That washer behind the variator isn't that a restrictor? I removed mine on my kaliber which has a jog style motor looks identical to yours,I believe you'll get more speed removing if I'm not mistaken
if it was in between the variator and face plate then yes. but Im trying to accommodate the belt thickness for my acceleration. I could remove it to gain top speed but I will loose the acceleration.

I wish I could help you more in person. Once you learn the basics you will get the idea on how to make it on how you can make you scoot how ever you like. example: lighter rollers more higher rev. might loose top speed. Heavier rollers less rev. but more top speed. Springs: same as rollers. stiffer springs will give you higher rev. and loose springs will give you less rev but more top end. you can always play with those. to me its trial and error too and some adjustments on the carb. hope I can help you more.
