    In fairness, Dijkstra's spelling is technically correct. In Dutch there isn't really a y they glue the i and j together to effect that sound so that's how you get the name as it is. For example it really is Feijenoord instead of Feyenoord but they along with Dykstra and Dirk Kuyt (Kuijt) have all done this to make it easier for non-Dutch speaking people so this is one occasion where Merlin didn't really misspell his name.

    • @Retro-Football-Club
      @Retro-Football-Club  Месяц назад

      It’s a fair comment. However Marker played more than double of the amount of games that Slater played for Blackburn, he was also a well known Football League player before and after he left Rovers in 1997. Slater although remaining in the Premiership (other than maybe at Southampton) he never really played all that much in England. The bulk of his appearances were in Australia and France which made him still fairly obscure. You’re right about Makel and Talia neither of them had a sticker.

      In all honesty because we are a channel in our infancy, editing and recording equipment costs money. The Ai (Alan) for all his little quips and shudders is actually pretty good in comparison to other robotic voices you hear, he at least sounds human and is British which is why we use him. His inclusion on our channel hasn’t been an issue for the vast majority of people who watch and has earned a nickname amongst subscribers. So whilst we continue to make content that is still gaining good views and lots of positive comments we don’t see an immediate issue to hand him his P45 and boot him back to the web just yet. We do however plan to go human at some point, but in all honesty, I prefer our electronic pal’s dulcet tones to ours at the moment. One day we’ll move on to it, but for now we can take the odd criticism here and there🤙🏻

As ever you’re welcome to your opinion and welcome to watch whatever you like, however for every comment like yours we’ve had more that are positive, so for now, whilst the AI approach isn’t for everyone, it’s viable for us, it works for us and the videos featuring the voice are actually gaining a lot of views.
