    Hey Everybody! In this video I am showing you step by step breaking down how to make a break in Reason 12. In this video we use Reason 12 to make a beat. We utilize the redrum sequencer, piano roll, and on screen keyboard.
    We do not use a midi keyboard to make this beat, which was a real challenge for me!!
    Really hope you enjoy the video and that you get some good instruction from it. I give a bunch of Reason keyboard shortcuts and workflow improvements.
    This video is created with beginners in mind. The advance Reason User who have been making beats with Reason for some time may not get much out of this video. However, if you are new to beat making or want to get some pointers on how to make your first beat, or how to make beats in Reason 12 then this video will be a great one for you!

      I made my first crappy beat using this tutorial, I need to obviously keep practicing and watching tutorials. But I wonder would taking a few keyboard lessons hurt, even though everybody who uses Reason says I don't need too.

    Man I've owned REASON 12 for over 2 years and thi sis the first tutorial I've found that explains it and make sit so much easier! I couldn't get a down so I've been using REASON RACK in FL Studio, which is also a powerful way to use it in and of itself. Thanks so much,

    hey Chris, thanks for this ! after buying quite a few DAWS I've decided that reason 12 is the one for me to start learning the music arts but I made the huge mistake of buying cubase 12 pro and now get so frustrated with it, especially setting up audio of all things, so will that DAW come in handy for reason 12 or could I sell Cubase 12 Pro and not miss any features that could be used in conjunction with reason ? I understand that's a personal thing but it was quite expensive and a major faux pas by me. Also I had reason plus for 2 months which has now lapsed and I purchased a reason 12 full perpetual license but there are reason rack extensions I want that were included in the plus version like friktion and complex 1 and I already bought the layers bundle. I'm going to follow your tutorials but I want to create some sort of orchestral rock with a touch of ambience genre of which probably doesn't exist atm haha. :)

    • @Chrisreedbeats
      @Chrisreedbeats  Год назад +2

      Reason Rack in Cubase would be a good thing to try out! I can't say I have heard of that genre but I'd be willing to do some more videos on Complex and Friktion!
