Wharram Hui Cornwall 2017

Micro Adventure Sailing Hui in the Fal Estuary on 4-6th August 2017. Eleven Wharram catamarans gathered in Devoran and sailed on a short Adventure in Carrick Roads, spending the night at Roundwood Quay. Smallest catamaran round-the-world Tiki 21 'Cooking Fat', sailed by Rory McDougall, was part of the fleet.
Wharram boats featured: Mana 24, Amatasi, Tahiti Wayfarer, Melanesia, Hitia 14 and 17, Tiki 21, Tiki 26, Tiki 30, Tiki 31

Eleven Wharram cats at one time together - I love it. And guess what my special moment in the video is? 10.4 knots on the Mana in modest winds - YES!

Add a gin pole under the deck. pull from the top of that when the boat is capsized. Pole is pivoted under the deck from the main beam and secured fore and aft. port and starboard with pre attached lines that are tied off so that the pole is vertical when the boat is pitch poled like this one. Then the gin pole is vertical and you can get leverage off of the line attached to the top of it.
