Brilliant! Thank you for taking this old lady with arthritic knees along on your adventure. I loved the scenery and am very impressed that you never quit.
Having recently walked 106K around the Isle of Wight in a day, I know how hilly some of the area is. Well done for being persistent and finishing the coastal path. There has been significant erosion on the coast, and parts of the coastline are quite muddy, particularly this year. I am one of those old ladies ( in my 60's😂) but an ultra marathon individual. Age just being a number 😂

One of my favourite Marek videos! Due to my complete incompetence, I have spent the past half a year casually wondering where the Marek walking videos had gone ... then found your walking channel! Never done the whole route but covered a good 75% of it in smaller walks. Loved the way you slated Ryde to Cowes! Diced with death myself between Brighstone and Atherfield! It is mandatory for it to rain between Blackgang and Niton! Fisherman's Cottage is a great location for a jolly summer's evening! Top work and a hilarious watch!

Enjoyed watching this and so amusing. Well done! I recently started exploring the Isle of Wight, (lived in Portsmouth 20yrs but never really been over there properly before). Am working round it in sections and filming too. It was fun to see your stretch from Freshwater to Ventnor which we did a few weeks ago - lots of familiar sights - even the tame rabbit on the edge of Ventnor! I also stopped for dinner at the Mouse Inn. Great stuff 😀
Excellent. I have just subscribed. It looks as though the cliff has eroded much more than when I did it The dinosaur footprints are incredible aren't they. Stay cool. The packs looked heavy. Great videos. Look forward to watching more of them.

Wishing I could retire and just go walking all the time! Am subscribed - you're getting so much walking into your life, very cool 👍😎
Well done. You did a fantastic job. I can sympathise with you, as I celebrated my 40th birthday by walking 97 miles over 7 days, doing the full length of The Kennet and Avon Canal. I too, had blisters, hit that imaginary brick wall and at the end, except for sore feet and leg muscles, felt like I had not done the walk. I also did most of the walk on my own. I think you have given me my next hike, as I will now add IOW to my list to do next year. Regards Peggy 💜💜💜
There are still loads of these vids that I haven't got around to watching. So I've decided to start watching them from the beginning. Oh bloody hell, blisters are horrible so to plough through and do 70 miles was amazing! My chiropodist told me years ago to put surgical spirit on the parts of my feet where I'm prone to them before a long walk. It helps a bit. My son really wants to visit i.o.w because one of his fave youtubers did a vlog from there recently. I went once years ago to visit my mate who lives in Ryde but it was only a flying visit. We'll have to have a hol there at some point.🙂
Good luck with the South Downs Way, make sure you pack those trekking poles and always walk in the grass in the middle of the paths to save your feet. They are my top tips, but you probably know them, already. Good luck I hope you enjoy it.

Hi Marek, I'm really enjoying watching your video - you are just like my pals who are not happy unless they have a gripe! My ancient pals and I will be on a week-long walking holiday on the IoW in May 2020 to coincide with the last couple of days of the IoW Walking Festival. As we are all into our 70's can you give us an idea who to contact to be able to perhaps join in with some of the walks? The idea of the coastal path is interesting but some of our group couldn't manage much longer that 8 - 10 miles a day. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give. Regards The Glastonbury Ferryman. P.S. We've been doing these walks for 30+ years and (as a group) have never walked on the IoW! However, I bring my family there when ever I can afford it - usually every other year.
Hello there. Glad you liked the video. You have picked an excellent location for your walking holiday. I don't have any contacts I am afraid. I used a GPS map and planned out the distances. This is a good website: www.ldwa.org.uk/ldp/members/show_path.php?path_name=Isle+of+Wight+Coast+Path. My advice would be to skip the Ryde to Cowes part as it is just road walking. You could even start at Yarmouth as the south part of the Island is much nicer. So you could stay in Yarmouth the first night then walk to the Needles. There are some great places to stay. One B&B I stayed at in Brighstone has loads of rooms and they even pick you up from the coastal path: westcourt-farm.co.uk/ . The B&B I stayed at in Yarmouth was also excellent: www.medlars-bnb.com/. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.
What is the IOW residents' slang for tourist? I am familiar with grockles or grockels, grocks for short, in the West Country. I recently learned of the IOW term North Island for the rest of the UK mainland.
Thank you for a lovely and entertaining video. I enjoyed it and I had some good laughs too :-) I have walked some of these beautiful stretches, and some day I will probably walk the whole path. My current aim is to walk the whole South West Coast Path. As I am living in Norway I have to do it during summer vacations so it will take a few more years. Subscribed :) Happy walking!
Thanks Torunn. So glad you enjoyed it. The South West Coastal Path is a biiiiiiggggg one. Good luck with it. You must have read 'The Salt Path' all about it. Take care and happy walking!
@@cdwc Sure, I read the Salt Path last year after finishing my 3rd section of the Cornwall part last year. Have also read "The 500 miles walkies" and others. And I am sponsor of the South West Coast Path Association. We have so far done the path from Westward Ho! to Penzance. First aim is to cover the Cornwall coastline. But we have in mind to do it all :) It is pretty stunning! You should give it a go! :-) This year's Covid-19 forced me and my friend to postpone the planned Lizard stretch this year to 2021. We are both Norwegians and living in Norway, so we had to stay home. Hoping it will be possible by 2021.
Thanks Cool dude for the walk. My feet hurt just watching you. IoW looks lovely and hope to come and visit one day soon. Will you be doing the walk anti-clockwise this year? xxx
I used to know this guy in the IOW Ramblers called Harry Peel, who would walk the same number of miles as his age each birthday along the coastal path until he was over 80. He was an e- Durham miner & when we organized rambles, he used to leave old folks (often younger than him) behind if they could not keep up, on account of them being "Tories".
You should be OK if you stock up, the South West bit is the longest without shops. Best to do it in the summer otherwise most of the tourist shops will be closed. Good luck dude.

As we are all into our 70's can you give us an idea who to contact to be able to perhaps join in with some of the walks?
The idea of the coastal path is interesting but some of our group couldn't manage much longer that 8 - 10 miles a day.
I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give.
Regards
The Glastonbury Ferryman.
Yes it is pretty much the same here, tourists are grockles (I don't know the correct spelling).
Super vid buddy.... chuckled all along... really enjoyed it. 🙂👍
Better start planning next years birthday walk,, how about around Stonehenge.
Thanks Cool dude for the walk. My feet hurt just watching you. IoW looks lovely and hope to come and visit one day soon. Will you be doing the walk anti-clockwise this year? xxx
No I did the South Downs Way. Videos coming soon.
If you want to spend the most possible money to travel quite short distances the Isle of Wight is the place Marek.
2:06 - Are the hovercraft still working? I used to enjoy watching those come into shore when I was a kid.
Yes. Probably still the same ones.
Great effort Marek
Thanks dude.
Well done
Amazing
Nice of the Red Arrows to celebrate Cool Dudes walking.
To be honest I was a bit underwhelmed.
They could of least put on the coloured smoke. White smoke was a slap in the face tbh.
PS you’ve inspired me to do the same 👍👍👍. What walking app do you use please?
Go for it. I use Viewranger and downloaded the GPX files.
Ha, ha. An excellent story cool dude.
that was enjoyable, would there be enough shops on the way for someone wild camping, particularly thinking about water?
You should be OK if you stock up, the South West bit is the longest without shops. Best to do it in the summer otherwise most of the tourist shops will be closed. Good luck dude.
@@cdwc ok thank you!
:D :D :D hilarious!!! make more!
Thanks dude. There are loads of walks on here. Stay cool.
Oh, well done, mate. xx
You have to subscribe to all my channels now you have an account dude.
Is a pity you could not get from Fisbourne and follow the cost past Barton, Osborne, Norris and along East Cowes sea front
