's Salvation" or "Deliverance from Ahayah"
Both names are deeply rooted in Hebrew language and scripture:
    1. Paleo-Hebrew script
    2. Ancient Hebrew Vocabulary
The Father only has ONE name. Satan has MANY names. Remember, satan is the god of deception.
