I really love the way Dr. Angeles speaks. She makes you really understand and be engaged with the topic. Ethics is character, I like this. Thank you for this video!
Edifying and insightful! Thank you for this wonderful video, doc. Sana may ganitong lecture videos na nuong 1998... I hope the Ateneo (Arete) community would create more learning packets in the future especially in philosophy.
I really learned a lot about the lecture and twas a pleasure listening to. I am aware of the danger of having the teachers give a direct decision or answer regarding moral dilemmas and is best to leave the choice to the students with the lessons that they have learned. However, I really want to know, after doing the steps presented, the answer of the professor to the question: "what should I do?" What can the professor, or others, advise to students as the best course of action regarding the dilemma?
Love, love, love it!!! Its always good to be reminded of htis process..it was one of my best classes in grad school! Thanks again Maam! Take care! Keep shinning!
Sometimes the age, level of maturity and exposure to matters of moral questions contribute much on how a person reacts to certain issues. If for example, if i am the one who witnessed that seeming infidelity of my father, I will not make a scene in that place. I will talk to my father as adults, and I will try gather facts and issues that may caused my father to get into that relationship. If we can fix the problem without having to tell mother, that would be ideal.
This session is very important these days wherein divorce is a very hot issue. Some people are quick in expressjng their support for divorce without considering other important elements as presented in the matrix.
Thank you so much for this video. It's very comprehensive but easy to understand. I hope I can reach Dr. Angeles to have a copy of her presentation. Through her permission I will use her framework of ethical decision process in my dissertation proposal. Anybody who could help me how to reach her? Thank you.
