    I’ve heard over 400 episodes, multiple times! Been listening since I was a teen and I’m 48. Tonight is the first time I’ve heard this one. Thx!

    Yèah many thanks J Mac!!!....I 'm addicted to this awesome radioshow and its characters ..all these great actors ...and not to forget all the great solid storylines many of them written by John Meston. I simply cann't get out of 'the Matt, Kitty, Chester and Doc' Dodge City. Almost every story tells about 'real life' and 3-D people. And full of humour too. 480 episodes of The Gunsmoke Radio Show.....what else?!!

    I thought that I had listened to every episode of Gunsmoke - 2 or 3 times, this is the first time for this one. I haven’t even seen it listed before. Thanks

    I grew up watching Gun smoke. I'm 71 years old. There's only one episode I hadn't seen. It had James Arnes's real daughter, Jennifer, in it.

    That's probably the darkest episode in the history of the radio series.

      @cdigrobts 5 месяцев назад +2

      No, there are several others that are much darker than this. but it was a good one very gritty and that’s what I like about gunsmoke not all of their episodes. Have a happy ending. This was real life.

    GUNSMOKE had so many shows with downbeat endings.
    No wonder they couldn't get sponsors.
    Best radio drama of all - time.

      I guess that is why the show was considered an adult drama.

      @@jmac5755 Yes. Not a shoot- em - up with well- worn, cliched storylines. It is ART!

      Yes, but this was real life. That’s one reason I love gunsmoke so much in my opinion it was the best western on radio, and one of the best radio shows in general ever.
