- Welcome! These clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital many from the 70's, 80's and 90's. SADLY, I DON'T HAVE THE ORIGINAL AIR DATES! There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. A National Treasure...we miss you...❤
R.I.P Stephen Sondheim and Angela Lansbury!
Here for 96 years yet gone too soon. This made me cry.
How many times can you say you just saw a song being perfectly acted? At least once now. Legend Dame Angela
I've just watched a masterclass with Sondheim teaching this song and Lansbury does it exactly as he describes. This must have been heaven for him, to hear someone one like Lansbury perfectly translate what is in your mind.
Rest in Peace - wonderful talent wonderful human being ❤
What a lovely interpretation of this song. Lansbury finds many different levels of irony, humor, pain, self-mockery, and bitterness. How I wish the number hadn't been abridged. But what we have here is WONDERFUL.
Marvelous song, great composer and one of my absolutely preferred actresses!!
May she rest peacefully. 💜 #AngelaLansbury
We will miss you so much, Angela 🤍🎶🙏🏼
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
Great artist. She expressed everything with her voice and the gestures of her face.
RIP, Ms. Lansbury
RIP Stephen Sondheim
Ms Lansbury did a great job. How many women can command a stage at 93 and sing that well? I loved it.
This is a 1993 clip, so Ms. Lansbury was "only" 68 years old at the time. But yes, she was beautiful and commanded the stage.
Splendida attrice...poliedrica e molto fine. Bravissima Angela Lansbury
“One who keeps tearing around one who can’t move” is a brutal, beautiful lyric.
Amazing! Thank you so much for posting! Amgela Lansbury is so talented. Your channel is incredible, there are so many treasured performances that are a real honour to see. Thank you again!
Descansa en Paz. Nos acompañó siempre a muchos de nosotros
Brava...
What a treasure!
A career for 10 lives 🎭🎶♥️
not long notes held, like Glynis Johns, but her recitation itself makes an art, longer version would be appreciated, but
SONDHIEM WROTE IT for Glynnis saying he needed an actress who could sing a little.not the other way around. Well done Angela.RIP
💛
Perfavore amo molto questa donna, Ma non conosco l inglese, mettete i sottotitoli in italiano. Grazie
Glynis johns is still the best, though Bernadette Peters version in the musical was a close second. Never recorded, though a video on here.
That tilt up of his head like he was answering a question in a conversation. This wasnt just a performance, this was a memory. And Angela brought it back from the past for him
