- Sharing one of my favorite stress free ways to work in my art journal! Starting with what I call "fold over pages" and then using all that color, shapes and space for doodling.

That is just Amazing how you turn blobs of paint into beautiful pages! Thank you for sharing!
THIS IS AWESOME! I'm so happy I found this, I need to try this with SO MANY COLORS.
I do this with my left over paint but never thought of doodling over it! I must do this right away
Its like those Rorschach ink blot tests!! I totally saw some interesting pictures in there! Love it!!!
I can’t stop seeing people in these pages! Leaning towards each other. And one looks like a heart! I can see why this is therapeutic!
Soooo good - those colours really pop! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
It looks SO yummy, and I am happy that you painted over those orange blobs! They did not go with the rest of the page! 😄💕
Inspirational!!! Awesome!!! I can't find the right words to describe how this makes me feel. I'm going to try this tomorrow. It's time for me to open my art journal again!! Thank you so much for sharing.
Oh my gosh- you have given me back my art mojo and I cannot thank you enough! Although I have made art a priority for the last 13 years- for some reason the last few months I have completely lost my desire to create. Nothing traumatic has happened in my life- but I just wasn’t interested anymore. And then I saw this video - and a fire was lit in me again! I realized that I had gotten away from the art I love to do- kind of wonky and fun- to trying to create a more pristine, perfect look that really is not my style at all!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart- I sure hope you see this because I want you to know that your teaching and your videos have brought my creativity back!! Thank you.
Amazing inspiration! I can’t wait to give it a try!
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
This is a beautiful journal page. I did this too and connected with my inner child, loving smooshing the pages together and being surprised with the result ❤️ thank you Alisa, you are such an inspiration !
Amazing! Love your work and videos. Thank you😊
OMG this is amazing !
This is fabulous!❤
Absolutely amazing line work. Beautifully done. Inspiring!
Alisa, fascinating to watch and stunning results. I love how you varied the tools you were using. Who knew a notebook, some random paint and a bit of doodling could be the vehicle to deliver such a stunning piece of art?! So impressed!
Thanks❤
Love this! I've always called that paint technique smooshing. Thanks so much for the inspiration. ❤️
What fun, had to immediately fold over some pages
Very beautiful 😍 Corinne
So much fun to watch!
Alisa, this is gorgeous! You always fascinate me when I watch...you make it look effortless, magical and unique - like it comes alive....I am entranced when I watch.
Just fabulous! I’d love to see more of this!
SO cool!!
SPECTACULAR! Beautiful page filled with colors, patterns and glorious designs! WOW!
I really like this process! I can’t wait to give it a try!
I love this so much and can’t wait to try it! Thank u. Ur channel is amazing. Ur so generous.
Absolutely mind blowing! Stunning journal pages!
Beautiful and mesmerizing to watch! 🥰
Amazing!!
The little pink stain is screaming at me!! 😱🤣🤣🤣
I think that's the best part of this, you were able to leave it.
(Wereas I would go insane trying to fix it and ruining my flow. 😅)
Such a beautiful spread!
You make it look so easy.
Btw I love your music choice.. I very much enjoyed watching this. So much fun and relaxing. 🖤 Thank you.
Beautiful! Would you please list the supplies you used. Especially, the pens….the white worked beautifully!
This is glorious!
Interesting! 🖊🖌
Fabulous
Beautiful. And, just have to say, your videos are always so interesting, put together well - you rock 👍🌻😊🐈❤️
thank you!!
Amazing!
I love watching your process. Do you ever look back and add more doodles, or is finished, finished? As a writer, I am always looking back and noticing possible revisions.
❤
😍
Fantastic work. Thanks for enlightening our souls 💖💖. Only one question l have… what do you do with these beautiful journals?? You just keep it for going through or u sell them?
Great! But also your music in the background sonds so beatiful. May I ask whats that for music?
😊😊😊🥰 Mmmm! That was absolutely delicious! I love your work. Discovered you a few days ago and I've already learned so much! 😃🤩How long do these usually take you to do?
Wow,that is beautiful! Did it bleed through to the other side? I never knew you could use gel pens over acrylics. Does it mess them up?
I was wondering the same thing. My gel pens always seem to get clogged. Especially the white.
I really love your art and i tank you for sharing, it is inspirational to me… but i have to say i was bothered by the music (to me, stressful). Of course i silenced it at some point but i was not as enjoyable. Please welcome this message with love as it was written with kindness in mind and certainly not judgement ❤️
Do you seal your pages with mod podge or anything?
Off topic: at 02:00 I see two dogs. Their noses touch eachother :D
Anyway: again an inspirational video!
What brand of white pen do you use to doodle on the dark colors?
my favorite white pen that I have the most consistent luck with is the Uniball Signo white pen! Not perfect but works the best for me!
Beautiful but what do you do now on/with these papers?
I don't do anything with these pages, my art journal is simply a place to play and experiment. As working artist and art teacher it's really important for me to practice and pages like this are just about enjoying myself and messing around with ideas that eventually get turned into paintings or other creative surfaces.
@@alisakburke oooh, but I would definitely scan them and print for collage paper or masterboard for further projects or even new art journal pages!
@@GrumpetteJV Yes! Sometimes I do this too with my playful surfaces!
