I don't think Dutch killed himself for John and his family. It's more likely that he just wanted to go on his own terms, since killing John was no longer an option. At the end, Dutch knew his death would not keep John and his family safe, because he knew that Ross and his men would have to find another monster to kill after they've dealt with him, and John was the most likely candidate for that.

Truth is Dutch was always a murderer. His gang just kept him from going off the deep end. Dutch from the start of Red Dead 2 is shown to think his ideals exist over everyone else because of "corruption". Dutch justifies his actions by labeling them as a means to an end for some great goal. You can even see him do that in this video. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Dutch may have been fighting for an ideal world before Micha, but once he got in Dutch's head Dutch didn't know the difference between his dream and being an outright criminal. At this point he was completely lost and it is sad to see. I want a game where we see him, Hosea and Arthur when they first started so we can see that loving fatherly side of him again like it started in rdr2...
It wasn't Micah who found Dutch, but Dutch who found Micah. He always found the right company to never stop.
Dutch was always bad, it just became apparent toward the end. He manipulated everyone.
Playing rdr1 after rdr2 is a completely unique experience
Is John holding a Colt 9mm?
1911 I guess, game is set in 1914 so...
Hi im colt
.45
"A Colt 9mm" 💀💀💀 No, he's holding a browning. There's no such thing as a "Colt 9mm", there's a Colt .45 though which finished development in 1911.
Dutch understood the reality of what comes with that life. He knew he was at the bottom of everything, he knew that his old ass was running on a timer. "Family"
Song name?
Ykwim? - Yot Club
@@hoggerguy2151thanks bro, that music is so depressing and I love it, sometimes we need a bit of depre to remember us about our deph feelings

"They already lost their families"
"So did you dutch" would have been a great response
Dutch gives off massive Negan vibes
I loved every interaction between Dutch and John. They always showed how simple John was, his dialogue always being something simple and dismissive such as "I guess so" or "that's their business" while Dutch is a very intelligent but deranged man, often talking endlessly about his greater plans and philosophical views on the world.
John believed in that idea, this clip makes it sound like it's the first time he has introduced the idea.
"that sounds like a beautiful plan, john. only problem is I'm the one who should be doing the planning around here"
“That sounds like a beautiful plan, John, only problem is it doesn’t involve *tAhItI* “
Underrated
I can't believe this is the same dutch in RDR 2.
This with the context of rdr2 is Gold 🔥
Dutch was out there for like 5 mins right near the pinkertons headquarters shooting his gun and no one comes and kills him
Damn dutch really has changed hes done with pretending he just admitted that at this point hes just doing it for the hell of it
Dutch lying to those boys like he was to the gang in red dead redemption 2
This game is really different after playing rdr2. Damn I miss the old Dutch
