Chunk has got into a confrontation with many bears this year. And he attacked and killed 128 Grazer's cub (503's younger younger sibling). And he ate 402's body, after taking her body from 469. Then he goes after 602 about a week ago. What is going on with Chunk? I understand he wants every bear to know he is the dominate bear, but dang.
Any dominant bear world have attacked the cub. It basically floated straight into him. 128 did a mistake bringing such a small cub to the falls. She should have treed it. Same with 402's body, bears are cannibals.
@@terre08Many of the bears at Brook’s Falls learned to fish the lip by being brought there by their Mothers. It is part of the bear culture not poor Mothering by Grazer. There have been many cubs killed by Dominant Boars in a variety of scenarios but I believe Smalls unfortunately went right into Chunks space. Keep in mind the Bears are opportunistic and also eat small animals. IMO 402 was dying or very ill & the smell prompted a response in 469. When her spirit left the body she became meat and a part of the circle of life.
@@HoldYourHorses4I wondered whether 402 was ill. When 856 startled her while she was napping, I thought I saw her drooling indicative of illness. She seemed that she lost weight, too, and was not eating salmon as voraciously as in the past. Thank you for your insight.

Just watched the video of when Holly adopted 503 when he was left alone as a cub. 402 was his mother. He's become a big boy.
503 looks so much bigger than Chunk here.

I don't know about that because there were other bears that steered clear of the cub.
