  • Decided to make some space at home and scrap a pile of home network devices. Some turned to be good quality ones. Enjoy the video!

Thanks for all the great information, I also have a pile of this kind of home network devices, modems, mostly older then what you show on this video, and besides a decent sized MLCC's here and there they contain a lot of really really small once, like 50-100 MLCC's but like 1/3 of the size of the once you call "really small", my question is should i remove those, is it worth it, when i try i end up breaking them most of the time since they are so small, is it worth the hassle, are they the same and size doesnt matter? (almost all of the really small once are nonmagnetic also)

Hi, with MLCCs size doesn’t matter :) One scrapper was saying in one video - if you want to put palladium in electronics, where is more probable to put it? In a small element or in a big one? This was his logic ... small elements have better precious metals content.
If you have time and patience - take them!

@@escrapchannel wow exacly what my toughts were, thanks for confirming, its still just a hobby of mine for now so yeah its worth for me, already started collecting them just wanted to make sure I am not on a wrong road. Thank you so much for the fast response and have a great week!
Tip i learned for others reading this: use a sheet of paper as a "work station" when depopulating the really small once, it makes it so much easier to get all the small bits that are broken into your container :D
