The question is WHY do they play in this " leggy," or I'd say lethargic, way ? Why don't they go out every game with a mindset that wants to win challenges and second balls? It's no good saying "the lads knew at half time how bad they were playing," they should be ready to put a shift in from the kick off!! I can't understand why they lose focus in games, their passing and decision making is so poor too often and their lapse in concentration is worrying. They need to adopt the manager's competitiveness because they lack that edge for some reason.
I actually feared they might play like it today too, because they seem to freeze in front of our large crowds at home and the amount that went up would make it seem too much like a partisan home crowd! 😄 crazy isn't it!

Several reasons - some players are more or less automatic selections and that can often produce a mindset of believing they won't be dropped no matter what; others are inexperienced so their performances are somewhat flat, while the most obvious is one or two are not good enough to be playing at this level
