This episode originally aired September 3, 1955..... one week later the first TV episode of Gunsmoke aired. I prefer the radio version. Robert Conrad 'kills' as Marshal Dillon. I prefer the whole radio cast to the TV cast actually. ......... "This is it LMN filters........ are the best ! "
Mark Q, One of the best parts of the series is that we are hearing the original radio broadcasts. They give you a flavor of the times and life of the USA in the 1950's. Besides the commercials are fun to hear and only last a minute. The other announcements give you a first hand history of the era. Try listening to other episodes again with a fresh attitude. You may come to agree with me.
I like the commercials they bring out the nostalgia.

George Fenneman speaks for Chesterfield.
It's L&M.
A woman can change her mind can't she? 💃🎉🍺💰🚬😍😁
Love hurts.
Hey Doc, I don't get to pick and choose 🤠🐴🐎🐂
I'm dying for a Chesterfield and I've never smoked.
I like to play the OTR drinking game and take a sip of water every time they mention smoking. Keeps you healthy and hydrated!
L&M stand out from the rest.
28:47- "Now stay tuned for 'CITY HOSPITAL', which follows over most of these stations. This is the CBS RADIO NETWORK."
Another sad tale involving a bar girl, which really makes you think... 🤔🤔🤔 10 Jun 2024

There has to be something for the "Karen's" to complain about
@mark quigley
RUclips has a feature that allows you to fast forward excruciating announcements
Your whiny complaint is a little excruciating, my friend. The commercials bring out the nostalgia.
