The fact that mods like this have console versions is insane. still not pc level, but never thought console skyrim would even get close to what we have

gdbs impossible animations bundles have things like DAR, smoothe idles, conditional dodging, all that stuff
@@carsonkouts No dude they don't. The video listed Vortex, Valhalla, Precision, and the mage armor which Xbox has none of. I'm literally right here trying to do that. I honestly just wanted lock on but Xbox does not have it yet. I'm running GDB but the one handed sword and mace moveset are really clunky.
@isaac marcucci xbox has precision built into several animation mods. we even have sekiro combat now. go look at what's included in the new gdb the revenge

Pretty accurate but one caveat: Vahalla doesn't like SSE or Vortex much so if you do it maybe try a better mod loader.
What's the problem I've been using them both and haven't found any problem
That’s pretty much false information Valhalla has no issue on sse and don’t use vortex use mo2 way better than vortex

And every one of these mods requires 10 mods each
why not go play dark souls instead? Skyrim is too janky and clunky to try be a third person Elden Ring/dark souls like game

Because it's wonky with AE....mod author says so himself 🤷♂️
I’m not saying MCO is bad but I can completely understand why someone wouldn’t use it (as a former user.)
Firstly most animations, both default and custom look like they were just ripped from either Dark Souls or Devil May Cry. It is immersion breaking in some ways.
Second it destroys gameplay balance. The windups are fast but still have long recovery. This means unreactable attacks from NPCs and too much commitment from the player, which makes fighting multiple enemies more difficult than vanilla.
And lastly there’s no input queue so combos can feel very janky
Lots of these are improved with even more mods, but at a certain point it starts feeling like a cheap ripoff of another, better hack and slash game (totally cool if you have high jank tolerance)
Personally I’ve moved on from Souls/trying to make my game like Dragon’s Dogma and more of a more refined vanilla experience.

@@amperly Sorry my SSD from then died so I dont have the exact modlist.
It was an older modlist and not exactly a Dragon's Dogma ripoff but attempts to carry the same spirit (party-based action RPG type of stuff).
-Nether's Follower Framework (for party roles such as sorcerer, healer, tank etc. You can also tell followers to collect items like pawns do)
-Party of Four - Harder Bosses
OR ultimate combat/dragons and jack up enemy HP
-Special Edition Followers (followers have special abilities now)
-Increased Enemy Spawns
-Followers can Craft (for LE but I ported to SSE)
-Experience
-Classic Classes and Birthsigns (so player has to specialize in a party role)
-Ordinator (perks = dogma skills)
-Ordinator Patch for Skysa - MCO - Combo Perks
-Different casting time (longer casting time at lower levels)
-Precision (self explanatory)
-Skytweak (I used this to modify stamina and health regen rates and other tweaks)
-Shield Of Stamina - Blocking Redux (dogma-like blocking)
-Wider Block Angle
-Shield protect from magic SSE Port
-Paulicus Poison Block (PPB) Updated
-Death Souls (dragon souls turn into wakestones)
-Enemy Magelock - NPC Magic Casting Commitment (i dont use this anymore because followers will get stuck in hallways)
experiment with third person hack and slash type mods like MCO, TUDM, Poise, Precision etc. your choice

I use a pretty similar setup but I have TUDM instead of TK Dodge. But the biggest difference is ADXP | MCO. The combat with the MCO animations is super satisfying and makes it look a lot like Elden Ring and Dark Souls and despite how that may sound, it is very smooth, bug free and not clunky at all. I personally use Elden Rim for my animations
I'm interested in this but I'm new. What do those acronyms mean? I'd like to look them up
If you haven't found out already, ADXP | MCO are the same mod. It stands for Modern Combat Overhaul. I really recommend it but I like to change some of the animations from Elden Rim and overwrite others.@@captainfach

I'd reccomend hellblade blocking when you use valhalla combat, it hads a really sick effect when you block (slo mo when you get a perfect block)
Koubitz, you need to try MCO/ADXP with some new animations ported from games with better combat. If you want something more in line with Vanilla Skyrim, Assassin's Creed Valhalla animations are a good choice. Now, if you are willing to go hardcore, try some Japanese Hack & Slash animations like the ones from Nier Replicant and Automata, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, etc.
I for example use Nier Replicant animation on 1HD swords, (converted from SkySA to MCO, it's easy, on MCO's page there is a tutorial and tools to do that), Dante's moveset from Devil May Cry on 2HD swords and Ryu's Hayabusa Scythes animation on 2HD Axes. But be prepared, these animations alone make you overpowered. They are this good.
How the heck do I get MCO to work with Vortex? There’s like fifty files in the newest file on their “guild” website.
Not for ps5 I presume since I’m not finding any of these…

God the love-hate of Skyrim. How do we all cherish a game to the degree we've made it the most modded of current history, and yet we can unironically say things like "What if Skyrim's combat were GOOD?", let alone said in the tone of a distant and wistful dream.

I really like the effects your game has when you use a sword for example, "sparkles" come out it as if the metal is clashing against something. Also sometimes in your game characters seem to be in a slow-mo for a brief moment when performing a stronger attack. Are those animations? What mods are you using to achieve this?

They’re called sparks, not “sparkles”, you’d seem them in real life if you were to sharpen a blade with a grindstone.

Hey koubitz i knew about some of these mods and thanks for that. But as I've also experienced this myself i understand that once you put all these together, then experience delving into a mage hideout mages will just use "insertelement"-thrower stream spells early game and get wrecked because the mods still would consider the damage being dealt in their edited tools and you can't really block any of it. Unplayable really unless im missing something cause i never tried using wards.
I was wracking my head around it looking for mods that removed these spells from enemy ai but no dice. If youve somehow figured out a mod that edited these out all these spells out would instantly be the only way to play skyrim for real lol.
There's a mod, I forget the name, that alters the rate at which concentration spells fire. Essentially it turns the streams into repeated bolts which move at differents speeds depending on the element.

(The series of letters could be incorrect but it'll be close enough if you type it into your search engine)

valhalla combat is seriously the best skyrim mod of all time hands down
Unfortunately, Valhalla Combat uses a mod called TrueHUD and because of Skyrim patches, TrueHUD needs to be updated or else the game crashes on start up. It will need to be disabled if you have it in your mod load order so is there any other mod that can replace it, at least for now, until it gets an update? Under Valhalla Combat it says TrueHUD is a "Hard requirement". What can I do about this?

You have not updated tdm in while it seems the floating health bars have been fully removed since they where moved to true hud in its stead leaning and headtracking have been added and improved
