  • three main areas of support, both sides of the snout of course, and the top of the back of the spine. I'm going to try Gorilla Glue with this one of course you need to have a water additive. So this should be interesting.

Outstanding content, Mr. Nelson. I'm super jealous of that work shop and your flying area. Eventually, after the last kid departs the nest, I will convert that bedroom to the workshop of my dreams but until then..... it's the kitchen island and a whole lot of side eye from my much better half who also has infinite patience.... yes, she will probably see this.

I have a Carbon Cub S2 that I'm parting out if you are interested. I augured it into a rock. It's rebuildable but I do not have time in my schedule for this project. If you're interested let me know.

There is a definite problem the the wing. It caused me to crash tonight. I was flying a bit more aggressive tonight. Rolls and loops. But not a lot. Mostly just cruising. As I came out of a roll, the plane began to tip stall. I had it in intermediate mode. By the time I flipped it to safe, it was to late to recover. But it did save the plane from being a total loss as it was recovering out of the dive.
When I got to the plane, the first thing I noticed was that the wing strut was hung up in the servo! It is possible that it got jammed from the impact of the crash, but the way the plane behaved moments before the crash, I think it was tangled in flight.
Bottom line, this plane is not meant for loops and rolls. Better get a Timber or something more suited for more aggressive flying.

Love the fact that someone else has a two-car garage that doubles as their workshop. Can't wait to show my wife living proof that I'm not a psycho. Thanks for sharing.

My two car garage has doubled as my shop to complete my boat rebuild as well as my welding shop for side work. Haven't had a car in it for almost three years.

Every man needs a workstation in my opinion. My 2 car garage doubles as my rc hangar. LOL check out my carbon cub video with my wife's commentary.

The nose on this plane is as weak as water... Done the same on mine except I put 2.... 2mm rods on the bottom as well the belly is very weak where you have to 2 holes to let the air run through
    Good job

How are you running these rods into the foam and keeping them true and straight? You don't mention anything about how you're doing these upgrades.

in my old cub i put 2 carbon bars in the wing. 1 3/4 and one 1/2 inch bar. It is so strong you physically cannot brake it.

Nice work Timothy and a nice work shop. I'm going to do this also. Gorilla glue is excellent but is does expand so use it sparingly. Gorilla is excellent on foam but a bitch to trim off with an exacto knife. Between carbon arrow shafts and my shrink wrap laminating the structural integrity would be outstanding. I think I notice a re paint I think on the Carbon Cub. Where did you get your silver and yellow ? They look like an excellent color match. Thanks for the great videos

Not a repaint, but a standard stock fuselage, I bought several when they came back in stock, and always watch for a sale... Like the Air Tractor right now I can get (and did) a wing set and fuselage for the price of a fuselage... so there ya go! Keep'em flying buddy! My next project is an Air Boss Fire fighting plane. woohoo!

I saw that you put a new receiver in your Cub, I was wondering if you still have the, Flight mode indicator LED light That goes on top of the windshield of the airplane?
If you do I would like to buy it?
