I have had a 229 elite in 40 cal for a few years, 5ish, and when I got the gun I thought something was wrong. The first shot it didn't completely feed the new round, then 2nd, then 3rd. I kept having to bump it to get it in. Then I figured it was the mag. So the next mag was every 2 to 3 shots it did the same thing. I thought wth a 1200 gun and this is what I get? Reload the 1st mag and shot it and 2 of 12 not feed. Again, just had to bump it to get it in. Dry or wet it didn't matter. Then the 4th another 2, 5th 6th 7th downr to 1. Then from there it was every other mag and by 200 250 rounds it was running perfectly, 1.5k or so later no problem. Was pissed at first, by the 3rd mag I was figuring it needed broken in so i stripped it down and ran it completely dry. I guess it was so tight that it just wouldn't feed completely and the slide seemed slow. I ran win165gr and 180 gr, 180gr rem, Underwood 165gr and 200gr and liberty civil defense 60 gr at 2k fps. It didn't much matter. My carry rd now is 165 Underwood with gold dots 1200fps and 528 lb energy absolutely devastating to groundhogs lol and 200gr Underwood for woods carry. Truly an innovative approach. It's more of a bubble level than the normal sight picture, IMO. Much prefer this to the usual front sight blade with an alignment slot cut into the top of a revolver or pistol.

I thought Glock was the way to go before... I was wrong, my dad has his 365 and I have my BB 365 until I’m old enough to get real toys 😄 Sig Sauer baby 💪🏽
First I bot the Sig P365, good gun had some reliability issues. Sold it and bot the 365 XL as soon as it was released. BIG MISTAKE. Failure to cycle, failure to feed and failure to fire. This gun does it all. I can't trust it for anything more than a range gun. Sure it's innovative in size and capacity but reliability is suspect. I love Sig, owning a 229 in 9mm, 227 in .45ACP and 220 in 10mm. All great guns that I would bet my life on to fire when needed. Not the same for the P365. My advice....wait.
Keegan McGilacuddy...EXACTLY what I DID do...waited. And BOUGHT a G43. To go with ALL my other RELIABLE Glocks! I actually HAD a January ‘19 picked out, looked up serial numbers AND they were still having ‘some’ issues. That’s all I needed to know...
Sorry, I REALLY DON’T see this as catching on. A friend at the LGS mentioned these and I was like..”uhhh, don’t thinnnnk so”. I could be wrong but I don’t see it as being ‘intuitive’ AT ALL. I DO see a lot of people staring at the rear of a Sig SAS pistol TRYING TO PERFECTLY LINE UP their sights prior to pulling the trigger instead of concentrating on the ACTUAL target in front of them, and then laying the front sight on that target. Gimmicky is what comes to my mind...
The concept is that the eye visualizing the dot and circle sight does not visualize the target while the second eye visualizing the target does not visualize the sight. The visual cortex of the brain combines into the sight picture in the comprehension of the sight picture on the target... fast and excellent once learned! Two eyes open required sighting system. But most do not enforce one to have two eyes open and all that entails, including maintenance of peripheral vision needed for combat situations. Unfortunately, most sights and many firearms designs / manual of arms of use do not take that into account. So it is like unlearning bad habits to get used to and use properly.
I just got my p365 xl and waiting on the romeo release and your dropping this!? Are you feeling charitable by chance? Hope this is somewhat budget friendly because I must have it. Great idea and in the p365 package...seriously makes me wonder what you all have got coming next. Excellent.
Is there any way to adjust the sight? I love this gun (the SAS) and the sight is amazing, except that it is not accurate. It consistently shoots low and left (and yes I've seen all the videos on how to correct down/left). I've seen videos from experts that have experienced the same thing, so I was wondering if there is a way to diagnose and/or fix it. I still love the gun, but am puzzled by the inaccuracy.
I love my Sig 365 SAS, but the site fires way to the left. I spoke to a friend, who has the same issue. A couple high level shooters have had this same experience. Are you aware of this problem? Is Sig offering a fix? This was an obvious issue as close as 7 yards.
there are 5 safeties on a 1911, well 3, of the 5 are theoretical... grip, thumb and firing pin block... the 4th is the slide lock, the 5th is the operator... they are both the longest serving pistol in military history and the safest firearm known to mankind!
_______ That still in no way justifies using an obsolete pistol design from the second generation era any more than using a canvas bi-plane for transatlantic flight... Modern pistol designs so greatly supercede the original iterations in terms of reliability and repeatability the same way a Bradley IFV supercedes horse infantry and cavalry on a battleground. And every country in the world has moved on to this modern pistol standard in their respective militaries since at least the mid-nineties. So, no offense to the lever gun, machine gun, and pistol crafting genius of John Moses Browning, but the world has had roughly four or five whole new pistol generations since the Hi-Power was completed. Because good ideas always merit refinement. What SIG is doing right now, this, this is future of firearms manufacture and design. For the next thirty years. Whether it be ammo, carbines, accesories, or this 365 SAS pistol, SIG is producing high quality kit with astonishing regularity. Focus on that sight picture... _______

@@chrisminton8563 Woah seriously? I must have been talking to a new guy when he said hopefully soon, getting on the phone now, thanks!
Kyle Riedel the Part # is 2700194RC-01-R
I heard negative comments on the sight system but, man doesn't this look good.
That’s nice!! Great innovation on the site!
I'd be interested to see the ported barrel & slide on the P365XL.
I will now hold-off on upgrading, just in case Sig does release an upgraded XL.
Sheppard - what the hell do you need portal barrel for on any 365? Learn to shoot.
I thought Glock was the way to go before... I was wrong, my dad has his 365 and I have my BB 365 until I’m old enough to get real toys 😄 Sig Sauer baby 💪🏽
Wonderful
IQ bow sight. I dig it!
Since there is no front sight, does the "SIG SAUER P365 IWB Holster" work with this gun?
I'm going to buy this gun.
Looks to be perfect for point and sighted shooting.
They need to make one minus the useless tiny ports.
I’m going to get one !!!
SS no.1 ♠️
So now Sig just needs to sell the SAS slide for my two other P365’s I already have???
Available when?
In stores now.
Damn it, and my Mass compliant version of the P365 with the ambi safety isn't even broken in yet.
Israel police have been using a sight similar to that one with great success.
jshannon5771 yes these are the same sights from meprolight
Take my moneyyyy!!!
Will Sig also release the slide option for current P365 owners?
that would be very nice of @SigSauer #USA #MAGA
You'd have to have the ported barrel to take full advantage of the SAS
Looks good!
Innovation can also be stupid and gimmicky. This is a great example of that
Interesting innovation! Someone clarify please how you would rack the slide one handed.
Will this sight be put into the P365XL? I hope so.
How about a p365 with a firing pin that does NOT break?
this is amazing!!!!
I just got my p365 xl and waiting on the romeo release and your dropping this!?
Are you feeling charitable by chance? Hope this is somewhat budget friendly because I must have it.
Great idea and in the p365 package...seriously makes me wonder what you all have got coming next. Excellent.
dodgersfn Shepard I believe it retails a little higher than the 365, I saw one at a gun show for 530
Take my money!!
Does it have striker drag like my 365??
Please pardon my ignorance if my question isn’t a good one, but I’m wondering if there any safety issues with having a ported slide/barrel?
I have already asked, but I really would love to get just the SAS slide to replace my original.
@C R No. Not really. But the low profile slide release would be cool.
I love my Sig 365 SAS, but the site fires way to the left. I spoke to a friend, who has the same issue. A couple high level shooters have had this same experience. Are you aware of this problem? Is Sig offering a fix? This was an obvious issue as close as 7 yards.
Are there any plans to add the SAS feature to the p320 family?
there are 5 safeties on a 1911, well 3, of the 5 are theoretical... grip, thumb and firing pin block... the 4th is the slide lock, the 5th is the operator... they are both the longest serving pistol in military history and the safest firearm known to mankind!
_______
That still in no way justifies using an obsolete pistol design from the second generation era any more than using a canvas bi-plane for transatlantic flight...
