Was thinking the same... Especially as someone from eastern europe, prices are roughly the same as in UK. Just checked prices in Slovakia and KTM 790 Duke goes for 9 400 euros which is 7 900 pounds so the same price essentially. It wouldnt be problem if in Slovakia we hadnt average monthly wage of 1 500 euros... In UK it should go around 2 800 euro (take it with grain of salt of course as it is government statistics and i do believe they are inflated). So yeah... For me, deff not an "affordable". Also driving licesnes went like 5x up... I did mine in like 2016 for 350 euro for a car, now its 1 200+. License on a bike is 650+. So, license + bike + gear as I dont want to die to a fly crashing to me on a highway... Crazy word we live in...
I bought the Triumph Trident after watching your videos and I LOVE IT!!! Incredible bike. Really playful and fun and more than enough power for what you need on UK roads. costs around £18 to fill up the tank which is good for 160 - 180 miles. Best purchase I've ever made
I got a 2023 z650 exactly as pictured in the video. I did the tail delete as well as removing the passenger pad and pegs and replacing it with the stinger tail in metallic black. I’m a young rider, got my licence in august and bought my bike in September, I chose the trident 660. After doing my lessons on the CB 650, trying the mt 07 and the hornet 750 I decided to try the trident because I loved the looks so much and I was amazed. It was way above my expectations, a retro / modern looking bike which is playful and fast. You can do everything on this bike, go fast, « chill », long rides (it’s confortable, even for someone on the back), wheelings etc. Plus, you’ll be looked on the street because it is not a common bike AND it’s beautiful 😉 To everyone looking for a first (or not) bike, I strongly recommend the trident 🔱
I bought the Triumph Trident 660 back in October. The other bike I was considering was the Yamaha MT-07, but the Yamaha’s suspension is junk. My local Triumph dealer gave me a good deal, so it was a no-brainer. I’m very happy with the Triumph.
Ended up buying the Hornet 750 last year, after considering the CB650R and the Tuono. I went through 3 bikes last year. Started out with the CB1000R (2019), then to a 900 Hornet (2002) and then onto the Hornet 750. The CB650R is a great bike, but just a smaller version of the 1000r. I test rode the Tuono factory, which i enjoyed, but was put off by the reliability issues of the engine. So decided on the Hornet 750. I took it out for a test ride twice. Once when it first came out, and just before buying one. It is so light, fun and flickable, probably because it has a narrow back tyre. I did feel it was a bit flighty at higher speeds, on the test ride. Not found that to be the case on my bike. Maybe the tyre pressures weren't bang on, when I rode the demo. Who knows? I would highly recommend riding as many bikes as you can, as its all very much down to your own perceptions. I've ridden sports bikes, tourers and super nakeds like the Tuono 1100 factory ( my Mate's). I am happy with my choice, as I can enjoy more of the bikes potential power, on the road. Plus for the price I paid, the bike has a lot going for it. I had the Quickshifter added, which is ok going up. Not so good coming down, imoa. The dash is great, and it comes with Bluetooth connectivity, as standard. You get turn by turn prompts on the screen, when you enable the Honda Roadsync app(which uses the maps on phone) Anyway, go ride them all, and decide for yourselves. Ride safe Peeps 🙏
Im currently in the market for a bike and the SV650 is the one I've been looking at the most, its different enough because of the V-Twin engine, your comment is pretty much the same thing I've read from almost all comments about the bike. The other thing people mention is how "old" the bike is, but I feel that they're almost picking at things to fuss about (this is coming from someone whos never ridden or owned one of them)
I was looking at all these bikes (GSX-8S wasn’t yet out) this summer and I ended up buying a new 2022 Tuono 660 Factory for £8699. I was tempted by the Hornet which was £6999 at the time but I didn’t want to await delivery and the Aprilia is just so much more bike for not too much more money. 2000 miles later, I have no regrets. Plan to put as many thousand miles on as I can manage in 2024.
I just purchased a tiger sport 660. It felt a bit more punchy than the trident inspite of them having the same engine. There is a good price difference between the 2 though. But my need for a comfortable pillion seat was mandatory.
It came down to those two for me two years ago. Ended up with the CB basically due to availability. I wouldn't trade it for the Trident now if offered. And I'm pretty sure I'd feel the same about the Trident had I purchased it. Trident is slightly more compact than the CB - so if you're a bigger guy that might be a factor.
@@shawnolson4522 If it is still possible, give it a Boosterplug. I did that on my -19 model and that made a big difference in the lower rpm's and midrange. Much stronger.
@@-Eternal-Damnation- It is a really good bike, and can do "distance" Touring work as well as fun in the twisties. I fitted a rack and Screen and it works lovely I have seen a few second hand ones for as little as 5.5k,
Great run down of the range! I bought the GSX 8S which where i live is the same price as the Hornet without a quick shifter. Also better mid range grunt, room and cornering. The Aprilia is 30% more expensive at standard and 19% more on special. Same price as a Street Triple R on special.
Really good video, even tho there are so many good bikes in that class and the Hornet 750 being a better value for money, I couldn't help myself but ordering a 2024 CB 650 R this week. The coffee racer design and inline 4 just did it for me. Is it the best value? I don't think so, but it's the one my heart desires and in the end that's all that matters.
Last year there were two bikes on my list after a longer period of survey among possible A2 bikes. Honda CB650R and Triumph Trident 660. My choice was Trident in the end because of better design. Honda is amazing, but Triumph is a more suitable to me. I love this bike and every moment on the seat, so I am looking forward to go for a ride again as soon as Spring comes.
I've ridden for 53 yrs. I presently have a '19 Speed Triple S & I can say that my Triumph has been the best quality bike I have owned to date (26k miles so far). I would look long & hard at the Triumph 660 as I like its looks as well. My wife presently rides a '19 Ninja 400. I think the Triumph 660 will be her next bike. I have owned 2 SV650's ('00 & '02 - both carburated, 1st gen models w/aluminum welded frames) & they were great. I've lost count of the Japanese bikes I've owned, street & dirt. All were good for their time. My 2nd best bike (maybe tied for 1st) was an '05 Kawi ZX10. No electronic bs besides the fuel injection/ignition, hella quick & bulletproof! Triumph beats it barely on finish & comfort, but the Sp3 is a bit heavier. Ride safe, y'all!!
The Tuono tops the list for me (price aside). I have a lot of admiration for the SV ... It's a great bike, and looks very fine in its latest iteration. I really appreciate that Suzuki has stuck with it - it's tempting. The Honda CB650R ... the only I-4, sadly. It's a fine looking bike.
I have been a hug fan of the Hond CB650R those pipes and overall styling simply shine when compared to most of it competition abd being its the onlyinline4 makes it really stand out. I reallly want it but you cant have them all. I currently have a 2014 tiger 800xc
I'd go for the Trident, I think. One that never seems to get considered for these lists is the Benelli 752s. It's a decently priced, decently performing bike.
Rookie here; i jumped on pretty much all of those bikes the other day at an expo. Trained on z650. The MT07 and the Hornet felt like they were sculpted for me. Never felt more comfy on a bike. Yamaha really knows how to tune the sound of a bike but that Hornet...ugh, which one to buy? What a nice dilemma to have!
I've owned or tried the bunch and now there's a 790 Duke in my garage. A 2020 model, bought brand new with a niceprice tag on. All the bells and whistles activated. It doesn't get much better. First thing was to change the tyres. Those Maxxis are rubbish in the wet and colder weather. Thank you mr Bob!
Trident and CB650R would be my top choices. Both excellent offerings with unique character due to their not-another-bloody-parallel-twin engines. The Tuono isn't a naked bike any more than a Honda CBR650R is a naked bike.
Yes, the Tuono is faired to a degree, but the wide flat bars makes it feel like a naked bike. Best of both worlds in my view. I liked the Trident when I rode one but it’s too small, has some extremely cheap components on it, and that awful swing arm attached license plate holder.
@claesnorell8702 the merits of the Tuono are not in question. But given that a naked bike is defined by the stripping away of fairing and wind screen, and the Tuono has both, it is clearly not a naked bike. Add flat bars to a Fireblade and you don't have a naked bike.
Why do you care about labels? It's the swappable bars & seating position that make the Tuono a naked bike. The fact that the Tuono is the best looking of these choices would be another draw for me. Each to his own! 👍 @rogerp4612
If you’re talking budget naked bikes you should really include cfmoto in the discussion. They have some really good offerings that are an amazing value for the price. The clx 700 heritage/sport is quite the offering along with the 800nk. I own the clx700 sport and it is a ton of fun!
I'd go with the hondas. Hornet 750 because of its bland looks(hence can be considered as a sleeper bike in the category) and the cb650 is the best looking of the bunch coupled with its revvy nature!
No CFMoto? I have a 700CL-X, it's the same frame and mostly same engine as the Z650 but capacity upped to 700cc, better suspension, and it looks better too. Their EU site has the MSRP at 5999 Euro. Their new 800NK is using an LC8 engine from the KTM 790 and is coming in at 6999 Euro... Damn affordable for some sweet bikes
I tend to agree. I wish it did have a similar top end to some of its competitors. But.. you know its going to be a bullet proof engine and the bike as a whole will just be sorted. The handling on good to average roads and the feel will be excellent.
@@frankensteinsgarage9632 Agreed. Some more top end would be nice but in reality most people don't use it much anyway on the road, if you want to keep your license that is. Got my eye on the GSX8R & Daytona 660 when they come out later this year. The Triumph's triple might be the best of both worlds with decent low to mid grunt & top end too.
@@frankensteinsgarage9632 i consider buying one. If you put on an aftermarket exhaust, air filter and flash the ECU you can gain as much as 12 horsepower peak, and even more through the midrange. It will make it more expensive but I bet it would transform it.
@ragerider6283 yeah that's true about the top end. It's nice to have but in this day where speed cameras are so prevalent. I don't want to loose my license. And bottom end grunt is great for street riding. I'm keen to have a ride of both of those bikes 660 and the 8R. Should make for some fun bikes even the odd track day
@@frankensteinsgarage9632 Yep exactly my thoughts. Will check them both out & see which appeals to me most. If I get one I will no doubt think I should have bought the other lol.
This list shows me two things: 1. We are so lucky with having so many high quality bikes to choose from. 2. Bike in the UK are very cheap! Man I love the Trident, if it wasn't for its Windows 95 throttle response. And what on earth was Suzuki thinking with its rear light styling?!
Got a Z650 2023 as first bike. 68hp are more than enough for me. I've put an exhaust and ecu tune on it and I can't ask more than this from my experience. The only bikes I might consider are the Tuono 660, GSX8S and the CB650R because they have bright color schemes and an exhaust that stays under the engine. I also like the 790/890 because of the exhaust clearing the view of the rear wheel. Too bad for the Trident 660 which was the bike I was going to buy the same exact day I took the Z. The Trident seat felt like a condom and in real life wasn't good looking as in pictures and video. Also black bikes aren't my taste, so I was looking for the white/red one. And it also feels heavy a lot more than the spec sheet says (which is wrong too). The Z felt right, the bar and the footpegs were strange at first because I trained on a Gladius 650 with the SV650 engine. But the lightness... It felt like a bicycle between the legs. The purpose of this bike was to commute. Yes the ecu remap will hinder the fuel consumption but since I will do ecu remapping... About the engine note of a 180 crank parallel twin: I don't dislike it. I actually like it when it's increasing or decreasing rpms, pops and bangs a lot. The original exhaust looks way better than 99% of the after market ones except for the LeoVince Underbody which isn't road legal nor available for euro 5 bikes. It's meh only when you cruise along at the same speed, but an aftermarket exhaust helps a bit on that side. The original exhaust started ringing when pushed hard, it wasn't too silent but missed on the lower frequencies making the sound so unpleasant that you felt like you were mistreating the engine when passing 6K rpm. Now with the ecu remap and full roadsitalia exhaust you really don't want to go below 6K rpm. Anyway I've rode it for just 2700km. I'm definitely a noob yet.
Great summary! IMO you can't go wrong with any of these bikes, well maybe the Z650 but the rest are all great bikes, I love the KTM790s performance but the looks are a major downer for me, I still think as a do it all middleweight the Trident would be my choice.
The KTM 790 and 890 Dukes just look and feel cheap to me. Performance chops they definitely have, but I need to love the look of my bike. And reliability is nice to have as well.
@@rogerp4612 I couldn't agree more, I rode the 890R in March and loved it but ended up buying the new Street Triple RS coz I love the look of it. (plus it's a great bike).
I was about to get the Tuono Factory 660 - but then found insurance to be nearly £3000, compared to £450 for the Triumph Trident! Insurance prices are an important factor when considering affordability.
Agree on the pricing strategy i just don’t think the Tuono is in many peoples considerations because of it but I picked up a brand new MY 23 Tuono 660 factory model for £7950 on the road towards the end of October last year after some back & forth 😉 I test rode the hornet, mt, trident & lastly the Tuono, it’s way ahead of those other bikes in all areas imo & it definitely sits in a higher bracket. 100bhp, QS, rider modes, traction, cruise, good brakes/suspension & handling, great to look at & If it stays reliable 🤞🏻 I’ll be very happy i picked one up instead of the other contenders.
After over 20 years of riding (also still keeping a bike just for track days), I'm just waiting on the Trident in the color I want to arrive at my local dealership.
Greetings from Tennessee, USA ...great video! as usual ...Thank you! Question: I'm 5,7 toll, weight 190+ and 58years old (with the heart of a 40 ;) ....why did you got rid of your Triden if it you thought it was so good? What should I consider before committing to get one?
As a beginner i went for the vitpilen 401. Just because of the looks, it a very good motorcycle i highly recommend it. It looks way better than a ducati monster and costs more than half. Many people stop me because of the futuristic style. I live in nyc and have not seen that bike on the street thats how unique it is. The vitpilen 401 is not on this list.
My choice is the upcoming, we hope, Honda Hawk 750, a retro-themed version of the Hornet. Since the Hawk isn't out yet, it's between the Hornet and the KTM, with the KTM's looks tipping the balance to the Honda. And the Honda doesn't even look that good!
We are up to the point where "phone connectivity" is a motorcycle characteristic! What's next? Automatic selfing and uploading photos to instagram? Weather forecast? PS5 connectivity to play "God Of War" while cruising? Making espresso for the road?
the lower seat height on the hornet is not a con...i personally know a few experienced riders who sold off their bikes and got the hornet because it feels and fits great for most folks... that's why it's selling so good.. honda ain't that stupid
As an older fella here in Australia who hasn’t ridden in a while I’ve been looking around for some time for the best bike that would suit for a more casual ride. Being a big fan of Japanese bikes and KTMs I’ve been looking at the five and although spoilt for choice I have to say that the Suzuki GSX-8S would be my choice as I’m looking for something fun that I can simply putt around on and not for a racer. Mind saying that I will be trying more than just the GSX-8S but I’ll be avoiding the the Z650 and the CB650R as both are limited to 40kw here in Australia as learner approved bike and don’t have a unrestricted version like the MT07 or the SV650. As I’m a pensioner and the lack of dealer network and the big money for these European bikes in this country the 790 Duke, Trident 660 and the Tuono 660 would be out.
With all things considered, the only 3 bikes you should be choosing here is the MT07, the CB650R and the Tuono 660. This then narrows it down to what do you prefer, low end, mid range, or high end performance. There is an exception, which is the Trident 660 and that bike is for the "sensible rider" tick box aka Mr Boring, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the Triumph is a great bike. This is how I would rank them, personally........... 1. Tuono 660 (I would choose this third) 2. MT07 (I would choose this first) 3. CB650R (I would choose this second) 4. Triumph Trident 660 (6th) 5. KTM Duke (I would choose this 5th) 6. Suzuki SV650 (I would choose this 4th) 7. Suzuki GSX-8S (9th) 8. Honda CB750 Hornet (7th) 9. Kawasaki Z650 (8th) Even though I wouldn't choose the bikes in the order ranking I have given, the order ranking goes down to the bikes as a whole and what they offer.
@@latifalowe8590 Begginer as in never rode a motorcycle before? then no! Begginer as in has learnt to ride already and ready to get their first bike, and is sensible then yes! Those bikes have a lot of power and will kill someone in a split second if they aren't careful and in control. But you will also get the same thing with a scooter, just they don't have anywhere nears as much power as a MT07 does. In an ideal world a beginner should start with the 250-500 category, something like a Ninja 400 before going on the middleweight bikes, however, that doesn't mean you can't start on a middleweight bike. Just think about it like this, if your child has just passed their driving test are you going to get them a Ferrari as their first car? or would you get them a BMW M5? or would you get them something small, compact, and sensible so that they can learn in before they go get a nice, fast car? Because the same thing translates into the bike world, the MT07 would be the M5, the Ninja 400 would be a Honda Civic type R, a 250 would be your regular volkswagen, toyota everyday cars essentially. An MT07 does 0 to 60mph in around 3.2sec or something like that I can't be bothered to look it up to be factually correct, and if you want a car that can do that, you are looking in the fast car category, not your everyday car. Now can a newly passed driver jump in a Ferarri and drive it? sure they can, but there is a very high chance things will go wrong, and the chances of them killing themselves is a lot higher. See what I am saying? So the answer is yes, but not a good idea
Wish the Tuono had bigger engine with more torque in low/mid rpm. Very high quality bike though. The first engines early in 2021 had conrod failures due to improper heat-treatment which was a recall and are bulletproof otherwise. Aprilias are the italian Hondas in quality terms, i think.
I wouldnt put a single cent into KTM 790. Tried it and the feel is so cheap, instead go for CF MOTO NK 800 Advance, since they are already building engine for KTM, they got plenty of features for that price.
As i tried most of them… i might go with either gsx8s, tuono 660 or maybe sv650 (since i owna ducati monster xD) Hornet is a pass for me. Rather get suzuki or aprilia rival, more polished finish.
We could have add the ducati scrambler 800 to be fair… nice bike and would go for that one as i own 937 monster. Tho, the scrambler 1200 looks much more premium and polished, and monster is much more aggressive design matching ktm790, gsx8s or mt07 spirit.
Idk I watched the used market and bought a Yamaha R1 for 6,000. Came with full exhaust and was tuned with new tires. If you are not afraid of tinkering with bikes and want a much better price I suggest a used bike. Literbike isn't naked or beginner so find a bike that you can handle and learn on.
If I was in the first world I would own the Kawasaki for my playful days, then the MT for my commute and the SV as my backup asking me to pick only one would drive me crazy and yes I hate paying for a laptop when getting a bike.
Guys what do you think, better Hornet750 with 5000km or a MT09 2018 with 34000 KM? Actually I have a SV650 but I'm looking for somthing more confortable sit and a little more long ride in 2. I Like nacked bike but still would like some more confort eheh
You'll get well-deserved push back on the Tuono, because it is a sport bike with flat bars, not a naked bike. What makes a naked bike "naked" is the stripping away of fairing and windshield. It's almost like there's a clue in the name, or something. 😊 The Tuono has both. It's not a naked bike.
The word "affordable" is ashamed of itself now 😢
Was thinking the same... Especially as someone from eastern europe, prices are roughly the same as in UK. The Trident 660 is a great bike. I thoroughly enjoy mine. From the city to the twisted roads, it's a lot of fun.
They handle so great. I like the styling and build quality.
I have owned my Trident a few years now and am very pleased!

The SV650 is the one, I tell ya.

The Tuono 660 would be top of my list.

I’m in this market for the coming Summer. Defo leaning towards the retro-ish styling of bikes like the CB650R and the Trident
@@rogerp4612 Agree! A couple of years ago I had the CB650 aswell. It's a better bike.
(But now I have the 790 Duke!)
The cb would the one for me.
@@shawnolson4522 If it is still possible, give it a Boosterplug. I did that on my -19 model and that made a big difference in the lower rpm's and midrange. Much stronger.
I got a Honda Hornet and totally love it, its a great bike.
I'm jealous
@@-Eternal-Damnation- It is a really good bike, and can do "distance" Touring work as well as fun in the twisties. I fitted a rack and Screen and it works lovely
I have seen a few second hand ones for as little as 5.5k,
At £6999 at launch it was a very tempting proposition
@@lgrw660factory Mine was about £7400 as I had the quick shifter and heated grips
MV Augustas are DEFINITELY a work of art when it comes to motorcycles. Dream bike for me. One day, I'll own one 🙏
I went with a Trident last year , all good so far. I got a good trade in on my previous bike from the triumph dealer which helped with the choice.
I would definitely go for the Honda 650 or the Triumph trident
Unfortunately the Benellis seem they're made out of depleted uranium. They're heavy as f....
I won't buy from CCP Motors. I wouldn't buy the Chinese KTM either. It's philosophical with me, not "racism".
Better than mt 07?
@@bogdanzivkovic8821 Much better. Another league. Better than the MT09 aswell.
I’m happy with my Z 650
I was gonna buy the KTM Duke 790 until I found out you have to pay extra to unlock the quick shifter. Then I just bought an MT09 $9500 (7,500 pounds).
I wish in the UK we could go from A2 to A license without having to pay all over again. These all look super fun and not too dangerous to upgrade to!
The licence laws are ridiculous in Britain. If you can afford to insure it, you should be able to ride it.
The CB650r is an absolute beauty. If only I had more disposable income at the moment 😅
The 2-3 upshift at redline on the CB650R never gets old.
@@-Eternal-Damnation-my favorite is the last couple years of cb650f
Priller, no question. Would look great next my Z900RS. Glad ya threw it in there!
GSX8S for me. Not the best bike but the best all round package for me when you also factor in reliability & warranty.
I bought the 500 Hornet as a commuter, I reckon the 750 Hornet would be a blast.
I chose the Ducati Scrambler Icon, not on the list but very nice
This list shows me two things:
I got my eye on a Z900RS
So do I. Love the looks of it
Z650RS would be a nice option and less outdated than the Z650, since it has a retro/classic style. 😅
I got my GSX-8S for $1500 USD less than RRP last month and it is a gem.
CB650R.
4 cylinders i 2 more than 2 cylinders.
And i love the cyberpunk looks.
No mention of the cf moto
Agree on the pricing strategy i just don’t think the Tuono is in many peoples considerations because of it but I picked up a brand new MY 23 Tuono 660 factory model for £7950 on the road towards the end of October last year after some back & forth 😉
I test rode the hornet, mt, trident & lastly the Tuono, it’s way ahead of those other bikes in all areas imo & it definitely sits in a higher bracket. 100bhp, QS, rider modes, traction, cruise, good brakes/suspension & handling, great to look at & If it stays reliable 🤞🏻 I’ll be very happy i picked one up instead of the other contenders.
I did the same, more or less, and ended up with a Tuono 660 Factory. Excellent bike. No regrets.
Same 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That test rider of the Duke can really put up a show. I like him!
You mentioned the KTM Duke and how it's coordinated with CFmoto, but you didn't mention the CFmoto CLX700
So honda e clutch is basically quick shifter?
Trident or Hornet clear favorites with the Trident winning on the looks!
After over 20 years of riding (also still keeping a bike just for track days), I'm just waiting on the Trident in the color I want to arrive at my local dealership.
I've got a cb500fa 2019 I think I would go for the 750 hornet ..Honda bullet proof engine and frugal fuel consumption just sells it to me.
Expecting the same video for adventure bikes
aprilia shiver 750, bought mine used for 3500€ early january this year
Best budget naked? Than where is the benelli 752s, cfmoto 650nk, cfmoto 800nk, qjmotor srk700?
Man gsx8s looks amazing
CB650r for me. I love the looks of that bike.
I’d go for the KTM, a friend has got the Hornet which I must admit looks so much better in the flesh than the first photos I saw.
Bright orange paint on such a beautiful machine is a mystery to many . 🤔
CF Moto NK800 should be a consideration
Not should, must!
Bought the 660 , fantastic bike , can't walk away without looking back at it 😂
SV650
Where is the CFMOTO offering ?
Street triple 765R is one of the best naked bike out here for road focus.
We are up to the point where "phone connectivity" is a motorcycle characteristic! What's next? Automatic selfing and uploading photos to instagram? Weather forecast? PS5 connectivity to play "God Of War" while cruising? Making espresso for the road?
'God of War' no but... MotoGP... 😄😉
if yamaha hires a stylist from mv augusta to redesign the mt 07 that would be my pick
I own the 2018 blue mt07 but I want the 4 cyl CB650R it looks amazing. Then I want a FTR1200
the lower seat height on the hornet is not a con...i personally know a few experienced riders who sold off their bikes and got the hornet because it feels and fits great for most folks... that's why it's selling so good.. honda ain't that stupid
1. Tuono 660 (I would choose this third)
2. MT07 (I would choose this first)
3. CB650R (I would choose this second)
4. Triumph Trident 660 (6th)
5. KTM Duke (I would choose this 5th)
6. Suzuki SV650 (I would choose this 4th)
7. Suzuki GSX-8S (9th)
8. Honda CB750 Hornet (7th)
9. Kawasaki Z650 (8th)
Even though I wouldn't choose the bikes in the order ranking I have given, the order ranking goes down to the bikes as a whole and what they offer.
Is the mr07 a beginner friendly bike ?
What about the CFMoto 800nk?
Wish the Tuono had bigger engine with more torque in low/mid rpm. Very high quality bike though. The first engines early in 2021 had conrod failures due to improper heat-treatment which was a recall and are bulletproof otherwise. Aprilias are the italian Hondas in quality terms, i think.
I wouldnt put a single cent into KTM 790. Tried it and the feel is so cheap, instead go for CF MOTO NK 800 Advance, since they are already building engine for KTM, they got plenty of features for that price.
I wouldn't touch any KTM engine whether in a KTM or CF Moto or any other chinese garbage.Camlobes made of biscuit ( google it). Fkin grade A toss.
To sum up:
Gsx8 no, z650 no, 750 hornet no, go for a z900 or ktm890 or mt09 or cb650r.
660 trident no, go for a street triple.
hard to go past the Hornet from this list for 2 main reason....Value and Reliability
As i tried most of them… i might go with either gsx8s, tuono 660 or maybe sv650 (since i owna ducati monster xD)
Hornet is a pass for me. Rather get suzuki or aprilia rival, more polished finish.
Tbh the ktm is also an awesome bike, but subscription options and the seat comfort is a pain…
Are there any good youtubers you recommend for me to watch? Learning from scratch here 👌🏾
If I was in the first world I would own the Kawasaki for my playful days, then the MT for my commute and the SV as my backup asking me to pick only one would drive me crazy and yes I hate paying for a laptop when getting a bike.
Guys what do you think, better Hornet750 with 5000km or a MT09 2018 with 34000 KM?
Actually I have a SV650 but I'm looking for somthing more confortable sit and a little more long ride in 2. I Like nacked bike but still would like some more confort eheh
Tuono is just beautiful
You'll get well-deserved push back on the Tuono, because it is a sport bike with flat bars, not a naked bike. What makes a naked bike "naked" is the stripping away of fairing and windshield. It's almost like there's a clue in the name, or something. 😊 The Tuono has both. It's not a naked bike.
But the Tuono is bloody good, so there’s that 😃
@@lgrw660factory so is the Fireblade - which is also not a naked bike. 😄
Forgot about the CFMoto 800NK.
Moto Guzzi V7?
The z650 and cb650 are probably the best looking
cb650r and mt09 the same price here what should i get
Great review. 🎉🎉🎉 thanks. KTM rider Brisbane Australia.
you hardly mention the BMW F900 R, does it not qualify as a naked bike?
probably because its more expensive and significantly heavier then the other bikes on this list at least here in america
If it's above 94hp and 800cc then probably on another list like Mt09, KTM 890, Ducati monster.
Camshaft failure videos of KTM and other issues besides might be worth a look at before choosing 🤔
