No better sound than that of a well tuned V-8 engine. I've always said the 289 was one of the best engines built by anyone ! The 327 was another one also.
I had a 1967 Mustang Coupe with a 289 Hi Po and a B+M Auto racing tranny that had the record for its class at the Tri- City Dragway in mid-Michigan until the airport re-took the property. It ran low 11’s.
Ignore the guy licking it's tires. It's just me admiring the car. My brother had a 63 but it didn't sound anything like yours. I want that engine as a ringtone.
Yup it's Bad Ass! Nice build bud. That little 289 sounds awesome. Bought a 62 - 4 door for 50 bucks from a co-worker. Drove it everywhere, even through the woods. Sold it a year later to a hitch hiker I picked up on my way to work for 50 bucks. Still had the same plates on it from the 1st guy. Off he went and later that night I didn't have a ride home.
A friend had a '62 Falcon 2 door gasser, with a 300ci six, 4speed, triple carbs, ran 12s, Yellow, and said Tweedy on the side, with a Tweedy Bird graphic. I always liked the '62 grille best, on the 1st gen. Like the job you did on that one, sounds great. 😁0👍
Yes, the 289 came out mid '64, but the first '64 1/2 Mustang in my town, had the 260 4 speed, not enough 289s at first for the demand, I believe the same problem affected the Fairlane, and Falcon availability.
My Brother had a 62 Ford Falcon , got my driver license with it !! Lots of memories. Would love to have a 65 Falcon .
A friend had a '63 falcon with a 260 v8 and four speed. It was a sleeper.

It sounds like a symphonic freight train.........music to my ears.
I’ve got a 62 Falcon in ermine white. Currently upgrading the 302 in it to a 347 stroker. Yours sounds great.
You're a wild man. Props!

Is it a SPRINT? It is now!!😂
Nice car. Everyone has a Camaro or mustang and that’s another reason I want a pro street falcon
SWEET!!! My buddy had a Ford Falcon back in the day. 👍💯😎
I had a 62 Falcon convertible- light blue.

Love the Falcon. Had a 64 Sprint rag top 260 four speed that I wish I still had.

Nice driveway
NICE!
My first car was a 60 Falcon, and I loved that car. I wish I had it now!
Angry sounding bird. Oh… that’s right, Falcons are predatory.
I had a ‘62 Ranchero 289/C4 dragcar that ran 11’s in 1982 when I was in high school.... miss those days... Nice 2-door !
Wasn’t the 289 in mustangs too? Could have sworn a friend had one in his when I was in high school.

My grandma had one but it didn't sound like that
Where’s the car???
How about finding somebody that knows how to use a camera
I owned back in 1976 a 63 falcon. 289 low gears great car!!
Fix the idle!
Lose those funky side exhausts and that car would be killer.
JEALOUS 😂😂😂
Wow that's a machine
Nice
I got a 61
