What I like about these old-time radio shows is the immense creativity they display. Because they are very cheap to produce, not requiring sets, location shoots, or complex and expensive practical or CGI special effects like TV or movies, the sky's the limit in terms of plots, characters, settings, etc.

It was JD that got me back into old radio. I may get a lot of flack but I listen to Johnny and somtimes Richard Diamond. I can't get enough of these shows. Here I've evacuated for the hurricane and prefer to listen to this insted.
