I don’t have any super weird watches in my collection, but I would love to get a Xeric Invertor. The most obscure watch I have is a NakedWatch Maxwell, made in the early 2000’s. It has a skeleton movement with day, date and 24 hour indicators in chronograph style subdials. I often see the same movement used in more modern watches.
Very cool "weird" collection. I have one of the DNA Accutrons. Love the watch. Hate the sticky crappy rubber strap. But nobody makes other straps for it......not even Accutron.

Like the last watch. Best of both worlds. I always dream to have a analog display watch: bright, long lasting lume, easy to read hands on the hour/minute markers, automatic winding module but also can solar charge the watch battery, 100-200m water resistant and has quick button and tilt to light up the dial (Timex Indiglo). Of course comes with day-date complications with option to syn via GPS signal as not everyone is stay within the radius of radio signal. Hmm.. maybe add in alarm with options of sound and flashing light, also strong vibration alarm. My thought process: Why button to lit up the dial? Easy to read for normal eyesight folks as well as the aging eyes of those 40's and above, regardless in broad daylight or waking up in the middle of the night, or miners working inside the cave, SF in a night mission. 😅 Why solar + automatic winding (Seiko kinetic)? For those eldery or people with some movement restriction issues that cannot move the wrist a lot to wind it, yet wants to enjoy wearing a mechanical (partly) watch with easy to read analog hands. Why vibration alram? Think of in a noisy environment or need notification without alerting the rest (SF in operation, inside a meeting room, poor hearing). Too much, already such a watch in existence in the market? 😁

I have 1 android watch and a couple of aragons as well. I love the brand, but langs android versions had much more unique styles to me, and now i search for them now more thes days. My next watch is going to be that Metronome watch made by citizen I believe. Edit: made by seiko actually😂😂
I wrote to TGV about this too, What are your feelings on Citizen getting into bed with smart watches with models like the CZ Hybrid that they made in partnership with IBM Watson
Orient should bring that model back, and also its old Day Date homage. They did a lot of cool models back in the day and now they do boring oversized tool watches and Bambinos

I'm partial to the backward watches. You know how you look at your watch and then 10 seconds later someone says "What time is it?" and then you realize you have no idea and have to look at your wrist again? Not with the backward watch. The one-handers are cool too - it's odd that MeisterSinger dominates that segment when quartz is probably the more practical approach. There's a company that does "Decimal Time" watches (Used briefly after the French Revolution). It's kind of cheating though, since you just use a GMT hand and slap a different dial on it. Fun video Marc.
Sir as a really cool look and learn perhaps an equation determining noon based on the definition of the highest point in the sky taking in to account analemma and longitude. I am thinking of making my own local time, although my employer may not be too happy. Great watches btw

You pose a really interesting question for anybody trying to market anything. How to attract new users who are going to stay? Winemakers have it down, but they are lucky because human palates fall into categories that match up with age ranges. So I, as an almost 60-year-old, know not to buy wines with vampires on the label, because it will simply be too sweet and fruity for my old self. And kids are not buying wine with châteaux, or creaky old castle towers, on the label. But the kids love it because it has so much taste. However, another variable, and I don’t know whether this is true, or not, might be that Marc benefits from clicks from people who don’t stay and don’t subscribe. So in that case, he is counting on us to click through and ignore the thumbnail. But again, I have no idea how RUclips works, so I don’t know if that’s a valid theory.
