Our pilot flies on the right side as well. The same side as where the loaders hook up. Unbelievable how awesome this work is even as a loader. Love it!
Depends on the work. But corn run you could make $60 to $80k in a month or two. You have to work the ground for a few years first though. I worked the ground for 4 1/2 years before I got to fly.

@@tylerw1418 I know that was sarcasm but either way I’ve been a managing a company with 7 helis for a few years now and getting our 8th this year. Need more GC if your interested.
@@jamesswartz23 awesome! What kind of birds do you run? I did 5 years on the ground and have been flying for about the same now. New rule for loaders might becoming out that would make finding drivers easier.
@@tylerw1418 all R44s right now. Considering the new one being a 66 but not sure we want to have to worry about two different types of fuel. What rule you referring to? We don’t usually have any trouble finding ground guys but we have been growing pretty fast the last few years and are picky about who we hire. What state are you based in?
Loads of benefits over an airplane… slower application speeds (60-80kts vs 120-150kts) means more accurate application, especially with ultra fine droplet sizes on 2-3gpa work. Ability to safely get closer to the ground and obstacles means more accurate application also. Being able to fuel/load from a truck on site as opposed to an airfield means less ferry time and don’t have to worry about other traffic using a runway. Some corn/soybean fields are in odd shapes with sensitive areas around that aren’t suitable for an airplane. Both types of machines have their benefits and draw backs

Shoot for "paid by acre" rather than "paid by hour"
@@bestmandodad3850 ya I’ve never heard of hourly ag pay. Just percentage or set dollar amount per acre.
@@tylerw1418 Did you have your Commercial ticket when the whole time you had to work the ground??
I gotta get one of these for the farm

No Benefit over a airplane at all!!
Some Aircraft could operate cheaper, depending on loads, distances, and clearances
