thank you for the video! Same issue just arose on my 19 FXLR (runnin FXFBS tank and fuel pump). Got the same fuel sender code - appreciate the honesty. I know many would not have uploaded the video, but this saved me potential $70. Cheers from Texas!
Before removing a sending unit which is more time and pain in the butt than just removing the outer fairing and check the gage. I imagine that the gage would be the first thing anyone would analyse. I read online a procedure many years ago that if the gage goes from zero to full real fast when checking it out that the gage is bad...it should go slowly to full because the buffer is actually working inside. I can't tell you which pins you need to check to do this because it was many years ago I read what the procedure was.

Good shit
Before working pull the main fuse
Did you ever put a new gauge in??? And if so did it fix your issue??
No I’m still dealing with it. It works just bounces lol
could be a connection to the gauge..?
I checked them. They look good. Just a bad gauge. They're known for it.
Trial and error is expensive
Cheaper then going to a dealership
What part did you buy? Link?
