Hello to both of you. Welcome to Msia & Try to go to the Bazar Ramadan in Putrajaya. I think there is some food that you did not see in other Bazar. TQ very much.✌
One of the reasons Muslims fasting is to deepen and understand the feelings and conditions of poor people who live hungry or have no food. Therefore we will feel grateful to God and want to help the poor community. For example, we will understand how the people of Gaza/Palestine feel. So we feel sad and want to help them.
Ohh amazing! We are so glad we tried it then! It makes sense that we hadn't seen it around in many other places. Tepung Palita is definitely one of our favourites now! 😊
6:57 you guys missed the ' keria gula melaka ' kinda local donut made of sweet potato coated with palm sugar @ gula melaka....it must be on your bucket list too...
@@DisappearforDays please don't forget Nasi Dagang.... although I'm from Johor I really fall in love Nasi Dagang origin from Terengganu. Other than that I fully recommend satar and lompat tikam.

The inner part of onde2 is filled with gula melaka (sugar made from the coconut sap), i think the same can be made from maple syrup when the water fully evaporated.
Oh really! 🤦 We just saw it and thought it would be a good idea to try and cross them off. Which foods would you recommend which you can only get during Ramadhan?

u miss bubur lambuk kampung baru mosque guys... its really good n u can get it free at there after 5pm n it is only made during Ramadhan... i can't believe its not on the list
Salam ramadhan, the filling in onde-onde is gula melaka(palm sugar). Tepung pelita like most dessert tastes better when its cold, try put it in the fridge and eat it later 👌
We loved both of them. As we had some left over Tepung pelita, we put it in the fridge and had it early today. It was so much better, almost refreshing to eat! ☺
Kuih Keria is a sweet potato donut. (Sweet potato + flour). And the glaze is either white sugar or palm sugar (gula Melaka). Kuih Paneram is shaped like a donut or giant button. The dough is made from all purpose flour & rice flour. The caramel sugar (white and palm sugar) is pour into the flour mix to form sticky dough. Both are nice.

go to Kampung Bharu one, it’s much better. The Bukit Bintang’s it just a recent one and caters mostly for tourists and foreigners hence higher food prices
Hi Yasin! Thanks for watching, it's really lovely being back, but we do have a backlog of videos still to come out in other countries lol! There was so much food in the bazaar we wish we could have bigger stomachs to try more! 🤣
@@DisappearforDaysDon't be afraid to try more street food from the Ramadan baazar because some of the food are only available during Ramadan. You may like some, you may also don't really enjoy some. Play it by the ear, most of the times, those food are quite good. Good to have you guys back in KL, Welcome back to Malaysia. 😀
Thank you so much! It's such a pleasure to be back, it almost feels like home! We're looking to film a good few more video's over the next few months whilst we are in Malaysia around Ramadan and Eid! Do you have any recommendations of food we missed on this video that you think would be good to try? ☺
@@DisappearforDays Most of the times, you will find some of the food during Ramadan bazaar, also available at some of the pasar malam around KL and Malaysia. I've not been to either the pasar malam or bazaar Ramadan for quite some time now. If I visit one, there are too much to choose, I probably get some of my favorites like satay, murtabak, ayam bakar or ayam percik, lots of kueh etc. I haven't tried the nasi mandi and lamb shank, last year I saw it in a video at TTDI, yesterday I saw it in a video in Shah Alam. The pasar malam in Bandar Baru Sentul where I used to live also has bazaar Ramadan, it's quite convenient to go there as you can take lrt to Sentul Station, or even go to the popular Ramadan baazar in Kampung Baru by taking the monorail to Chow Kit Station. As for the best food to try from those open markets, you have to tepuk dada tanya selera, literally means, ask your appetite. Nasi minyak and nasi tomato with the accompanying dishes could be good to try. Sometimes nasi ayam with ayam madu could be nice. Perhaps if you see nasi kerabu with daging salai or ayam percik could be tempting so as nasi dagang. I've seen lots of new food at open markets and also at the Ramadan baazar, but mostly from videos. Just enjoy your time and it'll help to go early around 3pm to avoid crowd. Enjoy your exploration. 😀
This is such a nice comment, thank you ☺️ We thought it was suitable not to eat and tempt people, I'm so glad you appreciated it! We love Malaysia so much ❤️🇲🇾
Thank you for letting us know! We've never properly used our hands to eat before as it's never been introduced to us in western culture, but it would be interesting to learn!
Glad you manage to find and eat most on your list. 👍🤤😋 Next time you might want to try “Bubur Lambuk”. It is delicious rice porridge cooked with coconut milk. It usually given free at some mosque in the evening during Ramadhan. Another thing some Malaysian like to do during Ramadhan is break their fasting at “Buka Puasa Buffet” at hotel’s restaurant. You might give it a try. There are lots promotions during this time. The price and dishes varies depending on venue.

there are frozen samosas in the supermarket by numerous brands like Ramly, PA Foods etc. but they're mass produced, not as good as homemade ones you can buy on the street. however, there are also legit frozen homemade ones with homemade samosa skin. but they're not widely available. you need to ask the locals if there's any in your area.
Yeah, frozen ones are definitely not half as good as these ones, they were perfect! Thanks for the tip, we'll have to ask around and see if we can find some. They would make a perfect late night snack! 😋😂
Thank you! We do have more Cambodia/Vietnam videos out in the near future, but we are back in Malaysia until June now, so expect to see more of us weaved in and around our other videos ☺️❤️
Nasi lemak that is packed with banana leaf always taste the best. The aroma produced by the warm nasi and the leaf is so nice. If it is yellow colour then probably using northen / nasi utara recipe which is slightly different then regular nasi lemak. It is more aromatic from extra spices then usual white nasi lemak. However it is rare to find in the central Malaysia and more commonly found in the northen area. If you can find it in KL, stick to it! 😁 Enjoy!
Oh awesome, that's so good to know we had one which isn't commonly found! It was absolutely amazing and the owners were wonderful! Aromatic is the perfect word for it! Such a beautiful flavour to it. We want to eat it again already 😂
@@DisappearforDays i am from northen part myself but live in KL. To find "nasi lemak utara" is a bit difficult in KL. Even in Kedah/Penang not all stall selling yellow nasi lemak/nasi lemak kuning. After seeing your video might need to go this TTDI bazaar ramadhan myself 😁Like the lady in your video said she's been buying the nasi lemak for 100 years now 😅 Thank you for the video now i know where to find it 😁
No problem at all! I'm so glad we could help, and they definitely deserve the business. They were such a lovely couple! The nasi lemak was brilliant as well, definitely worth the trip over! If you do go, let us know! It would be great to hear from you ☺️

Since you guys missed the murtabak maggi, you cant cross it off yet! You can get some from the Bazar Ramadhan Kg Penchala that isnt too far away from TTDI. Its not half bad. Bon appetit!
Thank you! It's been such an amazing experience! We had just missed out on it last year as we hadn't yet moved, but we're so glad we got to experience it this year! ☺️❤️
We did actually try the pickled onion with it, but didn't catch it on camera, it went so well! A nice sourness to it contrasted it's other flavours perfectly! 😀👨🍳
The Putrajaya bazaar is quite far for us to visit at the minute, but we are looking to see whether we can go in the future to check it out as it sounds amazing! 😁
Other than Tepung Pelita there are some kuih alike such as Tepung Bungkus, Koci, Nagasari. Lepat, Pulut Panggang, Puteri 2 sebilik, Badak Berendam and many more. You should ask and try those kinds of kuih❤
We did see that one but unfortunately we are not big fans of durian! Check out our video of the first time we tried it here 👉 ruclips.net/video/O6Net4OYJrU/видео.htmlsi=XWaQtZu6StSSY_WD 💚
The way you comment about that murtabak being soggy reminds me of that one episode of (I think) MasterChef UK where one of the judges said rendang chicken (that was prepared by one of the contestants) was bad because its not crispy.
Ohh nooo, we know that episode and I hated on John Torode for it for ages! Please don't tell me we've done the same as well! 😅 We had no idea it wasn't meant to be crispy, please forgive us 🙏😂
Yup that was almost the perfect list. And i think the vendors were quite good ones. Sometimes you have vendors that are quite new or not so good. It can be hit and miss. But TTDI I heard is quite an established bazaar with many good vendors.
Oh perfect, I'm glad we did a good job then! Sounds like we picked a good bazaar to go to as well! All of the food we had was amazing, so I definitely think it's a good one to visit if you're nearby! Only a 10 minute walk from TTDI MRT as well if you don't want to get stuck in the traffic! 😁☺️
Hi,thanks for reviewing our ramadhan meal 🤭 That seri muka might be a disappointment I guess, it should not be that hard 🤭 anyway,I'm sure the taste is fine . I got a suggestion for u to try, it's called - "kuih peneram" 👍 Enjoy your day here and ya, safety first 💗
Hi! 👋 Thank you for watching us review it! The series muka was definitely a slight bit too hard, but the flavour was still amazing! Thank you for the suggestion, we'll have to see if we can find it some time and give it a go! They look interesting - what flavour are they? ☺️
love this episode, and i had tears running looking at how we muslim local always cheer eventho sometimes we had tough day ahead.. for onde-onde, dont worry about the middle part, it was The palm sugar or coconut palm sugar... or gula melaka, and not artificial one, used widely in asian food cooking, Gula Melaka from Malaysia is made primarily from the saps of coconut palms. fun fact - Is Gula Melaka healthy? It is not an elixir for your body for sure, but a much better option than most of the sweeteners you will find. Gula Melaka has a naturally low glycemic index (GI). GI is a measure of how food impacts blood sugar. Gula Melaka has got GI35 compared to Agave GI42, Honey at GI55 and Sucrose at GI64. Besides that, you will find it is richer in micronutrients because it’s less processed than industrial sugars. Well, not only Gula Melaka is a healthier option for you, but it is also in use as a medicine. In Indian Ayurvedic medicine is used to treat throat and lung infections.
We're so glad you enjoyed it! It's so inspiring how everyone is in such good spirits. As we said in the video, I don't think we would be 😂 Ahh that makes sense, we've had onde onde before which is more smooth, but maybe as it's more processed and not home made! These onde onde were some of the best though so must have had some high quality gula melaka! That's an interesting fact! You learn something new every day 🤓
We have! We've had it quite a few times, but show it on video when Emma's brother came to visit! Go give it a watch if you haven't already, it's a good one 😁❤️
I won't lie, I had to Google who she was so wouldn't have any idea that her brother was there! 😂 That's a really good spot though, maybe we should've said hi! 😅
Now Muslim holly month, Ramadhan is waiting for everyone, especially tourists to Malaysia, and as a Malaysian, I appreciate to all of you. Hopefully, after this, there will be no more islamophobia in the Western community.
Thank you so much for watching! Experiencing Ramadhan does open your eyes to how difficult this time of year must be during the fasting period, but also the teaching behind it. Hopefully we are helping to reduce Islamophobia by teaching people more about the religions practices and sharing our experiences with Muslims ☺️
We knew it was slightly different, but was really craving some good nasi lemak and we weren't disappointed! I don't think we've ever seen yellow either, blue maybe, but it was something different! 😊
Yes, start with a list but don't go with just things on the list... we feast with our eyes first... if you see something you like, go for it!!! Have a doughnut or two if you want... !! LOL

Happy Ramadhan Al Mubarak to both of you, I can see how both of you are super friendly to Malaysian people and I really happy. actually both of you are very suitable to be a Malaysian. Have a Happy Live in Malaysia Always guys. ❤
Happy Ramadhan to you also! We love Malaysia and it's people, everyone is so friendly, there's no reason for us not to be friendly back! ☺ If you didn't already know, I (Jacob) am actually Half Chinese-Malaysian myself 😄 Thank you for your well wishes ❤️
jacob is half malaysian la
Best of the best.....from Malaysia with love❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much, all the best during Ramadhan! ☺ ❤️
I love your accent ❤.
Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾👍
Aww thanks so much 💚 Thank you for watching!
Onde-onde dont make of sugar cane but with 'gula melaka' /sugar from coconut tree
Gula melaka tastes so good, doesn't it? 🤤☺️
Since you guys missed the murtabak maggi, you cant cross it off yet! You can get some from the Bazar Ramadhan Kg Penchala that isnt too far away from TTDI. Its not half bad. Bon appetit!
Ahh we know we bent the rules slightly there 🤐 Thanks for the tip though 😃
Glad you are here!
Thank you! It's been such an amazing experience! We had just missed out on it last year as we hadn't yet moved, but we're so glad we got to experience it this year! ☺️❤️
Good day met...try the 'roti jhon' u will luv it😂😂
That was on the list but we already had bought so much by the time we saw it! Definitely next time 💚
Enjoy your meal guys 😋
Thank you, it was a great meal! We hope you enjoyed the feast! ☺️
Amazing video friend
Thanks so much, we’re glad you enjoyed ☺️
Your tepung pelita pronunciation is spot on...thumbs up
Ahh thank you so much! It makes up for our lack of pronunciation on many other things though 😂😂
You must CEMPEDAK GORENG/fried cempedak
We've never had Cepedak, but it looks like Jack fruit. Does it taste like it also?
The murtabak part u miss eating it with the vinegar onion sauce the pinky small plastic wrap
We did actually try the pickled onion with it, but didn't catch it on camera, it went so well! A nice sourness to it contrasted it's other flavours perfectly! 😀👨🍳
Today u can try go Putrajaya bazar Ramadhan..more verity more type food
The Putrajaya bazaar is quite far for us to visit at the minute, but we are looking to see whether we can go in the future to check it out as it sounds amazing! 😁
Other than Tepung Pelita there are some kuih alike such as Tepung Bungkus, Koci, Nagasari. Lepat, Pulut Panggang, Puteri 2 sebilik, Badak Berendam and many more. You should ask and try those kinds of kuih❤
Thank you for the recommendations, we love Kuih so will have to get some more next time we're out! ☺️
If you like durian, the Seri muka does come in durian flavour called Seri muka durian, usually yellow in colour..
😅 We had no idea it wasn't meant to be crispy, please forgive us 🙏😂
@@DisappearforDaysNo need to apologize, it's not your fault, and it doesn't have anything to do with you.. so just chill out😅
Thank you for the reassurance haha, I guess we still have a lot to learn about Malaysia and it's cuisines, but we're loving learning ☺
Thanz so lord to came in Malaysia 🆒🤙😎
Thank you for watching! What was your favourite food on the list? ☺️
@@DisappearforDays i m realy like nasik lemak ayam gorang and All kuih muih tq selamat menyambut hari Raya for all my dear frend 🤙
The kueh pelita is best eaten chilled.
Definitely, we had a few left over which we ate just today and they were much much better! 🤤
Selamat datang di malaysia❤
Thank you, it's been so nice being here. It feels like a 2nd home already 😃
Also, what other items would you add to make it perfect? We'd love to know and see if we can give them a try! ☺️
Enjoy your food guys
Thank you Keang, it was great as always 😍
support from Cambodia
Thank you so much for watching! 🇬🇧❤️🇰🇭
Alhamdulillah 🥺❤
the donuts @ bombolini is a must try item...
Ahh we saw so many great looking doughnuts but Emma was very regimented about sticking to the list 😅 Maybe next time 😃
Omg .Got 30 days fasting month...You should try everything here....❤ From🇲🇾
We will try our best! 😅💚
Hi,thanks for reviewing our ramadhan meal 🤭
That seri muka might be a disappointment I guess, it should not be that hard 🤭 anyway,I'm sure the taste is fine .
I got a suggestion for u to try, it's called -
"kuih peneram" 👍
Enjoy your day here and ya, safety first 💗
Hi! 👋
Thank you for watching us review it! The series muka was definitely a slight bit too hard, but the flavour was still amazing! Thank you for the suggestion, we'll have to see if we can find it some time and give it a go! They look interesting - what flavour are they? ☺️
8:09 that sata just rolled away 😂😆
😂 Yes! We only noticed it when we were editing 😅
love this episode, and i had tears running looking at how we muslim local always cheer eventho sometimes we had tough day ahead..
for onde-onde, dont worry about the middle part, it was The palm sugar or coconut palm sugar... or gula melaka, and not artificial one, used widely in asian food cooking, Gula Melaka from Malaysia is made primarily from the saps of coconut palms.
fun fact -
Is Gula Melaka healthy?
As we said in the video, I don't think we would be 😂
Ahh that makes sense, we've had onde onde before which is more smooth, but maybe as it's more processed and not home made! These onde onde were some of the best though so must have had some high quality gula melaka!
That's an interesting fact! You learn something new every day 🤓
cucur jawa is one of my fav. love the chewy.
It was great! Definitely one we want to get again! Super chewy 😁
Try Nasi Lemak at Village Park and Wan Jo. These are the top-rated.
We have been recommended Village Park before so we’ll definitely have to give it a try at some point! 💚
fyi Tepung pelita is set in a banana leave box and steamed to cook
Thank you for the insights! I'd love to see the whole process of it being made, it tastes so good, I'm sure the process is worth it!
with a capital of 6 pounds, you can eat a variety of food at the ramadhan bazaar & of course with that amount you can't even buy a burger there..
Exactly! The food in the UK is so extortionate sometimes! We much prefer the variety we were able to get with our money here 😅❤️
👍 Malaysian cuisine is top notch lah!
We agree, some of the best in the world! ☺
U can try a few a day. If not its too much for u to eat
Haha, I definitely think it might be too much, one was enough! 😂 But we definitely want to visit some more during the month of Ramadan!
i see ramadhan bazaar. i subscribed 😂🎉😂
😂😂😂 Thank you so much! Hopefully you enjoyed the video also ☺️❤️
Nice video..
Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed watching! ☺️❤️
Malaysia New Song Before Trending 😊👍🏻👍🏻❤👍🏻👍🏻🔥🔥🔥
Steady gang - ( 周星翅Chou xing chi )mv🔥
Just gave it a listen, it's a good song!
i hope when u buy mertabak (chicken or beef) u not get only onion inside
Emma doesn’t like onion so we’ll be avoiding that one probably 😅 Which is your favourite?
Heeello from Johor bahru with ❤❤..😊
Hi there 👋 nice to meet you, thanks so much for dropping by and watching! 🤗
that guy selling nasi lemak is full of energy. fasting all that with that energy. legend hahahah ..love your video
Thanks so much 😊 Yeah, he had so much energy, we absolutely loved it! 😁
Have you ever eaten the thicker version of Apam Balik?
We have! We've had it quite a few times, but show it on video when Emma's brother came to visit! Go give it a watch if you haven't already, it's a good one 😁❤️
I see cupcake aisyah's brother @7:48
I won't lie, I had to Google who she was so wouldn't have any idea that her brother was there! 😂 That's a really good spot though, maybe we should've said hi! 😅
@@DisappearforDays😂
@DisappearforDays she's a famous youtuber, you guys can check it out.. she also did videos of bazaar ramadhan challenge...
I just gave her a watch now! She's got a tonne of subs! Definitely should have said 'hi' then, maybe put in a good word 😂
How about you go to Kl cyberjaya, putrajaya, shah alam,go to bazaar Ramadan
Maybe we will be able to visit a few more over the coming month, that food was so good! 🤤
the leftover satay sauce also goes well with bread. you can refrigerate it and reheat them for later
We did keep the leftover sauce, thanks for the tip 😃💚
Hey that’s a great idea! Waste not want not that’s what I say
Definitely, I have the same morals, we must have been raised well 😉
nasi ayam and nasi lemak ayam is different, tho i rarely see yellow nasi lemak
We knew it was slightly different, but was really craving some good nasi lemak and we weren't disappointed! I don't think we've ever seen yellow either, blue maybe, but it was something different! 😊
Nasi lemak with banana leaf always the best
Definitely! 💯
Yes, start with a list but don't go with just things on the list... we feast with our eyes first... if you see something you like, go for it!!! Have a doughnut or two if you want... !! LOL
We definitely feast with our eyes! 😍 We should have been a bit more flexible with it but also didn’t want to end up with too much food! 😅
😮wow nine
Hahaha correct! We wish we could have completed the list though! Where should we go to finish the rest off? We can't wait to try them all 😊
uncle is very happy selling nasi lemak 😂😂 like 10 year old
He was a legend! Haha, so much energy 😂❤️
i love crispy apam balik
We love apam balik too, especially the one in Chinatown 😋
yg nsi lemak tu .akkk tu pkai LA sock . dah TGH lm dah dlm vid .dok MCM tu jgk
Sorry, google translate isn't picking up your comment, but thank you so much for watching! ☺
@@DisappearforDays he's complaining to the seller who's not wearing gloves when handling food😅
Ohhh right! Thank you so much for the translation, we were a bit lost 😅
Hopefully you guys really enjoy the MALAY foods during this ramadhan..BTW you guys must visit PUTRAJAYA BAZAAR RAMADHAN is 1 of the largest bazaar in Malaysia with 160 stall need to be explore..see you guys in putrajaya...
Wow, there are so many stalls in Putrajaya! Unfortunately it is quite a while away from us, but we really do want to visit, so watch this space! Hopefully we'll be able to make our way there as we've heard it's one of the best! 😁😋
The food...is it good?
It was great! Watch til l the end to see our reactions ☺️
For the onde-onde, she didnt like the unmelted gula melaka, but thats exactly what i like😂 i like it abit unmelted in mine
Oh really 😂 I guess it's all personal taste. Jacob seemed to like the crunchy gula melaka in the middle as well! 😂
Patut lah aku tak kebagian nak beli barang di bazar ramadhan rupanya awak yg dah beli dulu kasih habis😅😅😅
Haha, yeah they sell out really quickly! You gotta get there fast, hopefully next time you can make it. The food was 💯
