the '23 cb650r is my first bike I bought last month. The bike is a blast and I've not noticed any issues riding in traffic with it. Then again, it's my first bike so nothing to compare it to. Has plenty pick up and go too from a stop. My only complaint really is the stock seat. It gets uncomfortable if riding for more than an hour about.
Heey, exactly the same case here. My first ever bike 2023 gunpoweder black edition. Excelent bike. Only minus is the seat to be honest. Super cool bike. In comparison to the Z650 it's sooooo much better! I rode the Z650 for 2 months. Really I don't find it easier to pass traffic on z650. The Honda is the superior one, no doubt about it here! Congrats on yours! Drive safely! :)
from an indian standpoint and from an every single day commuters view, Z650 is going to be the best bet, because of its low end torque at an earlier rpm, since for CB650r based on the specs alone we can see that more force is required to give good overtakes especially from stand stills or slow speed overtakes , but thats the only advantage about it , otherwise cb650r is going to be superior in everyway possible, especially more top end, more refinement , in india honda parts are way cheaper when you compare it with a kawasaki, infact honda's has less maintenance cost all way around, better brakes and suspension.
