Yeah, supermarket ones are cheap, gross and have disgusting jelly in it, but all the traditional home made ones, they don't have jelly jn and they are great!
Can I just say, rice pudding can be delicious when made properly, in the carribbean island I grew up on, we season the pudding with all sorts of delicious spices like cinnamon and anise. It's very flavorful and sweet... but also we eat it cold. I bet warm rice pudding with jam probs tastes a lot like fresh vomit!
Afternoon tea was not introduced by Queen Victoria, but Anna, 7th Duchess of Bedford in 1840. She was a friend of Queen Victoria though. The sponge cake was named after QV, but back then it was just filled with jam.
When i see someone who is not from Denmark eating rice pudding i kinda get disapointed. Like in Denmark we make the best kind of rice pudding in the world for christmas. Its called Risalamande and is a perfect dessert to have at the end of chrismas eve. It is made from this rice pudding that you have for dinner and you sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on top with a little slice of butter in the middle. The next day you take that and ad whipped cream, suger, vanilla and almonds to the mix. After that you want to heat up some cherry sauce and put on top. It is incredible and there are alot of traditions around it at christmas. You should try it some day along with alot of other danish snacks and i would sent you some if you would want to try it. (The risalamande you can buy already made from the leading dairy company(Arla) in Denmark and its called Risifrutti, but its not as good as the homemade version).
I've tried rice puddings before (having lived in Europe} and my go-to fave is still my Latina Grandma's rice pudding. We call it "Arroz con Leche" (Lit. Rice with Milk). It's served warm and we'd sometimes add raisins, rum, and cinnamon. It was my all-time fave dessert as a kid bc I only got to eat it around holidays. It's definitely worth trying ^^
In Venezuela (and other latin american countries) we have what it looks like to be a yummier version of your rice pudding (from Gabbie's reaction haha). It's called "Arroz con leche", or "rice with milk" in english but you use lemon peel, sweetend condensed milk and cinnamon among other things to give it its taste. It's delicious. I think mexicans also make it, but differently. Oh, and we also make a thick drink frequently made with rice called "chicha" (which doesn't have a translation), also pretty good! (It's not the same as horchata) Gabbie is a cook, she could definitely try to make it!!!
We do it like this too here in Egypt (and I guess in other Arabic countries too) and we call it the same in arabic too "رز بالبن" which exactly means rice with milk.
i am English and live in England and i have never had rice pudding. my fave desserts are: hot brownie and cold ice cream, chocolate cake, apple crumble, cookies, mousse, chocolate brownies and some more that i cant think of right now. if your coming to England try some of these cause they are amazing!
That's like when I went to Norway (I'm Swedish) they asked "Do you want bål?" and in Swedish "bål" is several sodas mixed together in a bowl with fruits in it. And I said YES OFC!!! ........And i got a sausage(?!?) ........ In Norweigan "Bål" is a campfire xD hahaha
As an Australian, I grow up with all these desserts. the only one that is not common but we do have is sticky toffee pudding. I cannot believe you do not like trifle, it is my favorite dessert.

Probably my favourite desert is milk tart. Also have you ever done a South African food video? If you do plan to, please jusr dip the rusks in coffee and don't eat them dry as some of other youtubers have done😂❤

I think we need an episode of Josh and Ollie making these puddings from scratch please!!!!
I love Gabie's laugh. So gleeful and happy.
ollie would be a really good comedian... improv especially. this guy always hits you with the most off-the-cuff, unexpected, and hilarious lines, every video.
Every time Josh talks, and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME to me he just sounds EXACTLY like Bradley James from Merlin.
Like, if someone asked me who was speaking, and played Josh talking then Bradley James I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
I love their videos but, every time I hear Josh talk all I can hear is King Arthur from Merlin and it makes me smile.
Sticky toffee pudding is my FAVE. My grandma steams her own homemade one and its absolutely to DIE for. All of the others are pretty good but rice pudding is A SIN.
You can't forget the beef sauteed with peas and onions in your traditional English trifle!
Interesting fact. That has jelly in it, which means it’s actually not an English Trifle. Traditional English Trifles don’t have jelly in them.
Yeah, supermarket ones are cheap, gross and have disgusting jelly in it, but all the traditional home made ones, they don't have jelly jn and they are great!

Lol that’s when you know you’re best friends, when finishing each other’s sentence to tell a joke. 9:46
Can I just say, rice pudding can be delicious when made properly, in the carribbean island I grew up on, we season the pudding with all sorts of delicious spices like cinnamon and anise. It's very flavorful and sweet... but also we eat it cold.
I bet warm rice pudding with jam probs tastes a lot like fresh vomit!
yeah, no, gotta be cold, I agree!
This was funny! I love Ollie's comments! HHAHA and Gabie's laugh! Hahaha and Also Josh looking done with Ollie HAHHA
"How have you ruined it that quickly??"
Well, it's Ollie being Ollie...
Afternoon tea was not introduced by Queen Victoria, but Anna, 7th Duchess of Bedford in 1840. She was a friend of Queen Victoria though. The sponge cake was named after QV, but back then it was just filled with jam.
"did you just eat it all in one mouthful?" "no?.."(glances at the camera) HAHAHAHA
Really Cool! Nice fact 😄

Thissss the whole time I was is that arroz con leche sin canela and let me tell u I love it
Did I mentioned that I love how Ollie describes food? 😂👌🏻
(It's not the same as horchata)
Gabbie is a cook, she could definitely try to make it!!!
Brownies are American, chocolate cake is French/German, cookies are American, Mousse is French.
they are all pretty british
They are literally not. I don't know how to explain it more simply.
okay, chill
You're welcome.
3:23 The way she said it with her mouth full 😂😂
That's like when I went to Norway (I'm Swedish) they asked "Do you want bål?" and in Swedish "bål" is several sodas mixed together in a bowl with fruits in it. And I said YES OFC!!! ........And i got a sausage(?!?) ........ In Norweigan "Bål" is a campfire xD hahaha
As an Australian, I grow up with all these desserts. the only one that is not common but we do have is sticky toffee pudding. I cannot believe you do not like trifle, it is my favorite dessert.

i dunno why but this is one of my favorite jolly videos (with fish and chips in NZ, eating brainy cheeses with ollie’s dad) so i regularly come here to watch it again haha
I'm dying of cracking up at Ollie's comment on every dessert. you know you shouldn't let Ollie talk about how he thought about the food in front of you bcuz he's gonna ruin the look of it for you. now I can't unsee the 'sweaty bald head' and 'the baby vomit'. Nice episode, btw 👍👍✌✌
Don't forget the steamy cow pat! 👍😂
Ollie’s comments are sooo spot on and soooo funny! Hahaha! I can’t stop watching your videos!
When you guys said pudding, it always reminds me of English black pudding. I think the reason why you guys don't feel awkward about Sundae might be because you have black pudding.
Black pudding is definitely a required taste! Many of us eat it until we find out exactly what it is. 😄
Oh, really? you mean English people took some time to get used to it? I thought it's quite normal and popular food in U.K. I can't wait to eat it!
Laura Deth Now I see not popular XD
When you said Sundae I just thought of the Ice-cream not the Korean food XD
AbasikMusic hahaha yeah many people would probably think like that. You’re right
I would LOVE to see Gabbie, Ollie, and Josh tackle Puerto Rican/Latino foods! (Malta, Flan, Chicharrones, etc.) especially the really lousy frozen Goya versions (empanada/pastelillos, relleno de papa, tostones, arroz con gandules, etc.)
Rice pudding is better cold. If you disagree, you have every right, but that doesn't make it okay.
I like it warm
and with raisins brown sugar and milk...kind of like oatmeal.
Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford started afternoon tea. Queen Victoria stole her thunder.
I live in South Africa and we have quite a lot of deserts with British influences.. Apple crumble is quite popular and trifle as well, but we usually just do jello with custard on top. Probably my favourite desert is milk tart.
Also have you ever done a South African food video? If you do plan to, please jusr dip the rusks in coffee and don't eat them dry as some of other youtubers have done😂❤
As a South African I agree. All the RUclipsrs hate rusks but they're eating them wrong.
rice pudding is one of /THE/ desserts of egypt. we call it “rice with milk”. i don’t know whether we took it from the british during the british occupation or vice versa haha. most prefer eating it cold, sometimes made with rose water. best when topped with shredded coconut & almonds!
I think rice pudding is the same what we have in germany called "Milchreis" means Milk rice and we eat it cold .. but yes its amazing^^
We have it in India too and it's called "Kheer" it great with cinnamon and obviously some dry fruits 😋😋
In arabic countrys 2 we call it ruzz,b haleeb aka rice in milk
"that looks like a sweaty bald head" + gabie's laugh = epic
